Ed Moya – China’s Weak Economic Recovery, US Inflation Data and Earnings Season Starting With A Focus On The Big Banks

Ed Moya, Senior Market Analyst at OANDA joins us to recap China’s weak inflation data, released over the weekend, and look ahead to the US CPI data on Wednesday and the start of earnings season kicking off with the big banks. 

 

The theme of higher for longer, for inflation and rates, continues to be driven home by Fed speakers. Ed shares what to expect in the upcoming CPI number compared to the weak PPI and CPI data out of China.

 

On the earnings front, a focus on the big banks who kick off earnings. Loan losses and loan demand will be critical for investors looking forward to balance the recession calls for the second half of the year.
