More People Are Waking Up To Ecuador
At the current Mines and Money Conference in Toronto Ecuador is drawing a lot of attention. Chris Temple has been pounding the table for a couple years now on how positive the business environment has become in the Country and now more people are waking up. He shares some of the positive changes that recently happened and a couple companies he is watching.

September was the sixteen year anniversary of the 9/11 Tragedy.
If you go back 16 years to 1985,the national debt was 1.8 trillion.
2001 the national debt was 5.8 trillion. That is an increase of 4 trillion in 16 years.
2017 the national debt is over 20 trillion. That is an increase of over 14.2 trillion.
To continue on this pace, the national debt must increase 1.5 trillion per year on average for the next 16 years.
My question is. Where is the money going to come from?
Since when has debt mattered? Especially when it is denominated in the reserve currency, which can be printed at will. Who would dare stop the music?
The Fed creates this money out of thin air. You must have faith!

We will continue to spread Democracy.
One bomb at a time.
That’s makes sense since democracy is as destructive as a bomb.

lol Rickards is peddling his new book. What a surprise.
Good comment Dave.
I actually bought his latest book and read it.
My take away, Once CIA, always CIA.
He said we’d start using a new IMF currency last September 30 “at about 4:00 p.m. Eastern time” to pay our bills, as that was when the dollar would be dead and the new “global” currency unleashed. Too bad such an otherwise smart, insightful man has turned himself into a circus clown.
After listening to this interview of Rickards, it sounds like Rickards is promoting his new private company more than anything else. Working with the Watson IBM system, Phd, mathematician, engineers, coders. Lots of jargon about how smart he is. I say run as fast as you can away from these self promoters.
Complexity theory, applied mathematics……….wow he be smart. I buy his book.
Seriously? You know the story. baffle em with something.
Dave:
Actually Mr Rickards does explain Bayes Theorem.
If one uses Bayes Theorem applied to the 9/11 Event, things really can come into focus.
Of course Mr Rickards would never touch that.
Way easier chasing shiny objects.
Jim Carrey makes more sense:
Wayne:
Jim Carey? Of course nobody does drugs in Hollywood.

Why do the money changers at the Fed day after day continually have to reinforce the narrative that they actually have a believable plan for steering us out of the 20 trillion dollars of debt with no end in sight?

PRINT MORE MONEY,IN VADE MORE COUNTRIES.
Great comment John! I had a little chuckle at the rundown you provided of the speeches all crammed in.
I guess these guys just like hearing themselves talk… because I’m guessing we are not going to hear anything new!
Thanks Cory.
But He.
Keep up the good work.
But hey.
yes, but in the meantime people are getting rich!
Let your great grandchildren worry about it. Justice does not always prevail, and the “market” can take a hundred years to finally react. In the meantime, adopt fascism and get filthy rich now.
Weekly yen chart is hanging on a cliff. It is bound to hit the lower bollinger band, which is bending down already. There is no support whatsoever at this point. It needs to reverse hard here and get back to the 20 WMA. Not going to happen. I expect a very hard move down soon.

Mr Temple has been all over the Ecuador story. With the rising price of Copper, I believe more people started paying attention to the possibilities. At least I did.I always like debunking Mr T’s little “hints”.
Picking the juniors that are going to provide decent returns has became more challenging with so many passive investors simply buying ETF’s. I’m not real big on newsletter writers, but in this case I can see somebody with limited time would really benefit from subscribing to the National Investor.
Hi Chris Temple ; You still love Salazar Res ? ( 0 , 13 ) CAD Know ? And ? Tank U !
I do.
AXU You can’t deny the similar technical setup in AXU that we have in place now compared to the action just before the beginning of the crash in 2012. It is eerily similar. Even the MAs and Ichimoku clouds are in very similar configurations relative to price. Something for the PM bulls to at least think about.

Do we break through the 100 WMA like a hot knife through butter this time too? My guess is yes. The big question will come when we break below the 200 WMA and then get a backtest. Is anyone willing to hang on and find out???
Take a look at the MACD and the full stochastic that I added to your chart:

You should also not ignore the fact that a huge bear market has happened between then and now and that last year’s huge move was very bullishly very powerful. (!!!)
That actually makes a lot more sense. Another clue is the recent RSI reading that spiked above the previous peak. That did not happen in 2012.
Please let me know when you’ve finally turned bullish because I will sell everything.
Lol. From 2015, I thought that the BGMI would break out of its 40 year trading range to the upside on the next bull run. So plenty of room yet.
I also made millions and lost millions on silver miners between 2010 and 2013. I remember that bullet proof feeling I had at the top. I will never forget it. I wish I had someone slapping me in the face and telling me to sell even half my position or at a minimum get rid of my huge margin position. But nope, I stayed fully leveraged the entire way down practically, trying to catch lightning in a bottle again.
I’ll just remain your incompetent bearish foil for this entire run. It is you who should ring the bell for us non-traders to start paring our positions and ultimately to get the hell out and buy a farm in New Zealand with the proceeds.
Matthew, please let me know when you sell everything so I can get out too. Have you bought back any USAS you sold near $5 US ? I never sold even though I knew it would correct. I never buy on margin.
Matthew, do you own any mining stocks in Ecuador? That reminds of an Ecuador joke.
Knock, knock. Who’s there? Amos. Amos who? Amos Quito.
O Pancho! O Cisco!
” It is you who should ring the bell for us non-traders to start paring our positions”
But you fight every insight he offers you, Spanky!
I want to see his responses.
I am still long, for better or worse.
I have not bought back the USA/USAS that sold but it looks like I probably should have. My son did. The next time it goes above $5, it will probably fly.
http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=USAS&p=D&yr=0&mn=7&dy=0&id=p84274104444
I also do not hold any Ecuadorian stocks which probably means I am about to miss another Novo!
The chart is bullish.
Why bears enjoy the ‘To the Moon!’ refrain so much, I’m not sure. I guess it’s to paint all bulls as having that perspective. Regardless, the chart is bullish.
Heck, if you just caught the July to Sept move, it was 38%, far better than most investors can hope for in a year. Or if you take it from the Dec. 2016 low, which a number of us called very close to the bottom here, it’s gone from 1.10 to a current $1.46, for a gain of ~32%.
If you want it to go straight up you’re almost certain to be disappointed.
AXU is not the one I am worried about. It has held up like an absolute champ. It’s EXK and AG which look like complete turds on longer timeframe charts that I am worried about.
The chinese oil for gold plan could change everything.
GH, the numbers you mention do not begin to compare to cryptos.
Now which way is a person that has never invested going to go?
That without considering pot is going to be sold recreationally in a few months, that kinda looks like a slam dunk investment to people.
The gold industry needs a big winner to get interest back to it.
That might be novo.
Spanky, Fair enough, those have been dogs this year. But that’s the flip side of the coin to their huge run up in 2016. If/when the next run up comes, they will outperform to the upside as well.
A key consideration: are we in a cyclical bull or a cyclical bear? Your comments are those of one who believes we are in a cyclical bear still. I and a number of others are arguing we are in a cyclical bull. That makes all the difference.
Yes, it’s still a wall of worry. But as I pore over the precious metals charts, I just see them continually tripping bullish signals lately.
It looks to me like the low is in place for EXK and AG is shaping-up, too.
EXK, can we possibly get an explosive backtest of these converging MAs before the death cross? Again, probably pure hopium to think so.

Just out that the Vegas killer was given 50 valium pills in June. Side effects can include violence and suicide. Almost all recent mass killers (except the muslims) are on psychotic drugs. Maybe those should be banned instead of guns.
What? Ban drugs?
What would people do?
Other than pot of course, and only dopes do dope.
There you go again Bonzo, uncovering another rabbit hole. How can Hollywood possibly survive without all those drug commercials?Cut it out Bonzo. Go to your Dr. immediately.
