So far this month Defense Metals (“Defense Metals” or the “Company”) (TSX.V:DEFN – OTCQB:DFMTF – FSE:35D) has announced a “groundbreaking partnership” with the McLeod Lake Indian Band as well as shipping mixed rare earth carbonate samples from the Company’s Wicheeda REE Project to Ucore Rare Metals Commercialization and Demonstration Facility in Ontario.
Craig Taylor, CEO of Defense Metals joins me to recap both developments for the Company. We start with the partnership with the McLeod Lake Indian Band discussing how the partnership will help with marketing the project, permitting and the potential of utilizing the proposed hydrogen plant. The McLeod Lake Indian Band also invested in Defense Metals for 2.6million shares.
On the other news of shipping the mixed rare earth sample to UCore we discuss how Ucore will test the sample in its pilot plant in Kingston Ontario. The Company has shipped samples to other large processing companies around the world but this is the first company that Defense Metals could announce publicly.
