Martin Turenne, President and CEO of FPX Nickel (TSX.V:FPX – OTC:FPOCF) joins us to recap two news releases, one from January of this year, and the other from last week on June 9th. These outline the potential of the Baptiste Deposit being a low-carbon or even carbon-neutral operation. We discuss why this is important, especially for a nickel project. The most recent news highlights work completed in conjunction with the University of British Columbia that demonstrates the tailings at the Baptiste Deposit “can sequester significant quantities of carbon dioxide (“CO2”) when exposed to air through a natural process of mineral carbonation”.
