GDX made a new low today and did so with the RSI diverging bullishly (a non-confirmation). Today could have been the low but it could also happen at one of the other nearby declining supports:

March-April lows have been exceeded but with a weekly RSI bullish divergence:

I use the 3/25 and 3/8 Swings on weekly….The minor one for me are not rally attempts for RSI comparison…The good news is that the Monthly MACD is above its zero line…This then is still bullish..Also monthly Mid TAS is1711 which is near to 61.8 retracement on weekly…Better symmetry….TD9 breakout on weekly is swing low price of 1677.3
And the quarterly MACD looks great, better now than last summer.
Where’s Bonzo—pretty soon he’s going to have to stop me from purchasing some NSRPF at obscenely low prices.
I’m no fan of Novo and can fill in for Bonzo, temporarily. Keep that dough in your pocket for now..something better will come along.
You’ve got that right—-there will be all kinds of good companies on sale—the candy store has not opened its’ doors for business just yet but it is coming.

Terri, just curious; which companies do you like a whole lot better then NOVO?

Stuck in KGC at the moment. Got my eye on VGZ, ANX, STN.AX. But mostly I like Aussie mid tier producers SLR, RMS, WAF and trading in and out of those all the time.
The only company out of those you list that I own is ANX and I own a boatload at low prices. It’s correcting along with most other stocks and I’ll add when it gets to levels I like.

MB is as close to a 100% ‘price-only’ analyst I have found, giving both sides of a position from that perspective. He even mentions in this video how much he stays away from “fundies”. Glad you find his stuff useful!

Was today Basel III and did anything happen but miner suppression?
I can’t imagine ABX or GFI going significantly lower than this plus Newcrest which often leads the sector made a nice U bottoming today – hopefully we are starting a new strong daily cycle. Recent action regarding Basel 3 is quite important but mostly in terms of market manipulation – probably the cartel will also suppress pm prices at the end of the year just like it was done for the last month. So we will be building this handle until January and hopefully will see 2400 sometime in april.
The red bearish candles are just relentless and blood bath phase is an understatement!
Most definitely the gaps Matthew was looking for will happen today but this move seems ultra aggressive down. Gdx will fill that monthly gap at 32 and change as I mentioned a far time back. It sucks but I’m sure many are lost with words in regards to this bear for quite sometime now.
The daily is oversold at least some type of bounce should come but will it be a short one?
Said it long ago, I didn’t like that double bottom and I’m truly at this point just waiting this out 4.6% cash and won’t buy nothing at this point.
The hope would be a sharp turn at some point and reversal of which I won’t rule out..

only positve today, the producer are holding firm relative to gold. usually a good sign.
There is just little interest in gold and been that way for long time. Not necessarily bullish or bearish, it’s just that there has been so much other stuff to track for excitement

Are you knew? I have not seen you post before. But sometimes I have a bad habit of forgetting.
If you have followed me closely you would know my clear position so I’m not trying to play it safe I’m far from that lol. I’m in the bull camp and I’m ticked off at the a holes of the market makers and bankers who are clearly naked shorting us down and there ain’t know ammo strong enough, not mine not matthews or anyone’s in here that can stop it until they want to. So yes I’m hoping at some point they stop this fraudulent take down and turn it up as we know sooner or later they will do. For now it’s clears I’m on the side and wisely holding on to my 4.6% of cash which is what I would tell anyone to do.

Probably below 10. The way to trade metals it to religiously buy only when DSI is below 10 for a period of 5 trading days or more.
I highly doubt it’s below 14. But I’m guessing.

The DSI was 14 when gold was 1778. Today, it hit 1751 and did so by plunging straight down. For comparison, the DSI was 16 last Thursday and fell to 14 while gold gained one dollar. Based on that, a drop to under 10 is very possible based on gold falling $27 today.
The Bullish Percent indicator is based on the technical picture of gold miners (not gold) so it measures sentiment by extension, not directly. I do not know how Bernstein does it but it must be superior based on the price he charges and the words of his subscribers.

The current reading is 53.33 and readings above 50 put the odds in favor of the bulls with 70+ being overbought.
