As in late August, I’m kicking myself for not pushing it harder. It fell back down after that. Might not this time. Will be important to see stocks and oil alike unequivocally carve out breaks above their respective trading range highs. Icahn may be the winner here getting a couple board seats, etc. and pushing the company perhaps to break up.

FOMC minutes released Thursday afternoon, lets remember the Sept 17th FOMC meeting was what started the rise off $1100 so a Dovish minutes release could be the fuel needed to close above $1147 and take on $1169…$1205….$1232

If we’re looking for black swans, there’s surely a big fat one there losing altitude pretty damn quickly. I know they’ve kept it together for the past 21 years but I wouldn’t assume they’re gonna make it fly for much longer… 2-3 years before default, new currency?
Worry more about China opening tonight after a week’s holiday.
