Fireweed Metals – Lundin Family Leading A $35 Million Financing, Initial Results At Boundary West The Best Ever On The Project
Over the past 2 weeks Fireweed Metals (TSX.V:FWZ – OTCQB:FWEDF) announced the first round of drill results from the Boundary West zone (November 22nd), which yielded the best intercept to date on the Project, a $27 million financing being lead by the Lundin family (November 29th), then up-sized the financing to $35 million (November 30th).
Brandon McDonald, CEO of Fireweed Metals joins us to recap all the news starting with the financing. We discuss how the deal with the Lundin family came together and what the money will be used for in terms of exploration next year.
We then move to the initial drill results at the Boundary West area on the MacMillian Pass Project, in Yukon. A focus is on Hole 2 which “intersected high-grade massive sulphides and veins: 124 m of 12.3% zinc, 1.3% lead, and 45.9 g/t silver including 60 m of 19.0% zinc, 1.6% lead, and 64.7 g/t silver, the best ever intersection recorded anywhere at Macmillan Pass, in terms of grade x thickness.
