How can you not talk about the severity of the deficit and its impact on investing when our politicians don’t seem to want to do anything but push their own personal agendas?
In this show Al discusses:
- Segment 1 and Segment 2 – Sean Brodrick, of Weiss Research, weighs in first. Listen to what he has to say about gold and silver and the conventional markets.
- Segment 3 – Well-known financial technician and newsletter writer Rick Ackerman continues the discussion.
- Segment 5 – The Mercenary Geologist, Mickey Fulp, discusses the recent disconnect between commodity and share prices. This one makes sense.
- Segment 6 – Resource executive Randy Turner, gives a successful miner’s perspective on the strength of gold and silver.
- Segment 7 – Marshall Berol, co-portfolio manager of The Encompass Fund, tells listeners what he and his colleagues looks for when they consider investing in a mining company.
- Segment 8 – Given the celebration of Easter and Passover, Al and Peter Grandich discuss the importance of the goodness found in society. Think it doesn’t exist? Just listen.

Pet Peeve — people who believe that the Muslim population is a greater threat to humanity than the international banking cartel. By the way — I am a Christian.
Bentnail,
You have your right to say and speak your mind and to have pet peeves, that is
what was called for in the constitution.
If you are a Christian, as AM I,, you understand the difference.
What do they do to Christians in Iran? How about China?
I should not have gone down this path,, for discussion,,,but,
my main point was the constitution….and the chipping away,
for what the orginal thought and meaning of the constitution is and was.
Pointing out facts from fiction, is another issue.
We are in some of these political, social, and monitary issues, because
people do not understand or even read the constitution.
If you are an American…regardless of nationality,,read the constitution
and if you like having your God given rights taken away, that is your
choice, but, for me I think I will defend it.
Hi Jerry,
Me too, DEFINITELY.
Big Al
Jerry,
I agree wholeheartedly if you are referring to the chipping away of the constitution. Muslims being a bigger threat to the world than the international banking cartel — not a chance.
I have to agree with Bentnail. With his Patriot Act, Bush did far more to destroy our freedoms than any cave dweller half way around the world ever could.
Here’s a widely known quote that’s worth rereading:
“I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their money, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them, will deprive the people of their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs. ” Thomas Jefferson – letter to the Secretary of the Treasury Albert Gallatin (1802)
And this, from a banker:
“Banking was conceived in iniquity and born in sin. The Bankers own the earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create deposits, and with the flick of the pen they will create enough deposits to buy it back again. However, take away that power, and all the great fortunes like mine will disappear — as they ought to in order to make this a happier and better world to live in. But, if you wish to remain the slaves of Bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, then let them continue to create deposits.”
Sir Joshua Stamp (1880-1941), one time governor of the Bank of England, in his
Commencement Address at the University of Texas in 1927. Reportedly he was the
second wealthiest individual in Britain.
Bentnail,
I want to be very clear on this issue,,,,
I NEVER SAID THAT MUSLIMS ARE A BIGGER THREAT..THAN THE INT. BANKING CARTEL.
that was your pet peeve.
MY comments revolve around the constitutional issue of an individual that so far
has not produced a correct or actual birth certificate proving he is legally able to hold the highest job in the nation..
You guys do have to admit that the “radicals” are a bit more overtly violent. (Notice I said overtly!)
Big Al
Jerry:
My apologies — I falsely assumed that that was what you were implying.
Al:
I agree — the “radicals” ARE a bit more overtly violent. I just don’t believe that there are as many of them as the mainstream media / our pastors would have us believe. That said, I am convinced that there most certainly are some nutcases out there that are bound and determined to spread Islam (no matter what it costs).
NB: I work with many Muslims in my line of work and they are very nice people (without exception) – at least that has been my experience over the years. But this does not mean that there are not some lunatics out there — there most certainly are (just like there are some nutty Christians, Jews, Mormons, Satanists, New Agers, etc.). We must not make the mistake of tossing everyone into the same pot (which I DO NOT believe that you, or anyone on this site is doing).
P. S.
If you are ever in Calgary, we can hook up for wine / tea also. It would be fun to pick your brain (at least until the third bottle of wine is gone). I drink coffee (lol).
HI Jerry,
I agree with you.
I find it difficult to believe that the Republicans would have let the issue of President Obama’s U.S. citizenship go if there was even the slightest possibility that he was not a citizen.
Please get back to me on this one.
Big Al
Al,
That’s a nice thought, but the reality of the Republican Party is they will not always speak the truth for fear of being called Racist by Left Wingers.
The fact is, there is something on the birth certificate that will have a severe effect on Obama’s electability. Initially, I thought the father might not be who they say he is or Obama was declared a muslim at birth, but now I’m starting to think his birth may have occurred elsewhere.
Of course the resolve would be for Obama to release his real birth certificate , the one signed by his mother, father and doctor. This would clear up any doubt very quickly, but Obama refuses, because he is hiding something very, very serious from the American people.
Good morning Superdobbs,
Interesting comment re: racism. Funny story, a very close friend of mine and I were talking literally seconds after the news announced that Mr. Obama was now President Obama. He asked me who I voted for and I answered, Ron Paul. His response was that the only reason that I didn’t vote for Obama was that I was a racist deep down inside. I explained to him that I did not believe that Mr. Obama was qualified, that I had read his book (The Audacity of Hope) and found it to be lightweight and that I didn’t see where his prior experience qualified him to be president. He would not let it go and I simply said Mike, I don’t agree with you.
I will say at this point that I think we all have to dig down deep inside and be willing to examine our motives not only on this issue but on all issues. That is only being honest.
As a general statement, I will say that I think that the degree of political correctness, or more accurately the degree of false political correctness, that we have is silly. Race, religion, sexual preferences, etc. should not be issues. But, by the same token, to not have voted for someone and then be accused of being a racist is also an ignorant statement.
False political correctness will not make our country a better place. Honesty, hard work and bringing back moral values will.
Best,
Big Al
Al should have his friend Jason Hommel on the show. A couple years ago, Jason wrote about this and raised some serious doubts about Obama’s legality even if he WAS born in the U.S.
As far as Al finding it “difficult to believe that…”, I would just point out that each party has violated the constitution equally over the last century.
I also found it disconcerting that Al is so happy to pay his income taxes, even likening them to country club fees. America, unlike a country club, is not supposed to have owners. No one should be forced to do anything. This is why a sales tax has never violated the constitution. One can choose not to buy an item if he/she would rather not pay the tax. Or, where possible, one might choose to satisfy their needs another way. Examples would include: growing your own food; building your own house or furniture; etc. For more than half of America’s history, revenue came from sales taxes and import duties. There is no reason this needed to change. Private enterprise can do anything the government does, better and cheaper. For that matter, the income tax does not go to infrastructure or services anyway, but is returned to the shareholders of the Federal Reserve.
When bad policies span generations and become incrementally worse, not only do people not notice, but they think it’s normal, reasonable, and fair. Then, when someone comes along with a contrary view he’s seen as “radical”.
“We shall have world government whether or not you like it . . . by conquest or consent.” James Warburg (Rothschild banking agent, financial adviser to President Franklin D. Roosevelt), 1950
“All truth passes through 3 phases: First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed, and Third, it is accepted as self-evident.” – Arthur Schopenhauer 1788-1860 – 19th century philosopher
Hi Matthew
Here is my comment about income taxes. (And, to liken them to country club dues is perhaps shortsighted on my part. I will admit that.)
The law today is that we have to pay a certain portion of our income to the “taxman”. If we, as a nation, want to change that let’s do it at the ballot box.
I am 100% for an informed discussion on this issue.
My point about the country club is that if we don’t want to play golf there we don’t have to. If we do, then we have to pay the club dues.
Jim Willie is not happy with the policies of our govt. so he moved to Costa Rica. Agree or disagree with Jim, he no longer is a part of our system. That was his choice.
Don’t get me wrong, I see all the faults (and all the benefits) of our govt. I am with Congressman Paul.
Best,
Big Al
Hi Al,
Thanks for your reply. I guess it always surprises me when someone is so positive and accepting of a policy that makes “bottom up” governance impossible, while assuring the “top down” rule of tyranny is a certainty. Also striking to me is that for the last century Americans have been terrified of communism while never recognizing the advancement of it from within. Indeed, much of the “prosperity” the people have enjoyed was due to the leveraging of tomorrow through deficit spending made possible by the existence of Marxist central banking and fiat money. All embraced by such “conservatives” as Nixon and the former democrat Reagan. How ironic. Apparently most Americans have no idea what communism is OR they’re fine with it when America does it.
REAL Republicans new what was happening:
“The Trilateral Commission is intended to be the vehicle for multinational consolidation of the commercial and banking interests by seizing control of the political government of the United States… They will rule the future.” Barry Goldwater, U.S. Senator, 1964
Al,
Go to World Net Daily..April 24,2011…..
posted Jan. 24,2011, by Jerome R. Corsi
“Hawaii official now swears, No Obama birth certificate.”
There are other post associated with this artical as well.
Pay attention to the “long form and the short form” of the certificates.
and the issue dates… The long form can not be found.,which is the one
the hospital uses to confirm birth..
Also, there is a new book that is being written concerning this entire issue
and was published Jan. 2011(I think) I will do some more follow up concerning
this ….since you requested such.
Respectfull,
Jerry
Hi Jerry,
Getting pretty friggin complicated isn’t it? Maybe a better word than complicated is “scary”. Wouldn’t it be interesting if someone could prove that Mr. Obama could not serve as the President.
Wow, would that turn the U.S. on its tail!
Big Al
TO ALL.
THE ISSUE OF THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE,,(APRIL 27), MAY BE SOLVED.
May be not,
APRIL 29….OBAMA’S stepsister, which is Indonesian,(by his stepfather, which is Indonesian) said , that Obama lived in Indonesia between the age of 6-10
and attended school in Indonesia,in order to attend school in Indonesia,
you have to be a citizen, which would mean OBAMA WAS A CITIZEN OF INDONESIA,(YOU CAN NOT HAVE DUE CITIZENSHIP IN INDONESIA,ACCORDING TO THE LAW AT THAT TIME.)
WHICH MEANS HE WOULD HAVE REMOUNCED HIS CITIZENSHIP in the USA ,VIA HIS MOTHER OR FATHER’S CONCENT.BY ADOPTION.
CHECK IT OUT FOR YOUR SELF…World Daily News…april 29,2011
Hey folks, we live in a republic. What the governmant wants is your vote( that is their power base) then they want your taxes( to pay the deficit interest, etc)..
And that is all they want from us. No lip..
Sad but probably true.
Big Al
Interesting, listening to you and Sean talk about the shadowy influences in the corridors of power made me start to think that you guys have been listening to Alan Watt. In case you haven’t, you can tune into his one hour talk on the Republic Broadcasting Network everyday at 8:00 PM EST.
Hi Joe,
Okay, I will listen to what Alan has to say.
Big Al
i listen to your show weekly and find it informative and useful of making decisions of investing. there is one thing you brought with peter which touched that we are forgetting hardships that other people face and do not appreciate what god has given us Life. always look at life in a positive way since the negative always brings people down.

Thanks,,,I just might take you up on that.
If you are ever in Charleston, SC. I’LL have you over
for tea. or wine…at your pleasure.
Jerry
Hi Jerry,
The little blond lady and I are toying with the idea of coming over to the Carolinas to play golf. I understand that Pinehurst is absolutely incredible.
Will keep you informed. As to tea or wine, your choice man.
Big Al
AL,
I was kind of joking about the tea..because the history of Charleston evolved around the English 1660 and the popularity of tea….
I do drink and enjoy wine.
Jerry
Hi Jerry,
We also drink and enjoy wine. (Of course, for the medicinal purposes!)
Big Al
Hi all,
Here is somethiing I picked up on Drudge on Saturday. Believe me, I am not pushing any particular “religious club” , I just thougth that these comments were interesting. What do you all think?
For the first time in the history of the papacy, Benedict XVI agreed to take part in a programme in which he took questions from ordinary Catholics.
More than 3,000 questions were submitted after the initiative was announced a month ago, of which seven were chosen and put to the 84-year-old pontiff.
One of the most moving was put by the parents of a 40 year old man who has suffered from multiple sclerosis since 1993 and has been in a vegetative state for the last two years.
Francesco and Maria Teresa Grillo asked Benedict whether the soul of their son Francesco remained within his body or was elsewhere given his degenerating mental state.
The Pope, speaking from his office in the Apostolic Palace in the Vatican, told them: “Certainly his soul is still present in his body.
“The situation is a little like a guitar which has had its strings broken and can no longer be played….the soul cannot be heard but it remains within.
“I’m also sure that this hidden soul can feel your love, even if it cannot understand the details, the words. But it feels the presence of love.”
The parents’ round-the-clock care for their son was “a testimony to faith in God, to respect for human life,” the Pope said.
He also answered a question from a seven-year-old Japanese girl who was caught up in the tsunami about why so many children had to suffer in natural calamities.
“I ask myself the same question,” he said. “We don’t have the answers, but we know that Jesus suffered as innocent children suffer.”
Benedict also responded to questions about the civil war in Ivory Coast, calling for greater dialogue between Islam and Christianity, and the dangers endured by Christians in Iraq.
The programme, In His Image, was recorded last week and will be aired on Italian state television at 1.10pm GMT.
It is expected to be rebroadcast by television networks around the world.
As Jerry said above, Have a happy Easter and a Blessed Passover to all.
Big Al
Big Al,
You had asked for our opinions … so here you go (buckle up). The portion of that article that jumped out at me was the following:
“Benedict also responded to questions about the civil war in Ivory Coast, calling for greater dialogue between Islam and Christianity, and the dangers endured by Christians in Iraq.”
WHY? Because according to bible prophecy, the end time world system will consist of a One World Government, Economy, and Religion. It is more than obvious that they are trying to usher in the global government and economy (that is as plain as day), but what about the global religion? I mean, how do you suppose they will pull that off? Well, first and foremost, they need to draw all of the Christian denominations together (eccumenism) under the leadership of the Vatican (they are working on this in a HUGE WAY as we speak. Next, they need to bridge the gap between “Christians”, Muslims, and Jews (this too is happening in a HUGE WAY as we speak). Next, they need to slip New Age doctrines into ALL three monotheistic faiths (this too is happening in a HUGE WAY as we speak – hence “Christian Yoga”). Next, they need to create the illusion that the problem to world peace is fundamentalist Christians, Jews, and Muslims (monotheists) — that is, anyone who believes that their doctrines are THE ONLY WAY (only the monotheistic faiths believe this) — thus, in order to usher in a global New Age Religion of “tolerance”, lukewarm Christians, Jews, and Muslims first need to be pulled into the fold of the global community (such as in the case of the Pope calling for more unity between Muslims and Christians) — those who do not go along with this system will be labeled “fundamentalists / extremists”. Next, once the forthcoming global war is waged and millions are killed as a result, who do you think will be blamed? Fundamentalist / Extremist Christians, Muslims, and Jews. The world will look on and beg for peace and for a destruction of “extreme” montheism. The end result is that the antichrist will come onto the scene offering peace for all who fall in line with the New Age Movement (the lie that there are MANY WAYS TO GOD) and destruction for all who do not fal in line. There you have it in a nutshell — pretty simple really!!! Of course, the bible prophesies ALL of this.
Good morning Bentnail,
You have some interesting thoughts.
Here are some of mine:
I believe that there are good people and bad people in this world. I also believe in people being able to believe whatever they want as long as they do not hurt anyone else with their actions.
If someone tells me that they think I am crazy because I follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, I don’t argue. I can’t change their mind so I just turn the other check. If, on the other hand, they take physical action against me, you can bet your bottom dollar that I will protect myself.
I attend a Catholic church, but there are certain teachings of the Church that I don’t necessarily believe in. One example would be the infallibility of the Pope. I don’t think that he has a direct line to God anymore than I do.
I think that most priests are interesting people. Do I go to church because of a particular priest? Of course not. I attend church because of my relationship with God.
Has the “management” of the Catholic Church made mistakes? Anyone who answers that question with a “no” is crazy and not thinking rationally.
Have other religious “clubs” made mistakes? Of course!
Are there good people and bad people in this world? Read the Bible (which I am sure you have) to get that answer.
Who is going to win where it really matters? (In Heaven) God will.
Gotta go as my family and I are on our way to Easter Mass.
Best and thanks for your thoughts,
Big Al
Big Al, great show this weekend.
Mr Brodrick has some thought provoking takes on issues.
When I was in an embryonic stage of my actviity in the church, I looked up to leaders and envied their status and wanted to be that cool. Now I realize how much they sacrifice and how hard they work. And I wonder if I would ever have the kind of character it takes even today to serve at that level. It truly is a sacrifice, much more than an honor.
Fascinating post, Bentnail.
If you havnt already, do an Internet search on Project Blue Beam and Denver International Airport:
$50, is just the first stop. There may be a short pullback, but it won’t be long lived. Good work with the interviews AL. Keep it up.
I think you’re right. The first correction of any size could come from the $64 area. This would likely be to retest the breakout from the old high of 1980 at $48-$50.
Hi again Matthew,
Trader Rog agrees with you.
Big Al
Hello SLA Silver Bug,
I did a Kitco audio and a Daily Editorial on this subject with James Turk.

Hi big Al. another great program. Interesting reading how other good patriots respond. Good to see your reading the Drudge Report !
All for now God bless you and yours and Happy Easter. Thanks again for the great broadcast. !
Happy Easter to Big Al and all of the KER listeners!
Hello Bentnail,
Like you, I have been studying the geo-political, economic, and religious events as they are happening, and trying to figure out where all the pieces of the puzzle should be fitted in. I think your “big picture” view of current events is correct, and I wouldn’t argue at all with the way you laid out the mechanisms and strategies being used to accomplish the goals of the glabalists; the gathering together of the economic, governmental, and spiritual world under one system. I know that for anyone new to these ideas, it may seem radical, threatening, and crazy. However, the more information and knowledge one gathers, and when viewed through the non-jaundiced lens of objectivity, any reasonable, thinking person, must, if intellectually honest, come away conlcuding that these events are clearly orchestrated and planned. Therefore, there must be a purpose and ultimate goal. Logic requires that one follows this line of thinking out to it’s reasonable end. If you haven’t already, you might want to get the books, “Hope of the Wicked” by Ted Flynn, or “How evil works” by David Kupelian. Can be purchased at World Net Daily. Excellent synopsis!
Blessings,
Dan
Hi Bentnail,
Just a quick follow up and an attempt at clarification of my thoughts and views regarding something you said. I should have read your blog again and made my comments a little more carefully. If I mischaracterize you in any way, I apologize in advance.
One place I would make a distinction from you would be in how I view the Roman Catholic Church system, ie. Vatican. Is it the great evil system that we need to villify and hate? Has Protestantism been perfect and always represented Jesus Christ completely right all the time? No. Has the RCC developed views that are inconsistent with a clear reading of the Bible? Yes. Has it been guilty of atrocities down through history? Yes. Will it, as a religious system. return to orthodoxy? I don’t know, but I pray so. I know that modern scholarship of the last 100 years has focused on the RCC as the place to watch. Many Western Prot.-Christians believe that the anti-Christ will in fact come out of the RCC. I do not believe this is correct. From my study of the current global state of affairs, and from my study of Eschatology, “End times”, I believe without any hesitation, that the anti-Christ will emerge from one of the Arab nations. Many American Protestants have taken a belligerant, and at times aggressive attitude toward Catholics. I’m not saying this reflects your attitude, Bentnail. While we, Protestants, do have significant and major differences in important Biblical areas, we need to keep the dialogue open, friendly, and honest. Even if we may feel that a particular belief system is anti-thetical to our orthodox Judeo-Christian beliefs, we should not treat them disrespectfully, or rudely, and I’m speaking generally here of course. Not suggesting that you feel this way at all, Bentnail. Protestants and Catholics do worship the Same God, unlike Islam. We are called to pray for all, and to love even those that may be our enemies. Many believe that Muslims are our enemies. I like to look at it this way. Islam, as a belief system, with its heretical teachings that fly in the face of the Bible, is something to hate, and aggressively fight against. I hate lies, falsehoods in any form, despotic and tyrannical regimes, and any belief system that seeks to subjugate, imprison, and impoverish God’s creation.(By the way, Freedom and Liberty, are distinctly God given and Biblical concepts). But when it comes to people, ie. Muslims or any other group; we must view them as people whom God loves and desires to save and free from that oppressive belief system. So, I need to see the Muslim people as people for whom Christ died and came to redeem, just as he did me, and to love them. That’s all for now.
Thanks one and all for reading and responding,
Best to you,
Dan
Dan:
Trust me … I do not get offended easily (so no worries).
Raised a Catholic, I am very familiar with the workings of the Catholic Church. That said, I am now non-denominational. Why the switch? Because through research, I came to realize that the Catholic Church (organization – not the followers of Roman Catholicism) is pagan to the bitter core and thus, no different than any other manmade religious institution. That is why you see repetitive prayer in Catholicism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, New Age Movement, ancient Egypt, ancient Assyria, ancient Babylon.
It is also why you see prayer beads in Catholicism, Islam, Hinduism, etc.
It is also why you see pilgrimages in Catholicism, Islam, Hinduism, etc.
It is also why you see prayer to / for the dead in Catholicism, Islam, Hinduism, etc.
It is also why you see “works based” doctrines in Catholicism, Islam, Hinduism, etc.
It is also why you see holy water (or a holy river / well) in Catholicism, Islam, Hinduism, etc.
It is also why you see prescribed fasts in Catholicism, Islam, Hinduism, etc.
It is also why you see a lowering of Jesus Christ in Catholicism, Islam, Hinduism, etc. – I say Catholicism ONLY BECAUSE they elevate Mary to a position of greater import (even though the bible specifically states that the ONLY mediator between God and man is the Lord Jesus Christ – not Mary, as the Catholic Church teaches).
It is also why you see statues or other objects of worship (ie. the Muslim Kaaba with the black stone that people kiss) in Catholicism, Islam, Hinduism, etc.
It is also why you see the “Queen of Heaven” in Catholicism, ancient Babylon, ancient Egypt, ancient Rome, etc.
It is also why you see pagan symbology in Catholicism, Islam, Hinduism, etc. (ie. in St. Peter’s square is an obelisk (Egyptian) — why? The Vatican museum has as it’s entrance a big pyramid — why? In the Vatican are the signs of the zodiac (astrology) — why?
It is also why you see “Catholic Saints” in Catholicism — you have a Saint of rain, a Saint of health, a Saint of Hemmorhoids (no kidding). This was also true in the pagan religions of old (albeit, they were called gods / goddesses. If the people wanted rain to pour down — they prayed to the God of rain.
Will Catholics go to heaven? Some surely will … some surely won’t. Will some non-denominational Christians go to heaven? Some surely will, some surely won’t. It all depends on whether or not they have repented of their sin, believe that Jesus Christ is the ONLY WAY to heaven (not through works lest no man boast), and turn from their sin — meaning, taking a 180 degree turn from their old life and no longer living as they used to live (to the best of their ability). Many will say to Him on that day, Lord Lord … but He will say, depart from Me, I never knew you. Many people believe that they are saved, but they go on living as they used to (there was never a true change in their heart). To these people (and I pray that I am not one of them), Jesus will say “Depart from Me.”
My beef is not against the Catholics — my beef is against the false religious system called Roman Catholicism which is trying to draw ALL “Christian” denominations to her … this is what we call “Mystery Babylon the Great” — when all of the false religions of the world join together in common bond (their ancient Babylonian beliefs / practices).
I hope that straightened up my view a bit — I apologize for any confusion (and I do not mean to offend anyone … just speaking absolute truth).
Bentnail
absolute truth……..is GRACE PLUS NOTHING,,,,
YOU got the WORKS correct…..but, you forgot GRACE…..
this is Paul’s message from Jesus to the GENTILES.
correction would be FAITH plus nothing
A simple reply may not be appropriate, but to me faith in God is simple.
The relationship is between a person and God. To Big Al, all the other trappings are irrelevant. Have you ever noticed how messed up things get when you put a group of people together? One has to be the leader, another has to contend to be the leader, another has to be in charge of something else and on and on and on. That is purely and simply not important to God. It is all about a person’s personal relationship with God. No more and no less.
Disagree with me or not, that is what I believe.
Best,
Big Al
Al:
You are getting there. There is only one party and that is the oligarchy party. Liberals/conservatives is a smoke screen for truth. You won’t get truth from Washington. You won’t get it from the two parties. Religion won’t be recognized by politicians nor should it be. Morality is the basis for political thought. Corruption is the result of the inability to handle moral thought. Those that seek office, do so for personal gain. Those that trust others to carry the sword are most often foolish. Those that trust shouldn’t. Those that trust should lead. Those that trust tell the truth and most often, can’t be elected. It is lies that set the standard. It is lies the people want to hear. It is lies that win the moment. It is those lies that end the vision.
howdy dglanzer, 10-4 on your comment, i am a thinking the democratic party and the republican party are the same. think the word PARTY is what they have been doing on my dime this last 40 years. Keep up the comments.

Happy Easter, Big Al.

Thank you very much for the book suggestions – will order them ASAP. I look forward to reading them.
AL:
I too believe that there are many good people, as well as many evil people on this planet (NB: I say “good” from a human perspective and not a Godly perspective since scripture tells us that no one is good as we are all tainted with sin). That said, I do not believe in the least bit that the so-called Islamic threat is as threatening as they (mainstream media / religious institutions) make it out to be. I sincerely believe that there is a concerted effort to make it appear as though the Islam is out to destroy mankind (much like they conned us with Y2K (global threat), H1N1 (global threat), Global warming (global threat), economic collapse (global threat), Sept. 11th (global threat), etc. etc. etc.. Here is my point: WW1 was the first (global threat – meaning that most of the nations were looking on to see how it would unfold … it had the world’s attention) … there was nothing like it again until WW2 (another global threat) … since then, there has not been a “global threat” that I can think of (Vietnam war was not global, Korean war was not global, etc.). However, since the year 2000 we have had global threat after global threat after global threat (Y2K, Sept. 11, Global Warming, Economy, H1N1, etc.). Are we to assume that this is a coincidence, or is it more logical to assume that there must be more to this story. I suggest that there is MUCH MORE to this story (the powers that be have reached that point in time where they are about to draw the entire world together under the control of the antichrist). How do they do that? By stripping us of national pride and replacing it with a global awareness — drawing people together as ONE big “happy” family…working together to solve all of the worlds woes. The mindset is now in place (“we have to think globally).
Take that a step further: what did it all accomplish:
Y2K — it prepared the computer grid of the world (all computers are now linked together flawlessly to pave the way for the global cashless system — not to mention the Big Brother tracking grid is now up and running perfectly).
Sept. 11 – paved the way for draconian laws, as well as the establishment of a global police / military force that is working alongside one another to fight “terrorism”. Intelligence agencies of the world now work together, the police work with the military, etc. etc. etc. (there is much more that sept. 11 accomplished, not the least of which is keeping the people of the world in fear (even though more people die annually from slipping in their bath tubs than from terror related events) – people who are afraid are like clay (their minds are easily moulded)
H1N1 – It shifted more power to the WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION (notice the world “world” as in it is the health center of the planet). Not only this, but it got people to fall into the vaccination lie (even though Bill Gates openly admits that they are being created to help decrease the world population)
Global Warming – this is a HUGE one — it is about getting a global tax in place to feed the United Nations (global governmental body), to control the resources of the world, and most importantly, to get people into the New Age mindset — “we must save mother earth … after all, the trees are god, the rocks are god, and oh yeah, YOU ARE GOD” It goes back to the initial lie that Lucifer told himself in heaven “I will be like God” … he passed that lie on to Adam and Eve – “eat of the Tree and you can be like God” … and now it is resurfacing in the New Age lie that the universe is God and since man is a part of the universe, then he too must must God (LIE LIE LIE).
Economy: Draw us into a one world cashless system
All that you see going on is STAGED — every last bit of it. Satan’s minions are hard at work trying to usher in his global kingdom that will be diametrically opposed to the God of Christianity. It is not a coincidence that every religion known to man is based on works (what man can do to earn his way into heaven — do more prayers, do more good deeds, etc) — that is, they are MAN-CENTERED … the only religion that stands outside of this is Christianity which is GOD-CENTERED and is focused solely on what HE DID FOR US — not the other way around.
Any way, I could go on and on and on and on — all that I know with 100% certainty is that Jesus Christ is Lord of lords and King of kings and that He will return in the not so distant future to judge the living and the dead. But before that happens, I believe that the devil and his minions are going to set the stage to make it appear as though the next “global threat” is Islam and that the world should be VERY AFRAID. Why Islam? Because, it is one of the three monotheistic faiths that need to be eliminated from the equation to usher in the New Age religion of “tolerance”. Watch for it — you will begin to see more and more talk on the media in the days to come about “Christian fundamentalists” as well. Who are the “extremist” and “fundamentalists”? Those who do not go along with the New Age religion of “tolerance”. Funny how they twist the meaning on its head — they call Christians intolerant and yet they are the once that are going to persecute the Christians for being “intolerant” — hmm … funny how that works.
Bentnail, you are one hell of an interesting guy. Explain to me, if you will, why Judism is not God centered. Like you, I am a Christian. I believe that Christianity is definitely God-Centered. But, isn’t Judism also God centered? Now I know that an obvious answer to my statement is that Jews only believe in God the Father and not God the Son. Well, that is not what I believe. My concept of God is larger, believing in the Trinity. But to say that the Jewish faith is not God-Centered is hard for me to understand.
I would like to hear that explanation.

I listened to Bill Haynes and Dan Norcini on King World News weekly metals wrap this weekend 23 April 2010.
Bill Haynes said the market is getting a little frothy looking at the trading at his shop. Also, for every $ invested into gold, $2.50 going into silver at CMI Gold and Silver. He said silver may pop to $50 and then a correction possible.
Dan Norcini mentioned Asian market silver $46.80 gold $1513 Fri morning
Gold up nicely but angle on silver is very steep – many waiting for correction not one yet – may drop hard.
Eric King mentioned gold +$18 silver +$3.48 for the week. So the ratio of the move was 5.172:1 on gold:silver in $. That’s 1.2% in gold and 7.4% in silver. That has silver moving 6.25 times as fast as gold over that week!
Compare that to 2 weeks previously: 9th April 2011, gold +$45 silver +$2.87, $ ratio 15.67:1 in $ terms (cf Isaac Newton historic gold:silver ratio) prices were $1475 Au and $42.26 Ag, so silver moved about 2.3x as fast as gold in % terms. So it’s gone to an extreme this week ending 23 April.
Maybe we are in for a sharp correction… Well we got one, silver down $3 on Easter Monday, gold down about $15; gold down only $5 for each $1 in silver ,so the leverage worked the other way! Silver down 3/49.5=6% and gold down 15/1500 = 1%.
No wonder many of the gold stocks have been lagging a bit. Maybe people might have been buying silver to get 2x to 6x leverage to gold!
I also wonder if the stocks lagging the metals is a kind of backwardation – i.e. people have been buying the metals for delivery now, rather than buying metals in the ground that cannot be delivered yet./-
I found some interesting articles on the Silver Leverage Indicator (SLI) by Roland Watson, which would probably be analogous to the RSI on the silver:gold ratio as used by technical analyst Ross Clark, as silver rises much faster than gold, both the SLI and Ross’ RSI would go into high territory. A high SLI according to Ronald Watson happens near a top, like 1980, 1998 and 2004 for instance.
There is a downward movement as I write this. (7p.m. pacific daylight time.)
Interesting after the early significant upward movement.

Just wonder if you could clarify two thoughts one in Seg 4 the other on Seg 6 which seemed to be contradictory. In Seg 4 you stated that there was better than a 50% that austerity measures would be put in place and that would happen before the next election and this would cause a PM sell off. Conversely you agreed with the guest in Seg 6 that gold/silver had at least 18 months to run.
Could you please clarify exactly where it is you are standing as these two ideas contradict each other and confuse the issue somewhat as to where gold/silver are heading in your opinions.
Thanks
Yep, to clarify.
I believe that the only cause for demand for precious metals to decrease would be if people became convinced that financial chaos was not just around the corner.
I maintain that if Obama wants to get re-elected he will have to move much more to the center. To prove he is doing this, he and his people will have to bring a lot of the Republican ideas to reality. Financial austarity is first and foremost among the Republican ideas along with continuing the Bush tax cuts, blah, blah and more blah.
Along the lines of the austarity, he would have to back down on his medical proposals.
If he wants to stand a snowballs chance in you know where of getting re-elected, this is what he has to do. I mean common, even the IMF is on record as saying the policies of the U.S. are detrimental to the rest of the world. You think he doesn’t need to change that perception.
Okay, now I said that there was a 50% chance (in my mind) that he would try to do something like this.
Will he succeed? Let’s go back to that snowball’s chance.
Let’s go back to the 18 month period comment by me. That is the absolute minimum time frame for this to happen and for the demand for our sector of the financial market to go down.
Whew, does that make sense? Hope I made my thoughts clear.

Thanks for the response Al
I guess it’s hard to keep the continuity of ideas throughout the show together over the two hours. I listen to your show online and it’s quite easy to pick-up any discrepancies. Not a criticism just an observation.
To that end would like to request if you could expand on the idea, in your next show, of what will happen to precious metals should this play out ie O’bama introduces austerity. Will we see a correction, will there be a bear market in PM, or will inflation pick up as people feel that all will be well as you alluded to as the stock market goes for a run.
Appreciate your time.
Consider it done. Listen this Saturday.

Bentnail,
Good response, and I read carefully. I’m in complete agreement with you. Well said, and it’s great to know someone else thinks the way I do. To GOD alone, be the Glory!! HE is Risen!!!
dglanzer: agree with you too. good post.
Al: Great show as always!
Silverbug: I too caught the King World News weekly metals wrap. Good stuff and very interesting as you noted. Thanks for the tip. Everyone should add Kingworldnews.com to their weekly listening, AFTER…. listening to Kereport.com, of course!!!
Keep the life jackets close.

andrew | April 22, 2010 at 12:11 am | The slow performance coiypng out of the video tag is likely because the video is in the YUV color space, coiypng it to a Canvas will require converting it to the RGB color space (Every pixel needs to be converted individually which is, of course, murder on the CPU. It can be sped up but will require SSE/Neon/Altivec/etc optimisations but only if the blocks being copied are big enough; I’m betting most browsers don’t have those anyway). Rendering directly to a canvas means you get a bulk-transfer-bonus by doing the conversion all at once rather than piecemeal, same optimisation requirement applies though.getPixel/setPixel are generally a bad idea for the same reason that accessing random cells out of order in an array is a bad idea, modern CPUs are designed to operate in bulk modes — do large chunks of repetitious work on a slab of memory. Peeling individual pixels apart rather than grinding the lot as a whole will be massively slower. (There may also be GPU bus overhead with pixels flying back and forth between the video card memory and the CPU which is extra-super-slow)BTW. I just had a horrible idea of an SVG+JavaScript with embedded HTML5 video tags as some sort of movie palette that zooms in and out on each individual clip when clicked (with grey out and enabling sound on the selected only). I suspect you could probably lock the entire browser UI with something like that.

I agree with SEAN on….Shadow govt…but, I have
issue of the birth-ers(birth certificate), this is a constitutional issue,
this would and will just keep breaking down the constitution, allowing
the individual not needing to be born AMERICAN, AND A CITIZEN .
What if this guy was Chinese and born in China? are we going to
be a potentenal slave to other nations other than monetary…How about a IRANIAN born , Shitite, Sunni,,I do not want to be living under Surria Law…
So, I DO believe the birth certificate issue is extremely important.
The only thing Americans have left is the constitution,,,
I like SEAN , and submit this with respect.
