Appropriate for the Fourth of July. Thank you Laura Stein!
|
Remember our National Motto “IN GOD WE TRUST”
Could not be more appropriate for the Fourth of July!
If Gary North is correct (and I have no reason to doubt him) the colonists had greater freedom and far lower taxes and inflation under the King.
And of course, if the colonists could see what we have today they’d be horrified with the high taxes, mind numbing regulations and loss of freedom, not to mention the incomprehensible amount debt and the meddling all over the globe and endless war.
In my opinion, there is absolutely nothing to celebrate about this bogus holiday.
Tricked on the Fourth of July

The Stamp Duty which started the American Revolution was 2.5%
Six pence in the pound. (There being 240 pence in the pound)
Taxation, now by the divide it into as many possible pieces theory is not recognized as being as high as it actually is. (And that does not even count the tax we have deferred to our children to bear by the massive government debt.) It probably now is close to 100%, if you include FICA Taxes, ACA healthcare taxes, state sales, income and property taxes and interest on National debt.
Time for DEBT JUBILEE
Even George Washington was a debt slave ,before the Rev. War
Thanks very much for that link, DC
You’re welcome, Big Al!
It probably now is close to 100%, if you include FICA Taxes, ACA healthcare taxes, state sales, income and property taxes and interest on National debt.
And we must never forget the hidden taxes of inflation and financial repression.
Good point Eddy!
We definitely do have some priorities that are misguided. The main one is voter orientated. The politicians are, to a very large extent out there “buying” votes.
Colonial Scrip worked very well back then.
And then defaulted…
Counterfeiting was a big problem…..death by hanging still did not cure the problem
Correct Jerry.
Benjamin Franklin Was All Wet on Economics
https://mises.org/library/benjamin-franklin-was-all-wet-economics
Where is this extensive counterfeiting of Scrip in the Colonies noted. It would be an interesting read.
Matthew — Thank you for the link. A most salient point was made in the single comment, rather than in the article itself:
“The significant point in Franklin’s monetary and banking system is that it provided a public currency issued by the government and operated for the benefit of the country and its citizens. The present currency is issued by privately owned banks, with the benefit going to the banks’ founders and share holders at the expense of the nation and its citizens.”
The problem, BDC, is that Franklin’s monetary and banking system had nothing good going for it no matter his intentions or beliefs. He was young and most (if not all) of his conclusions about money were wrong.
Don’t make the old mistake of thinking that something was “good” just because certain people didn’t like it.
The Causes of the Revolution of 1776
“Franklin’s monetary and banking system had nothing good going for it…” — Just because you and your sorces say it, doesn’t make it so. It is opinion, which Franklin is no longer around to counter.
One very important reason for the Revolution was the currency problem, which your second source brushes aside with “acts regulating the colonial currency” and no further development.
It’s your opinion, and that of your sources. That’s all.
Re: “It’s your opinion, and that of your sources. That’s all.”
Well it’s a little more than that (thousands of hours of study) but I can already see that you’re not into learning something new.
Franklin need not be present since his writings are still with us – and he was definitely all wet, as the article claimed.
Memorizing info and regurgitating it is not the same as learning and understanding it.
lol
Indeed.
Colonial Scrip was outlawed, the BOE was around even back then.
BDC and Matthew, interesting discussion thank you for taking the time.
When men reject the 10 Commandments of God, they embrace the 10,000,000 Commandments of Man.
So very true, Wayne. Did you ever stop and think just how simple and good life would be if we simply followed the ten Commandments? I have!
Oh yes there is, Eddy. Know what it is? WE are in the process of changing the bad things.
Mark Levin discusses the declaration of Independence:
Thank you. I just listened to it.
Authored by Ron Paul via The Ron Paul Institute for Peace & Prosperity,
As Independence Day comes around again we should spend a few moments between barbecue and fireworks to think about the meaning of independence. The colonists who rebelled against the British Crown were, among other things, unhappy about taxation. Yet, as economist Gary North points out, the total burden of British imperial taxation was about one-to-two percent of national income.
Some 241 years later, Washington claims more of our money as its own than King George could have ever imagined. What do we get in this bargain? We get a federal government larger and more oppressive than before 1776, a government that increasingly views us as the enemy.
Think about NSA surveillance. As we have learned from brave whistleblowers like William Binney and Edward Snowden, the US intelligence community is not protecting us from foreigners who seek to destroy our way of life. The US intelligence community is itself destroying our way of life. Literally every one of our electronic communications is captured and stored in vast computer networks. Perhaps they will be used against “dissidents” in the future who question government tyranny.
We have no privacy in our computers or our phones. If the government wants to see what we are doing at any time, it simply switches on our phone camera or computer camera – or our “smart” television. Yet today we continue to hear, “I’ve got nothing to hide.”
In a recent interview on our Liberty Report, Edward Snowden made the excellent point that,
“saying that you don’t care about privacy because you have nothing to hide is no different than saying you don’t care about freedom of speech because you have nothing to say.”
Think about the TSA. The freedom to travel is fundamental, and our Fourth Amendment protection against unreasonable searches and seizures is the law of the land. But if you dare to exercise that right by purchasing an air ticket, you are treated like a Guantanamo Bay detainee. Don’t dare question as the TSA agents commit acts that would be crimes were they done by anyone else. Yet so many Americans still believe this is what it takes to be “safe.”
Think about the military industrial complex. The US government spends more on its military empire than much of the rest of the world combined. Our so-called mortal enemy Russia spends ten cents to every dollar we spend on weapons of war. Yet we are told we must spend more! Imagine the amazing peaceful scientific discoveries that might be made were so many researchers and scientists not on the government payroll designing new ways to end life on earth.
Think about the Fed. Since the creation of the Federal Reserve in 1913 the US dollar has lost some 98 percent of its value. Is the destruction of our currency not a cruel form of tyranny, hitting hardest those who can least afford it?
I think it’s time for us to declare our independence from an oppressive government that seeks to control our money and our lives in ways unimaginable to those who rebelled against the British Crown in 1776. Our revolution is peaceful, and it concentrates on winning hearts and minds one at a time. But it marches on. We must reclaim the spirit of independence every day and every night and intensify the struggle against those who seek to impose tyranny upon us.
Truly “words of wisdom”!
And if the above was not bad enough…
http://mogamboguru.com/current_issue.html
I have read Mogambo for 20 years-he has consistently said that disintegration is coming and buy gold-but it never seems to happen-gold gets creamed and fake money and prosperity on paper just keeps rolling along.
Mogambo is an interesting guy. I used to “share the stage” with him at The Silver Summat. He is also quite a musician by the way.
Nasdaq Triggers Market-Wide Circuit-Breaker As AMZN “Crashes” 87% After-Hours
Nasdaq has issued a market-wide trading halt amid what appears to be a “glitch” that sent a number of the largest Nasdaq-listed stocks to crash or spike to exactly $123.47 per share. This move crashed the value of companies including Amazon and Apple, sparked chaos in Microsoft, while sending Zynga rocketing up more than 3000%.
I have no idea about this, but I think it shows the risk in markets.
I continually say the biggest risk a market player takes is the market itself.
Big payoffs or forget it as far as Im concerned.
Thanks b. As I am now very focused on politics, I was unaware of that event.
UN presents truth on Syria
Israel,U.S., Saudi fund mercenaries, people support Assad.
Just shows you what a convoluted mess that is over there, b.
UN WARNING: Only 3 YEARS Left to SAVE THE PLANET!!!
If Brent Cook still believes in the global warming non-sense I sure hope he listens to that.
If he cared about the facts, he wouldn’t have fallen for it in the first place.
I have no use for the judgment or analysis of any hoax promoter.
Stephen Hawking: Trump Pushing Earth’s Climate ‘Over The Brink’
The world’s best-known living physicist, Stephen Hawking, says that President Trump’s decision to pull out of the Paris climate change accord could lead humanity to a tipping point, “turning the Earth into Venus.”
The Cambridge professor and renowned cosmologist made the remarks in an interview with the BBC that aired Sunday.
“We are close to the tipping point where global warming becomes irreversible,” Hawking told the BBC. “Trump’s action could push the Earth over the brink, to become like Venus, with a temperature of 250 degrees, and raining sulphuric acid.”
Interesting how some people know more than the most informed and intelligent people on the planet.
I know I know, Hawkings is a fear pumper.
No, Hawking is just doing his part for the globalists. It’s funny that you fall for it.
I never knew that Hawkins had the reputation of a “fear pumper”.
The raining sulfuric acid is so ridiculous it made me chuckle.
How can people be so damn gullible?
Sure, Hawkings works for the globalist, I can see that, so does Suzuki, they both work for the Zionists, why didnt I see that?
Do you guys belong to the flat earth society?
97% of scientists believe climate change is caused by humans, study …
http://www.independent.co.uk › News › Science
Apr 13, 2016 – 97 per cent of scientists agree that climate change is caused by … is that this is not just one study — it’s the consensus of multiple studies.”.
Consider only 1500 archetects and engineers believe the towers were not brought down by airliners, but 97% of scientists are working for the Zionists, sure, makes perfect sense.
Funny b. So… have you ever looked at the qualifications of all those scientists? Did you know that most are no more qualified than anyone else? Have you questioned that 97%? If that percentage is accurate, surely you can tell us how many scientist there are in total – you know, 100%?
Then there’s funding. Have you looked at how many of those “experts” rely on money from the government? Did you know that big oil funds THEM, contrary to what you’ve been led to believe? Do you know what a conflict of interest is?
Does it not register with you that these people are completely UNscientific when they idiotically and TYRANNICALLY attempt to shut down the debate? How about the fact that the s.o.b.’s are all hypocrites who’ve been wrong about every fear-mongering prediction?
Those who’ve got a brain cell or two don’t even need to dig into their bs claims to know that there’s a big problem.
Looks like you’ve found your religion, b.

More Than 1000 International Scientists Dissent Over Man-Made Global Warming Claims – Challenge UN IPCC & Gore
4 years ago:
World’s top climate scientists confess: Global warming is just QUARTER what we thought – and computers got the effects of greenhouse gases wrong
I guess this guy knows nothing about global warming. 🙂
Global warming…er….sorry…climate change is just a scam. It has nothing to do with science and everything to do with gaining more control over our lives and money.
Even the IPCC admitted that: “The long-term prediction of future climate states is not possible.”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwqIy8Ikv-c
Unqualified?
And here I am thinkin the Pen and Teller university was revered by all.
Just thinkin, I might agree that the tax was ment simply to enrich the globalists and enslave the masses,…except, the masses are already enslaved and the globalists already own pretty much everything.
some things just make ya say hmmm.
b, if you want to jump on the global warming…er…climate change band wagon and save the plane move to Colliefornia….as Ahnode calls it.
Then you can pay your share in carbon taxes. And guess where the carbon tax money goes? It is a slush fund for corrupt politicians and their cronies.
Ebolan’s Nobel Laureate lecture is a must watch.
“Scientist say warming is a quarter of predictions”
Well the article in the link is from 2013 and they are talking about predictions made much earlier than that. Science isn’t perfect and never claimed to be.
The article says there hasn’t been an increase in global temperatures since 1997, but I found this
” Sixteen of the 17 warmest years in the 136-year record all have occurred since 2001, with the exception of 1998. The year 2016 ranks as the warmest on record. (Source: NASA/GISS). This research is broadly consistent with similar constructions prepared by the Climatic Research Unit and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.”
That is from NASA
https://climate.nasa.gov/vital-signs/global-temperature/
So the argument there is that if they aren’t 100% right in their predictions then it’s all BS? Nah. Just because the hurricane hits at 7:00 and not at 6:00 like they said it would doesn’t mean that the information that a hurricane was coming was useless.
That is from a scientist that is not a globilist, opposes the neocons, does not like central banks, figures Israel should drop the Yinon plan, dislikes the Zionists and really doesnt like isis. oh and etc etc lol
Your belief that scientists that say we have global warming, are supported by..what was it? oil companies? plain ol aint so.
Some scientists actually know whats goin on.
To be honust tho, most are like most people and havnt a clue about anything other than their science.
” So… have you ever looked at the qualifications of all those scientists? Did you know that most are no more qualified than anyone else? Have you questioned that 97%? If that percentage is accurate, surely you can tell us how many scientist there are in total – you know, 100%?
Then there’s funding. Have you looked at how many of those “experts” rely on money from the government? ”
In order to get a job as a scientist (ie research funding etc) a person has to actually have a degree, usually a masters. Where exactly does this guy think all the graduates of science programs go? If 97% of doctors tell me I’ll get lung cancer if I smoke does that make them all paid shills too? Who is checking all the dr’s qualifications exactly?!? I mean are they even Dr’s?!?! They are more qualified than anyone else because they have a piece of paper that says they are, that’s the damn point. Just like a surgeon has one that says he’s better than the guy bagging your groceries at reattaching your finger.
How many scientists are there on the planet? How many are doing research on climate? Who knows? Why does that matter at all? These people talk about things that are inconsequential because they don’t *shocker* understand science. If they did, they would be debating actual useful shit, like scientists do on the regular.
It’s very clear that whoever wrote this has no scientific knowledge. I wish that this guy could talk to the team of people who worked for years to identify the chemical signature of CO2 released from volcanoes so they could compare it to the other CO2 in the atmosphere. They they quantified just how much is from volcanoes. That took a lot of work, and I can only assume that this guy knows all about how those scientists did it.
As for the funding thing, yes governments fund research. Newsflash, governments fund a lot of stuff. Libraries, fire stations, public transit, and my librarian is just a librarian. She’s not working on a secret agenda to dumb down the masses.
That was just plain funny.
Re: “Science isn’t perfect and never claimed to be.”
Then why are the scammers claiming that “the science is settled” when it is, in fact, just the opposite of settled? Only liars try to shut down debate. Truth needs no such protection.
Sheeple are so easily manipulated because they don’t value thinking.
Another good one:
Oh, and one more thing about the 97%
It’s a very basic principle and makes total sense. People from different agencies all around the world do research about the same thing. They design studies and conduct tests. Then they all get together and compare the results. If the majority of the conclusions drawn from those results is similar (sayyyy 97%) then that would be pretty conclusive. That’s how science works. It’s pretty neat. I feel like this stuff should be taught in school…
lol and more lols
B, you clearly don’t get it. Just being a scientist does not make you qualified. There are many areas of expertise and many, if not most on the list of the “97%” are not experts on climate change.
Re: “How many are doing research on climate? Who knows? Why does that matter at all?”
Lol, b. It matters because it exposes a fraud if they claim 97% but can’t tell you how many make 100%. You can’t claim 97% if you don’t know how many there are in total!
What’s “just plain funny” is that you think these people are going to bite the hand that feeds them. Newsflash: you’re an absolute fool if you think government funding of science, education, medicine, etc is no problem or no cause for concern. I guess you missed the Popular Mechanics article about how/why the twin towers fell in the way that they did. If a private mag won’t cross the puppet masters, what makes you think a bunch of gov-funded scientists would do so and risk ruining their careers?
you honustly think Hawkins is lying to the world for dollars?
Why? He has always been wealthy.
A little more cash gonna get him that speed boat he has always wanted?
Sometimes the obvious answer is the correct one, Hawkins is telling the truth.
And, he is easily the most qualified person on earth as well as having the indisputable brains required to decipher the info.
Or, he is a globilists, a zionist mason that wants to enslave the earth.
Ya thats it, Hawkins wants to enslave the earth.
Im just shakin my head laffin as I type that.
If you guys havnt the respect to listen to the most qualified and intelligent person on earth…I dunno
Thats like sayin buddha or socrates were dingbats.
That’s a very child-like thought process you’ve got there, b.
only children get to heaven Mathew.
Not that Im tryin.
Mathew, when a person reads extensively with an open mind on both sides of the argument, what I found was that both arguments could be correct.
For quite some time I really couldnt form an opinion with certainty for either side despite personally knowing scientists that researched that situation.
My indecision drove them nuts.
It comes down to who do you believe, who is credible, who knows enough to determine such things.
There is no one more qualified than Hawkings, and to believe he is trying to guide mankind into some service of banks, Zionists, oil companies or deceive in any way is ludicrous.
Sometimes we plain ol gotta trust someone.
Science is not investing in markets where nobody knows anything.
I talk to a scientist friend of mine who gets some climate-change related funding because his area of expertise relates to carbon sources and sinks. I ask him what he thinks of anthropogenic climate change (ACC). From his response, it seems he has never made any special effort to assess the matter himself. He just says the usual: “It’s plausible. 97% of scientists agree. It’s no scam.”
I guess that makes him part of that supposed 97%.
In and of itself, the 97% claim is meaningless.
Fad, driven by funding and publication potential (which is controlled by a small handful of gatekeepers in any science), is a large and growing problem in the sciences.
Furthermore, the history of science is the history of the majority being WRONG about many things.
Saying ‘the science is settled’ when it most certainly isn’t; resorting to lame claims like the 97% figure; scare tactics like Earth turning into Venus if we don’t do something AT ONCE; belittling skeptics by giving them the cutesy label of ‘Deniers’ –these things don’t prove that ACC is a scam, but they certainly raise red flags. Valid issues have facts and logic on their side, they don’t need to be pushed by lame rhetoric.
That’s interesting.
If they can’t tell us the total number of scientists (they can’t), then they are lying about that 97%.
I tell you Matthew, I am surprised at the number of people who can’t see that this climate change business is just another way to take what’s left of our freedom and money. It’s all about control of us and it is frustrating people can’t see that.
Same goes for single payer. When you have people at a site like this advocating this I think we’ve reached a tipping point.
In my opinion, both carbon taxes and single payer are inevitable. And their disastrous results will prove both of us correct. And when that happens the same people who told us we were wrong will demand even more government control of our lives.
I agree, Ebolan. The same goes for all the sheep who think that fiat money is ok just as long as it isn’t issued by the Fed. They don’t see that it amounts to theft and centralized control either way and is just another scam that will produce the same results.
As I’ve said many times, ignorance is the true root of evil.
TOTAL BS.
You should know better Matthew.
I guess you didn’t watch it, CFS.
i watched part.
I disagree with arguing WITHOUT producing hard data.
HARD DATA can totally refute global warming without making estimates or arguing anything.
I am not at my main computer at the moment, but
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PIRz2tv6nk&t=5824s
is an example of just SOME HARD DATA that exists to totally debunk Global Warming.
There are better videos, but I don’t have those on this computer.
You’re still missing the point of the video. Corbett did a fine job mocking the scammers for exactly what you’re pointing out – their lack of hard data (not to mention their hypocrisy).
I guess I missed that part.
It does show that what you don’t know what you don’t know is a serious problem.
What causes global warming …..is all the plastic bottles in the ocean…. 😉
If you remember when you get to your main computer, please post the good video links you have on the topic, CFS. I’d like to get a bit more informed on this topic. For the moment I’m agnostic and, regardless of what the truth might be, I’m deeply skeptical of the measures being proposed to address it.
Coincidentally, I’ve been studying permaculture, soil science, etc. lately in preparation for a small permaculture project. A key aspect of permaculture is soil building through low- or no-till agriculture, perennial crops, etc. Building soil implies putting a lot of carbon into the soil in the form of increased organic matter. A number of accomplished soil scientists have made the point that agriculture that builds soil organic matter, instead of depleting it, could resolve the issue of increased atmospheric carbon dioxide in a few short years.
In my opinion, permaculture is the answer for many things:
1) Environmental issues — soil depletion, water contamination, etc.
2) Health issues
3) Antidote to increasing centralization of power and hierarchical social system that, if sufficiently widespread, may provide a foundation for anarcho-capitalism. The Rockefeller’s et al used their oil wealth to pervert and dominate our medical and food production systems. Permaculture give a great big finger to big oil, big pharma/medicine, and big ag.
Here’s 90 minutes of real science:
I would like to know how people can ignore the emails of what became known as climategate. Where there’s smoke, there’s fire, and those emails amounted to much more than smoke.
Governments benefit the most from an alarmed, divided and ignorant population.
It should be clear to all by now that the MSM is the propaganda arm of the central planners. It promotes what they want you to think without regard for what is true.
Here’s a good example:

No matter how insignificant the story, it’s all scripted…
Interesting dialog between all of you.
Not being a scientist at all, I cannot comment accurately as I can only agree or disagree with the opinions of the scientists.
Btw, the fraudulent claim that “97% of scientists agree” is explained in the 90 minute video posted above.
Based on the way it was done, the real number is 2%, not 97%.
You boys know that liberty depends on more taxation? Well, you do now. You got it straight from the mouth of Crass Sunshine.
Government as Slave Owner
Progressive thinking about government is exemplified in a new book titled The Cost of Rights: Why Liberty Depends on Taxation (Norton, 1999), by Princeton University professor Stephen Holmes and University of Chicago law professor Cass Sunstein.

We cannot alter the climate. Either way, we cannot increase or decrease the temperature. We can only accept the reality that the energy from the sun is altering the temp by the light bouncing back and forth in our earth atmosphere. Just because scientist publishes a paper doesn’t make them absolut – why? because there are ways that “influencers” alter what gets funded in academia… the model or path we are on right now is to tax carbon, not to save the plant but to blanket tax every human on the plant in one shot. i don’t have the solution, but i think the problem isn’t the problem we are told it is… its an off planet problem and its a science that we aren’t allowed to get access to… secret space program is the solution, the next astronomical event aug 21 or week of will expose a odd reality. What if the economy doesn’t crash, the weather doesn’t cause climate doom and everyone lives through a non-existant crisis? Then we will need a new drama that will keep people in fear. To read plato’s cave by plato would be prudent to understand what is going on with the climate debates is no different than plato’s cave… you are in the cave, they are using science full of #@%! to control narrative.
Thanks Barry. I appreciate our comment and will look up “Plato’s cave” right now.
The Allegory of the Cave, or Plato’s Cave, was presented by the Greek philosopher Plato in his work Republic (514a–520a) to compare “the effect of education (παιδεία) and the lack of it on our nature”. It is written as a dialogue between Plato’s brother Glaucon and his mentor Socrates, narrated by the latter. The allegory is presented after the analogy of the sun (508b–509c) and the analogy of the divided line (509d–511e).[citation needed] All three are characterized in relation to dialectic at the end of Books VII and VIII (531d–534e).[citation needed]
Plato has Socrates describe a group of people who have lived chained to the wall of a cave all of their lives, facing a blank wall. The people watch shadows projected on the wall from objects passing in front of a fire behind them, and give names to these shadows. The shadows are the prisoners’ reality. Socrates explains how the philosopher is like a prisoner who is freed from the cave and comes to understand that the shadows on the wall are not reality at all, for he can perceive the true form of reality rather than the manufactured reality that is the shadows seen by the prisoners. The inmates of this place do not even desire to leave their prison; for they know no better life. The prisoners manage to break their bonds one day, and discover that their reality was not what they thought it was. They discovered the sun, which Plato uses as an analogy for the fire that man cannot see behind. Like the fire that cast light on the walls of the cave, the human condition is forever bound to the impressions that are received through the senses. Even if these interpretations (or, in Kantian terminology, intuitions) are an absurd misrepresentation of reality, we cannot somehow break free from the bonds of our human condition – we cannot free ourselves from phenomenal state just as the prisoners could not free themselves from their chains. If, however, we were to miraculously escape our bondage, we would find a world that we could not understand – the sun is incomprehensible for someone who has never seen it. In other words, we would encounter another “realm”, a place incomprehensible because, theoretically, it is the source of a higher reality than the one we have always known; it is the realm of pure Form, pure fact.[1]
Socrates remarks that this allegory can be paired with previous writings, namely the analogy of the sun and the analogy of the divided line.
Scary oil industry outlook. Any comments?
Great Peter Schiff presentation at Cambridge House. Didn’t know he was there this year. I wonder if Mr. Big Al Korelin ran into him there.
I really don’t spend any time with Peter.
Why not? He seems like an interesting fellow.
Another great Schiff speech at Cambridge House.
She shouldn’t have had one to begin with. But it’s still misses the point, that we need to get at the ones that allowed this crap in the first place.
The comment above belongs under the Pelosi jet.
Dc, of course,I completely agree a do most.
dc
Blowsi got her jet taken away…about time! And look at the expense!
USAF TOOK NANCY ‘S JET AWAY
http://rense.com/general96/nancyplane.html
She should have lost it yrs ago
She is like Christie…above the people
Eddy, I thought the following was worth posting:
Nancy Pelosi’s Jet is GONE
Source Unknown
7-4-17
It’s gone, gone, gone Baby and never to return. Well, looks like the old broad of the House will have to pay her own way back and forth to California .
The Air Force took her jet away from her.
Read the article below.
Also read the backup “Backup Proof Below”.
USAF TOOK NANCY ‘S JET AWAY (verified by Snopes)
The real reason that Nancy Pelosi is considering retiring is that they took her Jet away. Ah, poor baby! As a result of a Judicial Watch filing under the Freedom of Information Act, the USAF released documents detailing House Speaker Pelosi’s use of United States Air Force aircraft between March 2009 and June 2010.
The data are published in the Judicial Watch Verdict of December 2010, Volume 16, Issue 12. Here are the main highlights revealed by the USAF. Keep in mind that all the data below relate to United States Air Force aircraft used by one woman over a sixteen month period.
Several of these flights included Ms. Pelosi’s guests, such as grown children, grandchildren, various in-laws, friends and hangers-on. Over 95% of the trips were between the west coast and Washington DC, for what you might call a commute between home and the office.
READ it and WEEP!!
Total trips: 85 over a 68 week period, or 125 average trips per week.
Total mileage: 206,264 miles, or 2,427 average miles per trip.
Total flying time: 428.6 hours, or an average of 5 hours per trip.
Cost to the taxpayers: $2,100,744, or $27,715 per trip, or $1,285,162 per year!
Cost of inflight food and alcohol: $101,429; $1,193 per trip; $62,051 per year.
On one junket to Baghdad, according to the Air Force report, she had the aircraft bar stocked with Johnny Walker Red Scotch, Grey Goose Vodka, E&J Brandy, Bailey’s Irish Cream, Maker’s Mark Whiskey, Courvoisier Cognac, Bacardi Rum, Jim Beam Whiskey, Beefeater Gin, Dewar’s Scotch, Bombay Sapphire Gin, Jack Daniels Whiskey, Corona Beer and several varieties of wine. This was obviously a very important “government business” trip.
Evidence generally speaks for itself and in Ms. Pelosi’s case it speaks the language of abuse and (evidently) a serious familiar drinking problem, for in a single year she and her spawn drank an amount in excess of the net income of the average employed American!
When she said, “If the stimulus doesn’t pass, five hundred million people might lose their jobs”, I thought she was unintentionally revealing her ignorance. I’m now more inclined to think she was pickled. Even though she can no longer abuse the USAF, she can either fly on her broom, or fly Southwest Airlines, where bags fly free.
Good one..
Make sure all you Trumpists [YOUR NOT REAL REPUBS ] buy your Trump neckties made in china !!!
GREAT SUMMARY……….and POST
