The US economy with Trump’s policies over the long term
With Chris Temple today we take a step away from talking day to day market moves and look more high level at the US economy considering some of Trump’s main policies. There is a large group of Americans that are very optimistic about the future of the US economy but when you follow some of the promises made by Trump the overall outlook is not as rosy.

The Patriot Act should be repealed along with the NDAA but that won’t happen either.
Obama/Bush/Clinton managed to take the US from #1 world power to bankrupt in two decades.
Whether Trump succeeds or not hinges on whether he understands economics.
Don’t forget that Reagan kicked-off the looting of the future and was the first to spend more than all the previous presidents combined.
I’ve never been a fan of Reagan, but I found this article, specifically the chart, interesting.

I don’t agree that the interest payments do anything to change the reality about Reagan’s actions. The rest of us have to deal with interest rates just like any other expense, why should the government be any different? The piece should come with a disclaimer warning of the authors socialist b.s.
Get a load of his other garbage:
Isn’t it fitting, btw, that a socialist would come to the defense of exactly what was wrong with Reagan (who voted for FDR four times).
On regulation, bureaucracy, trade, and even taxes, Reagan was hardly a free market guy.

The Reagan Fraud — and After
Good points. Regarding ‘fitting’, American politics just seems like a shell game to me, with all choices playing for the same team.
A shell game financed by a Ponzi scheme is exactly what it is and the players are, without any doubt, on the same team.
Bingo, Matthew
I see the debt and destruction starting with the federal reserve, after that it doesnt make any dif who is president. We get one that opposes the destruction of the nation and he is simply killed.
Makes me wonder if Icke isnt as insane as he sounds.
Bombshell Dropped in Federal Court: Proof of a Silver Market “Mafia” Among Big Banks
Lawyers representing traders who allege they were ripped off by a group of colluding global banks filed eye-popping evidence in a Manhattan Federal Court yesterday showing that even as global banks were being criminally probed for rigging currency markets, they continued to engage in rigging the silver market, with a UBS trader referring to the group as the “mafia.”
Funny, Im sure they will be fined millions.
You would think there would be times they stopped managing prices.
Now that I think about it, why should they be fined? Controlling the prices has always been legal.
Course if theyre fined it keeps the legality of it covered up.
The last line was funny: “We need a Justice Department that will grab the reins to restore trust, transparency and honest dealing in U.S. markets.”
Any trust that previously existed was misplaced and the appearance of transparency and honesty were an illusion of the deluded.
Well Corey might be time for you to average down on those UVXY shares.
The loonie is poking through the 89 day MA but is about to run into a little resistance…

For the first time in three months, we have a close above the 89 day MA.
Sorry Al, “Work together” sound a bit like hollow after 8 years of relentless obstruction by Republicans.
The Victory of ‘No’
The GOP’s unprecedented anti-Obama obstructionism was a remarkable success. And then it handed the party to Donald Trump.

Still an Obama fan, AJ?
Presiding over the bombing of seven countries isn’t enough to discredit him in your eyes? The NDAA that shreds our constitutional rights? Assassinating American citizens without due process? Fast and furious? Using the IRS for political ends? Obamacare instead of proper reform?
Hopefully Trump voters won’t give him the unconditional support that Obama voters gave their man.
GH, if Obama fans cared about facts, do you think they would have voted for him in the first place?
well said, AJ
Mr. Brodsky has some cautionary thoughts on today’s discussion: Somewhat similar to Cory and Chris. http://kingworldnews.com/paul-brodsky-just-exposed-why-gold-is-about-to-reverse/
not gonna matter gh, support or not, they gonna do what ever they want.
Well, clearly there’s a lot of truth to that. And I really haven’t seen any indication that Americans are capable of getting enough of a clue to change things. But despair is no fun and hope springs eternal.
Trump is surrounding himself with “hawks”.
Yep. Looks like he’s another trojan horse for Wall Street and the NeoCons/Zionists and their BS war on terror. I hope I’m wrong but his appointments speak loudly.
You’re not wrong. His personality speaks loudly too.
Every new administration in Washington begins with an atmosphere of good will. The hope here is that Trump will restore some of the government back to the people. He has shown that he will use The Presidency to help re-establish American business and I must say that although he isn’t in office yet so far so good. Unlike when Calvin Coolidge was President America was booming and old Cal had the right approach, leave well enough alone. I’m hoping once The US gets back on it’s feet that Trump will heed this message. DT
Nice sentiment GH. I agree wholeheartedly.
Trump will be running the government using Twitter. That might become a good investment. The stock is gaining strength and could spike much higher.
The first Twitter president.

Al is right. The Dems have become marginalized and practically the whole USA is run by Republicans. The Dems need to WAKE UP and see what has happened to their party and move closer the the center or they are DOOMED. And REPUDIATE their Leftist mindset.
But in the end, what are the chances we can get ourselves out from under $20,000,000,000,000 of debt? A Trump Presidency will help, but not enough. Our goose is COOKED!!

Turning Hard Times Into Good Times
Jay Taylor
I know people really dont like this, but how did germany go from bankrupt to the #1 power in 6 years?
Some people that understand interest on the printed currency know the answer.
Zero is going to change, its just smoke and mirrors.
The best that can be hoped for is they wait 8 years to continue.
Here is a thought, will someone ask Trump to repeal the ndaa? I doubt it.
A work permit or something along those lines is going to be required for agricultural workers.
If Trump sends back all those illegals, agriculture might be a good bet, of course alot of farms will go broke.
Maybe thats the idea.
