Aurion Resources-B2Gold JV Confirms Depth Extensions at Helmi And Intersects Near-Surface Gold at Sinermä Prospect
Matti Talikka, CEO of Aurion Resources (TSX.V:AU – OTCQX:AIRRF), joins us to for an exploration update from depth at the Helmi Project and near-surface gold at the Sinermä Prospect on the Aurion-B2Gold Joint-Venture, along the Central Lapland Greenstone Belt in northern Finland.
We start off reviewing assays announced from the winter drill program, on both May 8th and May 10th, from the Aurion-B2Gold Joint-Venture. The exploration team continues to have a very high success rate with drill hits at Helmi Discovery, now confirming mineralization at depth with drill hole # IKK22043 intersecting 1.07 g/t Au over 57.30 meters from 360.80 meters in depth, and part of longer intercept of mineralization. Additional step-out drill holes were also returned from along the Helmi-Kutuvuoma Trend, showing further gold mineralized intervals along strike.
We also have Matti break down the ongoing scout and step-out drilling at multiple targets across the 100% owned Risiti property, testing for extensions of gold mineralization at the Kaares Area, and new zone of gold mineralization at the Kaaresselkä Prospect, with the full drill hole # KS22027, extending previously announced partial results to 2.41 g/t Au over 56.55 meters (press release dated February 21, 2023).

I am not at all worried about my investment in Santacruz, just a little bit disappointed but I’m sure they are headed much higher in the future. I guess I will have to go down to the beach and look at the girls’ tanned backs while I am waiting for SCZ to jettison their cement water ski’s. LOL! DT

Yeah, medium to longer-term, I’m interested to see where Santacruz may go, and if it continues to be under pressure, then I may add a little more to my current position.

Aurion JV Drilling Update – Sinermä

“Aurion’s CEO, Matti Talikka, provides a brief update on drilling on the Sinermä target on its JV properties with B2Gold. The Company reported results from 16 scout holes (2,192m) drilled at the target area, as part of the winter 2022/23 drill program. Drilling was intended to follow up on early exploration work done in late 2020 (see news release from January 13, 2021).”
“Sinermä is located approximately 29km WNW of the JV’s Helmi discovery and 23km SSE of Agnico Eagle’s Kittila mine. Drilling intersected wide zones of shallow gold mineralization over 450m of strike length, making for a sizeable footprint. Mineralization is open in all directions.”
