Weekend Show – US Market Outlook and A Focus On Critical Minerals
Welcome to the Weekend Edition of The KE Report. On this Weekend Edition we focus on the continued strength of US equity markets and on the critical minerals narrative.
Please keep in touch by emailing us with your thoughts on our guests and anyone you would like to see us feature. Our email addresses are Fleck@kereport.com and Shad@kereport.com.
- Segment 1 and 2 – Mike Larson, Editor-in-Chief at the MoneyShow kicks off the show by discussing if US markets are overheated. It’s been a strong rebound after the almost 1 year bear market but the question remains; is this a bear market rally or a new bull market?
- Segment 3 and 4 – Jeff Christian, Managing Partner at the CPM Group wraps up the show with a focus on critical metals. We discuss the key factors driving demand as well as how demand is constantly changing for certain metals especially through innovation.
Good show….I personally see evidence that the SPX could have the intermediate correction here and now….It could be serious …Say 15 to 20% are support target levels….The low will show up Sept/Oct by intermediate time length norms…Also the big 7 shares on nasdaq are showing topping action…..I am concerned….A bit more than the guests, so far…..
The equity sell off will impact all shares initially imho….I hope for the wisdom to see this next GDX low….It is currently retesting the bounce off the recent low w real big volume contraction…So it looks real classic imho…..We want the general equities to correct and still see gdx type shares get a bid and make new highs based on gold etc.rallying…..glta
This will be a difficult buy for me in the miners, due to conflicts….the FED could even trigger the rally next wednsday….
Hi Jerry:
This article came out today on 321gold.com, I didn’t want you to miss it, so I am posting a link. “Why The Dollar is Finished”, and the clear benefits of a gold backed currency. In my opinion it is a must read! DT
https://www.goldmoney.com/research/why-the-dollar-is-finished

And….have a supply of junk silver coins just in case.
Just a note…………….. You better establish Who you will be trading with…. there are a lot of stupid sheeple would rather have a candy bar than a bar of silver…..
Even the coins shop owners have a lot to be desired….
I deal with a lot of them monthly…. and have for years….
Just saying establish now, who you will be dealing with……if, you can,
going forward…. not everything is going to be simple , just because some think they have
some junk silver…… but, I agree that you need to have a little of the junk, just in case.
Thanks…….DT……………………
Great article….. as always……… JtheLong agrees….. 🙂

HEY DT……………… here is one for you……….. Rick Rule on the DOLLAR…..
Hi Jerry, We will have to wait until August 20 to 24th in Johannesburg to see what The Bric’s have decided upon as their challenge to the US dollar. It must have a gold backing mechanism for it to be taken seriously.
It has been all too easy for The US to indulge in all manner of dubious financial practices with no conscience as long as they held The World’s Reserve Currency status. They have had no competition and they have misused that trust.
Rick Rule is a smart guy, but this is a different situation, it is no longer about who is the best of a terrible lot of dishonest currencies backed by nothing but a printing press and a mandate to counterfeit money. The Chinese and Russians have been covertly working on replacing The US dollar for many years so expect to be surprised. DT
Hello DT,
Thanks for reading my post.
I would have to agree with you on the out come of the dollar.
The only consideration , that I have read that makes a difference,
and I think Rickards, posted it,… is the treasuries bonds,
here is the copy……….

larry……… article is about the same,…. except …
Concerning China, …not being able to be the “reserve” currency alone… why… no liquid bond market.
There is also no significant yuan-denominated bond market, so there’s nothing to invest in. You can’t have a reserve currency without a huge, liquid bond market. Only the U.S. Treasury market and, to a lesser extent, the bond markets of Japan, Germany and Italy qualify. There will be no Chinese reserve currency with or without gold.
……. LIQUID BOND MARKET…. is the point…
Hi Jerry:
I agree with your post The US dollar will continue to be The Worlds Reserve Currency for some time but you know how The Chinese operate, one step at a time until they are dominant and then they don’t let go. DT
America has forgotten how to be proactive and react to this shot across their bow from The Bric’s. That is deadly in a digital age where time travels much faster, the alternative is here and it is not great for The Western World. The worst part is being on top and not seeing what the other side has planned for you because they have lived the alternative. The Bond Market only works until it doesn’t anymore, and if it crashes, The Chinese will have a plan but will The Americans. DT
DT….. posted a reply below….
And I agree with you on ………
“The Bond Market only works until it doesn’t anymore, and if it crashes, The Chinese will have a plan “
Stock market bullish sentiment screams danger along with the obvious technical picture.

Thursday’s high for IPT came on the best volume in 3 months while Friday’s pullback (bullishly) came on less than one-tenth the volume.

Yes I noticed those contrasting volumes on those two days.
I haven’t sold a single share despite multiple purchases near the low and won’t be selling anytime soon (fwiw).
IPT is ahead of the pack with respect to its weekly MACD and TSI (True Strength Indicator). It is on new buy signals while gold, silver and their mining ETFs as well as quality players like HL, FNV, and PAAS still are not…

Finally, somebody calls out Jim Rickards and others like him that King World News features daily. He’s continually talking up his background (CIA, Defense Dept., etc.) and selling a new book. Problem is none of his forecasts ever really happen so he moves on to something else.

BBB jumped to its best weekly close since January in the last 10 minutes of trading yesterday which might’ve been due to the words of Crescat Capital’s Geologic and Technical Director Quinton Hennigh, PhD in yesterday’s episode of Crescat Gets Activist on Gold & Silver. Quinton explained why he thinks Brixton has two world class discoveries and is very cheap.

I’ve continued to buy more lately and last did so on Thursday.
https://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=BBB.V&p=W&yr=3&mn=7&dy=0&id=p01371837049&a=1461537563
Yes… QH started talking Core first and by the time he followed with BBB there was only about 10 minutes or so left when the markets were going to close. I tried to make a quick flip of something into a small add to BBB but they didn’t like my Ask so I aborted. QH then did some more upbeat talking on Snowline into the close. Snowline is a little tougher to add to due to price … but price still low. QH and Crescat have some things going on.
I wonder about the presence of BHP limiting the upside of BBB….buying the whole company before a multi bagger happens.
I think the CEO has at least 5 million shares so he’s aligned with shareholders which include Sprott, Friedland, Holmes and of course Crescat. It’s here nor there but total volume for the week or the week before didn’t come close to matching even my position.
At some point I do think BHP could limit our upside but price will probably easily be at least 5 to 10 times higher by then and I bet Gary Thompson (CEO) would see to it that we hang onto everything but the copper project that BHP is interested in.
Price movement of BBB reminds me of Stillwater Critical. There is something strange about the lack of movement.
With BBB I think a lot of investors have trouble with the number of well-endowed projects and it baffles their brains. Most investors get confused if they have one or two stocks because they do no Due Diligence. DT
Quinton said BBB is one the cheapest stocks he knows, and next week he will have exciting things to say about GOT and ESK. Keep the faith.
QH also mentioned he will a cover a surprise miner that wasn’t on the list he originally was going to visit.
I’m guessing the mystery company QH will discuss next Fri is Juggernut.
Way before Crescat owned a single share I told Glenfidish that Brixton’s Thorn property has plenty of treasure so it’s nice that Quinton confidently and enthusiastically agrees.
There’s more than 2 months left in this quarter but I bet it will deliver a huge breakout for silver relative to this fork which is based on the 1980 high, the 1991 low and the 2011 high:
https://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=%24SILVER&p=Q&yr=50&mn=11&dy=0&id=p52842905069&a=714975649&r=1690054381968&cmd=print
Notice that based on the quarterly high closes of 2011 and 2012 silver broke out in Q3 2020 and has been bullishly consolidating since. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if we see $35 this year.
Bubba Horwitz is also expecting silver at $30-35 by the end of this year
Thanks. Bubba knows what’s up.

DT………..” but you know how The Chinese operate, ….”
I have been saying for over a decade….. You can not trust the Chinese …Period….
I have had my share of dealings …. and never turns out in your favor…. different mind set….
(this should have been pasted above….sorry)
The Americans in the 1920’s taught the rest of The World that if you want to dominate others financial penetration is the most effective means not the military. America has lost its way, but the lesson remains the same. DT
DT…… America has lost it’s way……. no doubt about that…
and a lot do not have a clue…..
The regressive “progressives” brought us Marxist central banking yet insist that they are against slavery. A moronic populace always begets moronic leadership or worse.
