On this update from Fury Gold Mines (TSX:FURY – NYSE:FURY) we are joined by the new President and CEO Tim Clark as well as the Chairman, Ivan Bebek.
We start by introducing Tim and his background in the resource industry. We also have Tim outline what he is excited about and his big picture growth plans for the Company.
On the corporate front both Tim and Ivan recap the recent transaction with Dolly Varden, selling the Homestake Property in the Golden Triangle of BC for CAN$50million in cash ($5milllion) and shares (over 76.5million shares of Dolly Varden). We then look ahead to the work plans for 2022. The focus being mostly on Eau Claire at the Hinge and Snake Lake targets as well as the Committee Bay, in Nunavut, the Ellenanor South JV with Newmont, and the Percival Property.

The Fury decision to sell Homestake Ridge to Dolly Varden made a great deal of sense for both shareholders of FURY and DV, and rightfully consolidates the land into one main project. It is nice to see Fury with a 37% stake in the upside of Dolly Varden and in strong hands.
.
This allows Fury to focus on Eau Claire, Committee Bay, and the JV at Eleanore South, while still having exposure to the upside at Homestake. I’m a happy shareholder of both companies.
Taylor Dart on Calibre. Says the hub and spoke model is working well. He likes the Fiore acquisition. As usual with TD’s analysis he’s taking a wait and see aapproach.

Yes, Calibre has done a fantastic job the last 2 years on growing the resources through aggressive exploration, putting more satellite deposit spokes into production at their La Libertad Mill hub, and the acquisition of Fiore was smart for diversification of jurisdictions, and because they utilize their same strategy of growing the hub and spoke model in Nevada around the central Pan Mine hub. I’ve increased the size of Calibre mining in my basket of gold producers as their share prices pulled down some over the last few months, and really like it as position-trade for the next 12-18 months.
I’ve been following FURY closely and preparing in the future to take a position in them. Technically, there is probably still a little downside but I’m not going to get too cute by trying to purchase the exact bottom.
Doc give us a heads up when you think it’s a good buy zone in some of these mining stocks when the charts look optimal for a bottoming process. Cheers!
I love the sale to Dolly V that gives them some cash but also retains the exploration upside. I like the strategy go forward and am accumulating shares. I also own shares in Dolly and am accumulating shares.
