Tara Christie, President and CEO of Banyan Gold (TSX.V:BYN – OTCQB:BYAGF) joins me to discuss the ongoing and planned drill program at the AurMac Gold Project, totalling 20,000 meters this year, as well as early exploration work at the Nitra Project. Both Projects are in the Yukon. We also discuss how the forest fires in the area and recent Victoria Gold mine issues could impact the Company’s future work plans.
We start with the company’s ongoing 20,000-meter drilling program, with an initial 5,000 meters focused on confirming the geological model and higher-grade starter pit areas at the Powerline Deposit. Tara also talks about the company’s efforts in developing a 3D geophysical model, advancing metallurgy, and engaging in community and environmental baseline programs all to move forward with a Preliminary Economic Study (“PEA”).
I then have Tara provide a background on the Nitra Project, approximately 10km west of AurMac, where Banyan Gold is planning on doing some early stage exploration work this year.
Additionally, we touch on the impact of local forest fires, the Victoria Gold issues, and the strategic plans for the company moving forward, including a recent $14.3million financing.
