Golden Minerals – The First Profitable Quarter Of Production From The Rodeo Mine
Warren Rehn, President and CEO of Golden Minerals (TSX:AUMN – NYSE:AUMN), joins us for an update on the Q3 financials, mine operations, and exploration initiatives. Warren reports that Q3 was the Company’s first profitable quarter at their Rodeo gold mine in Mexico, and we discuss further operational efficiencies they have achieved to offset rising input costs. Next we discuss the expansion drilling around the Rodeo Mine in Mexico, and that assay results will be coming in soon.
We then move over to the ongoing economic studies for adding in a bio-oxidation circuit to recover gold, in addition to the silver, zinc, and lead circuits in the pathway to getting the Velardena Mine back into production in 2022. We wrap up with a quick review of exploration that is ongoing at both Yoquivo and Quevar.
If you have any follow up questions for Warren regarding Golden Minerals, then please email us at Fleck@kereport.com or Shad@kereport.com.
Ex. Nive call on GPR.. a couple weeks ago when I posed the question to you.. getting crushed today.
Thanks Ann. Yeah, I hold 2 dozen Silver stocks and GPR has never been one of them. They’ve had repeated challenges for years now, and I’ve always been able to find better options.
I just went over and looked once you mentioned this, and saw Great Panther was down 30% on the day. Yikes!! No thanks…
Seems to me………. Great Panther was on a few people’s watch list…. interesting…
Yeah, Great Panther has been around forever, but they’ve never wowed me personally. They had gang/protestors attacks a number of years back and some disruption of operations as a result, they’ve never done that amazing operationally or with exploration, and their diversification into gold was on a project that already didn’t animate the gold community. There are just so many other Silver & Gold & Base Metals producers that look more interesting.
As for this selloff in GPR this morning, I guess investors were not happy about their bought deal financing announced yesterday. While it’s never been that interesting to me personally, I’ve not taken a deep dive in them recently and haven’t looked into why they are raising the funds. Maybe after this kind of a sell-down, they could be at a more attractive valuation.
thanks for the reply…
Sure thing amigo.
I went and bought a bit of Great Panther, just a small position. It just looks too cheap not to. Hopefully they can somehow make it a turnaround story in the future if the metals really take off.
Hi Jerry…it was on mine…TIL Ex. Kinda steered me away
Thanks Ann for the reply…. hope all is well…..

All my miners in green.. Ann Scorpio breakout and bet my target for this month is met 🙂
Klondike doing well…
I bought some great panther at .32 I could not resist from a technical view point. It was also on my watchlist. Discussed with Matthew long ago.
Cheers to all
AH,….. I knew someone liked GPR…. … I remember tearing up a list of stocks picks… a few years ago, and Great Panther was on the list… I thought it was on EX’s list of favorites…. lol…
Hi OOTB. Nope, GBR Great Panther is on my silver watchlist, because it is a silver and base metals producer, so I track the price movements of all the companies in the sector, but it is not one of the companies I’ve held in my portfolio. I have about 2 dozen silver stocks in my portfolio though, but it was one I elected to pass on because I feel there are either stronger operators out there with other producers, or companies with more exploration upside as producers.
Hi Glen…👍yes I own SGN and bought KS on Monday.. I was thinking about GPR also, have a bid in at .30..but not going to happen…highly doubtful..today Congrats….
Thanks Ann,
Así didn’t park the truck but I liked the long term monthly low and sometimes need to roll the dice.
I’m really heavy on iamgold need to offload as it goes up to offset my cost average overall.
Really glad you got some Klondike and Scorpio. So many great companies as discussed I think many will do very well in the next 12-18 months.
Jaja thanks Jerry…
You da man….. Glen……… thanks for the come back….
Panther might just take off like a cat in the night, after a deer…. who knows… 🙂
One noticeable point he made was that inflation pressure was not as onerous in Mexico.
