Volatility across the board – We look at the relationship between the US markets and gold
Dana Lyons joined me later in the day yesterday to comment on the higher volatility in markets pretty much across the board. We look at the rotation of money from this week as the markets continued to correct and get Dana’s thoughts on the correction for gold.

WOW…bonzo….Four generations , i would sure like to tour your house , i love antiques.
How many of the four generations have lived there ?
Irish, the house was built in 1941 by a builder for his family. He sold it to my parents in 1946. My grandmother moved here with her stuff in 1973. She died in 1982.
Hey Bonzo, thanks man, and good point about not being a wage slave and working towards being a full-time private investor. If the bull market in PM miners could have kicked in just a bit more (more multi-baggers from current levels) then I was considering doing investing full time. I’m a bit trepidatious about only relying on investing income without having the wages as the primary stream, but am working towards that reality.
Right now I have had my strategy derailed by the pandemic, reduction in force from my career, and am battening down the hatches financially, selling the home for the equity, packing our bags and preparing for a radical change into the next chapter of life. Once we get settled and re-established in a few months, I hope to be back and contributing here more regularly again, and will try to pop in once in a while to check on you merry pranksters.
That is really interesting that you have lived in one house and one place for such a time with 4 generations of family heir looms and so much history all in one spot. Wishing your family many more years of generational prosperity and happiness.
Ever Upward!
I do not know what is going on with Excelsior…..I wish him good fortune….Maybe stay on posting occasionally?….
Go back and read the comments……………you might see what is going on
I see what is going on…..I do appreciate you Excelsior…..I know what you face more than can be explained here…..Yes unloading stuff for things that matter…It helps..But moving is a difficcult task any way it is cut…..I am new here by the standards of longevity….Keep the faith 5+
Thanks for the well wishes Larry. I also have appreciated your post on natural remedies and health, politics, and life. I also wish you and your family health, wealth and happiness. Once I get through the next few months, transverse the country twice, and get all settled into my home/career/next chapter of life, then I’ll have had a rest and will do my best to contribute once again when the time is right. Cheers!
Ditto bonzo………..no wage slave 1974,,,,,,,,,,
No Mortgage,,,,,1988,,,,,,,,,,,,no car payment, no credit cards,,,,,,,,,,live life,,,,, 🙂
Personally, I never got off the Jim Morrison train. Take me to Portugal take me to Spam? The future’s uncertain & the end is always near—
Ex. Enjoy your freedom; there’s nothing better. You may have to cut your cloth to fit your purse, but I’m sure anyone with your intelligence, and a bit of a nest egg, will do just fine.
Much appreciated CFS. Thanks for the kind words and vote of confidence, as I deconstruct the old chapter of life, and work on creating the next new chapter. You’ve recently done something similar from your comments on moving across the country and putting down new roots, so wishing you well likewise in your new chapter.
Markets are a JOKE,,,,,,,,,really need to get a life,,,,,,,
Excelsior, sorry to hear you were laid off and won’t be here as much as usual. I’ll miss you. The good news is that you are no longer a wage slave and can spend the rest of your life as a private investor. I have not been a wage slave since 1981 and have done just fine playing the market. If Bonzo can do it, you can too! If I were you I’d buy 100000 shares of NULGF and wait for them to drill a new Betze-Post which could take the stock from 11 cents to $20. Then you could sell out for $2,000,000 and be safe for years to come.
Good luck with your move. I have never moved and have been in this house since 1948.
I have all my stuff, my parents’ stuff, my grandparents and great-grandparents’ stuff. It’s like living in an antique gallery. I hope I never have to move. What an ordeal that would be…Good luck!
