John Miniotis, President and CEO of AbraSilver Resource Corp (TSX.V:ABRA – OTC:ABBRF), joins us to outline continued high-grade silver drill hits over wide intercepts from the JAC Target at the Diablillos Project in Argentina.
Yesterday, on March 29th exploration news was released where drill hole# DDH 23-010intersected numerous zones of silver mineralization in oxides, including 45.5 metres at 233 g/t Ag and drill hole# DDH 23-007 returned very high-grade silver mineralization in oxides, with 2,320 g/t Ag over 4.0 meters. This high-grade interval demonstrates that there are zones within the JAC system that will raise the overall grade of the mineral resource.
John outlines why the exploration team is so encouraged by the continued Phase 3 program drill success at this JAC Zone, with 16,000 meters and 74 holes drilled to date, but only 38 holes have been released to the market thus far. There are plans for another 6,000 meters for Phase 3 taking the total up to around 22,000 meters by mid-year, and then all results going into a maiden resource on this JAC target area in September, followed by incorporating other metallurgical work, environmental and permitting work, and other derisking work going on into a Preliminary Feasibility Study by year end.
We also discussed the potential in Phase 4 to drill at depth testing some of the copper targets under the JAC and Occulto deposits, as well as the long hole drilling underway at a second project, La Coipita, testing for a potential high-grade porphyry system.
