Matt Badiali – A Focus On Uranium; It’s A bull Market But Where Should Investors Be Looking
Matt Badiali, Editor of the New Energy Investor published under the Mangrove Investor, joins us to discuss the investment angle for the uranium sector. We start with the strong performance of the major companies and how he views the juniors, that have not taken off like the majors.
We discuss the supply and demand metrics that should help to continue to drive the uranium price. The demand side is all about current reactor and new builds, which have been steadily increasing now that governments are more supportive of nuclear power.
In terms of stocks we ask about NexGen Energy (NXE) and what he seems coming out of its advanced Project. With regards to the junior stocks we focus on the Athabasca Basin in Saskatchewan and insitu mining projects in the US.
- In full disclosure, Shad is a shareholder of NexGen Energy at the time of this recording

Think of Vincent van Gogh the guy was a genius but a loser in life. If his brother hadn’t promoted his art, he would have been lost in the shuffle. Promotion is king if you want to make it in any endeavor in this World. DT
Hi DT. Yes, I’ve tried reaching out to get them on the show in the past for an investor update, but didn’t get any response back from them. I’m invested with Santacruz as well and would enjoy having them on the show as well. SCZ did one of the more interesting acquisitions of multiple mines and processing centers in the Silver sector that we’ve seen the last few years from Glencore, and it would be nice to get an update on how their team is addressing growing production and containing costs at all the new mines in Bolivia, in addition to the success and challenges they’ve had at the Mexican Zimapan mine. I’ll keep touching base periodically to see if they engage back with me.

Bayraktar said senior officials from the Chinese government visited eastern Thrace and saw the sites where the construction is planned. “We came to a very important point that we need to finalise [the deal] in a few months,” Bayraktar said.

Uranium Market Minute – Episode 204: Inflection Point
Justin Huhn – Uranium Insider – Sep 7, 2023
He mentioned Valore and the Angilak property. I thought they sold it to Labrador?
Santacruz was up .005 today, let the banners fly and the bells ring out! This is one stock I continue to hold but it is so disappointing, it’s a good thing I trade in and out of many other stocks. I only hold it because it makes me mad that it hasn’t performed period. Someday all will be well with Santa.
Ex, have you tried to get their management on for an interview, I know these guys will say they are too busy, but you must remind them that promotion is a much more important game to a stock price than they realize. When the market turns the stocks that will outperform are the ones that deliver the goods and promote themselves. Public relations are cheap, but it can count for more towards their stock price than all the build out at their mines. DT
