Metallic Minerals – Exploration Update On All 3 Company Projects

Scott Petsel, President of Metallic Minerals (TSX.V:MMG – OTCQB:MMNGF), joins us to discuss the larger corporate vision and exploration update on their 3 key projects.  We start off by reviewing Scott’s background in the mining industry, alongside Greg Johnson, in prior companies and projects, most recently coming over to Metallic Minerals in 2016 initially as the VP of Exploration.    Scott sees the growth in the Company as evident by the shift from early-stage exploration on their projects into more expanded drill programs and resource definition at their 3 projects, and the further derisking of the growing deposits into earlier stage development work.

We get an update from Scott at the La Plata project near Durango, Colorado, with a recap of the prior 56 historic drill holes worked on by Rio Tinto and Freeport, many of which have been resampled, in combination with the 2,000 meters of confirmation drilling completed by Metallic Minerals last year, all leading towards an initial resource estimate to be released in May.   The main focus of drilling at La Plata has been at the Allard target and even inside the Allard Tunnel, but the because porphyries occur in clusters, the exploration team also is optimistic that more porphyry centers will be found with 16 other targets identified from prior geophysics studies, for future drilling on their district-scale land package.

Next we transition over to the Keno Silver Project in the Yukon, discussing some of the successful drill results returned from the Central Keno Area at the Caribou target as well as the big picture exploration strategy for 2022 with more drilling at Caribou, Homestake, and Keno East that show promise at depth. We wrap up with a brief update on the and the Australia Creek Royalty  and Dominion Creek Royalty on Klondike alluvial gold project, with more newsflow and early stage production expected as the year unfolds.
