Thor Explorations – Commercial Production Achieved at Segilola With An Upcoming Maiden Resource at Douta
Segun Lawson, President and CEO of Thor Explorations (TSX.V:THX – US:THXPF) joins us to discuss the move into commercial production at the Segilola Gold Project in Nigeria. The Company has made it up to nameplate ore throughput, with an average head-grade of 4 g/t, an AISC under $700 per ounce, and is guiding around 30,000 ounces of production in 2021, and 85,000 ounces next year. Segun unpacked the ongoing 4,000 meter drill program stepping out to potential satellite deposits near the main orebody.
We wrap up with a review of the 45,000 meters of drilling at the Douta Project in Senegal, and how the Company is currently preparing to release the maiden resource estimate on this deposit, and with plans to continue drilling to extend the strike length beyond the 7.5 km already tested.
If you have any questions for Segun regarding the ongoing work at Thor Explorations please email us at either fleck@kereport.com or shad@kereport.com.
It is nice to see that Thor Explorations has made it into commercial production, and is getting close to their maiden resource estimate on their second project in Senegal.
I remain a happy shareholder here and tip my hat to Segun and his team for graduating to the next stage of mining = producers. Job well done!
