Gold and Silver Continuing To Get a Buy

Cory
November 8, 2017

Chris Temple and I look at the market moves today which are in favor of the precious metals once again. There could be many reasons for this move but we focus on the tax reform topic that still has a lot of questions around it as well as a general slowdown in the US markets. Oil is also a topic of discussion as crude is holding above $57 barrel after a drop this morning but the supply side of the equation thanks to a higher US rig count continues to be too high.

You know of course that there is no such thing as a “Comex Bank” and that he made that up. You don’t think he’s trying to feed your fantasies just to get people to listen to him, do you?

Well it’s about damn time…… Finally some real supply destruction in the Uranium space:

(CCO) (CCJ) Cameco to suspend production from McArthur River and Key Lake operations and reduce its dividend

Now maybe the Utility companies may raise their eyebrows and take notice that an industry leader like Cameco is shuttering production.

      * Here’s a clue Uranium Industry – No company is going to produce at $20 lb. Period.

      > Raise it to $50-$60 and then you’ll have a source of future supply. Otherwise, the supply will go bye-bye and it’s lights out.

That’s a real hum-dinger alright. I’m curious if they’ll be any industry drag from this Cameco news, but there were a number of smaller companies that actually sprung up on the news (being seen as painful but a positive overall).

Still others rightly pointed out that if Cameco sells off, it will drag the ETF (URA) down with it, and that will drag down other stocks featured more prominently in that ETF. Definitely something to consider.
