Recently Laura introduced us  to Gary Savage who writes a newsletter called Smart Money Tracker.

I spent some time talking with Gary  and I find him to be an interesting guy and I now read his  newsletter. I find it to be a good one.

Thanks CFS for drawing attention to that superb Casey seminar. I love where he’s coming from on so many fronts – can’t fault him. A shame he’s an atheist however (give me agnostics any day!), and of course he can literally speak of the world as his oyster, flying off to wheresoever takes his fancy.

And that for me is where the God bit comes in. For most of us we can’t just shilly-shally off to wherever looks safest. Of course we should make what plans one can for the ‘Greater Depression’. But for myself I love knowing that ‘God’ will also fight my corner, come that day of reckoning, without me having to feverishly take refuge in my own strategies . For the ego is also at odds with God.

Plan, yes as far as we’re able to. Be under no illusions whatsoever as to the bad things in store. But as that interesting guy Leslie Weatherhead once said ‘ Hold to Christ and for the rest be wholly uncommitted’!

Precious metals for me notwithstanding, the above mantra remains sacrosanct!

      Kind Regards,

      Andrew

A lot of guys are riding on Jim Roger’s coat-tails. I believe the 17 year bull market in commodities is the minimum time frame. Back in the old days I used to be able to email Jim directly and have and instant reply. Yes, those were the days when CNBC or was it FNN back then, used Jim for comic relief.

Historically you don’t see a major market correction until the P&E for the S&P eclipses 20. Right now it’s sitting at around 18.
