Akiba Leisman, President and CEO of Mako Mining (TSX.V:MKO – OTCQX:MAKOF), joins us for an exploration update on the extensive land concessions around the producing San Albino Gold Mine in northern Nicaragua. We start off with a review of the recent high grade drill hits returned back from the Las Conchitas project from all 3 areas in the North, Central, and South. These drill results also included the discovery of a new gold bearing vein at Las Conchitas North at the “Crucita” structure located approximately 1.44 kilometers south of the San Albino gold mine, intersecting 37.28 g/t of Au and 34.94 g/t of Ag over 2.5 m (Estimated True Width).
The Company currently has five of its seven diamond drill rigs in the Las Conchitas area, which is located between the San Albino Mine and the historical El Golfo Mine located within the Company’s El Jicaro Concession. There are also still 2 drill rigs operating near the San Albino Mine. We wrap up having Akiba expand on some of the other regional targets like La Segoviana and Porta Rios, with more drilling scheduled there for later in the year after the rainy season.
If you have any questions for Akiba about Mako Mining, then please email us at either Fleck@kereport.com or Shad@kerport.com.
