Can’t the exact same be said for mining? IE: if you know how to invest you’ll do well? I’ve profited handsomely over the last year having invested in SVL and RMC.
yes b.c is mining friendly but the ndp will win the election in may. then what? everything is is so uncertian.
big al. can you interview bob quartermain at some piont. sincerely raymondo
Good idea raymondo.
It would be interesting to hear how Pretium is progressing.
According to GAO, Obama’s budget introduced today would balance the budget by 2055.
Really?
The Gold Report Interview with Matt Badiali (4/8/13) “Bob Quartermain’s company, Pretium Resources Inc., has a great discovery in British Columbia. It has gold intersections in its drill holes on the order of 1 kilogram per ton. It is a fantastic deposit run by one of the most successful explorers out there. And the share price fell 57%. . .Buy management. Look for serially successful entrepreneurs. We use Pretium’s Bob Quartermain as our example there.”
Al,
I honestly think, now is the time to forget the resource/mining business altogether and focus on Biotech or Healthcare stocks. These two sectors are seeing explosive growth and affects millions of people on daily basis. In a sense, a small baby biotech is just like a junior miner as of speculative investment – find an unmet medical need, start a program to develop a compound and lead it through the FDA approval process. If approved then sell the drug to a large pharma. The volatility in biotech sector is mindboggling which is great if you know how to invest and ride the wave.
Miners, on the other hand, are gone for now…or forever.
Happy investing.
