Aclara Resources – Maiden Rare Earth Resource At Carina Module In Brazil; Unique Processing Technique Now With A Resource Base
Francois Motte, CFO of Aclara Resources (TSX:ARA) (“Acrala” or the “Company”) joins us to recap the December 12th news release reporting the maiden Resource Estimate at the Company’s Carina Module in Goias, Brazil. The Company is focused on Ionic Clay (a heavy rare earth) and has a unique processing technique.
After our last interview on October 27th, Francois outlined the Company’s shift in strategy toward exploration in Brazil and a permitting focus in Chile (at the Penco Module). Now, we already have a Resource Estimate from the Carina Module in Brazil and an upcoming Preliminary Economic Assessment (“PEA”) in January 2024, as well as more drilling to expand on the Resource.
I have Francois provide an overview of the inferred Resource which was reported to contain 168 Mt with a grade of 1,510 ppm total rare earth oxide (“TREO”) and 477 ppm desorbable rare earth oxide (“DREO”1). We also discuss the average net smelter return values as a guild to potential economics of the asset. I ask about permitting in Brazil and how the Company will be testing the material in its pilot plant. We also address a question that was sent in last interview asking whether the technology or the projects/resources are the main catalysts for the Company.
Please email me with any further questions you have for Francois. My email address is Fleck@kereport.com.
