Markets and Metals – focus on the election and how will will impact the markets and get an update from Novo Resources
After another volatile week for the markets, that was packed with calls and interviews, it seems all investors want to get past this election and be able to refocus on the markets.
On this weekend’s show I feature Trader Vic and Doc all to focus on looking past the election and outline some sustainable investing trends. We also get an update from Novo Resources after a busy week of news.
I hope everyone has a very happy Halloween (even if there is nothing to do). Please keep the emails coming to Fleck@kereport.com.
- Segment 1 and 2 – Trader Vic Sperandeo kicks off the show with his thoughts on the US election, who is going to win, and how the markets from metals to the Dollar to the broad averages will be impacted.
- Segment 3 – Doc joins us in this segment to share his outlook for gold and junior gold stocks into next year.
- Segment 4 – Quinton Hennigh, President and Chairman of Novo Resources wraps up the weekend show by recapping the multiple news releases from the week. We discuss everything from sorting test work, trial mining, aboriginal agreements and general operations.

Pure Gold came out with stellar drilling results last Tuesday, the stock nudged around 10% but struggled to get there. The next two days saw it return to it’s lower sideways pattern. I am seeing mostly sellers as the conventional markets have been drifting lower all week. I wonder if the market is sensing a Biden win and is reflecting his desire to increase taxes and implement a bigger socialist agenda. The market is overdue a big correction but the thought of Biden winning could be hastening this along. I suspect that cash is sitting on the sidelines waiting to see how this plays out mid-week. DT
Doc, what levels do you think gold and silver will get to before they begin the next leg up?
I’m no Doc, but I’ve repeatedly put myself out there with projections and they have been darn good as of late.
$1781 is my long time target give or take. But pay close attention to $1751-$1800..even more importantly pay attention to your long term ranges for your miners as they hold the secret. For example Scorpio went down earlier this week and last. Picked up more. But if this move comes, I could see Scorpio two .10-.11 cents on the cad.
Thanks for the editorial Cory and al!
Doc good insight. Keeping a level head in these markets is what counts.
These next few days or week or two will offer a buying opportunity in the miners. I remain with my last tranche ready and it’s a sizeable one. I will not rule out a lower price for the miners. There going to give it one more push down and than that will be your opportunity to load up.
I would tend to disagree with you regarding ex and possibly Matthews in and outs as there was plenty of stellar performance in the miners and we had a fabulous run. From the looks of things I’m not sure if you missed out on that run. I know moriarty insisted we would go lower because of the miners bullish sentiment indicator was at a level of 90+. Turned out those were some of the best gains I’ve ever had.
Like I’ve mentioned I personally would like to see one more push so I can get more shares and create and real good negative bearish sentiment that all is well and gold is going down. Only for trunk to win and the pruning presses to hit full speed with bail out!
Folks regardless of if we take off or it’s v shaped or November and December will not reach the all time highs, Matt, myself and others have mentioned the the miners will outperform from these lows and if we do get one more push down, you will surely be one happy camper by year end I would tend to believe.
I was hoping Vic would be here today.

Wow! Trader Vic’s Covid comments are as ignorant as those from trump. The state of SD is in real trouble with positivity rates hitting 46.3% and their hospitals almost full. On top of that, staff members are exhausted. Utah for one, is considering how to ration care in their bulging hospitals. Concentrating only on the # of deaths certainly doesn’t give one a grasp of the real problem………..
I used to consider his financial comments worth listening……..Won’t bother wasting my time anymore…..JMO
Talked to my son-in-law last evening. He’s an ER doc. He says they’re seeing more cases with about 25 admissions but only 1 on a ventilator. He says a lot of the people are not as ill as the first wave back in April.
The covid number of cases seem to be following (so far) the pattern of the Spanish flu back in 1918-1919—an initial spike in the spring 0f 1918 followed by a larger spike in the fall and then a lower spike in the spring of 1919.
Your info is good to hear Doc. Thanks. Fact is we’re all hoping for an end to this virus struggle………
Had the same though. I think the waves of the Spanish flu were shorter
Thank you Doc for your input on the metal markets. Always look forward to when your on the show. Be well.
Doc is very definitely one of the good guys!
South Dakota’s hospital capacity was at 10% three weeks ago. I don’t what the number is now, but there’s no evidence that forcing residents to wear masks would have helped in any way.
The criminal media has done its best to create fear and to make Governor Noem appear to be irresponsible when facts show that she’s been the opposite and very on-the-ball.
It is unbelievable that so many Americans have such a poor understanding of history that they have no problem with the government’s reckless use of force no matter the consequences.
Ben Franklin was absolutely correct when he said: “Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”
Franklin should have added that such people will not get liberty or safety either. And thank goodness for that; unprincipled and immoral people should reap what they sow.

Dirtball Fauci told Noem that she would have 10,000 patients in her hospitals but as of a month ago, the most was about 200.
Matthew 100% dirt ball!
What this corrupt world has been able to manufacture is far worse than any covid or other illness as per say.
The trade off between deaths and what is really happening is disgusting. Seniors, who are at highest risk with health issues would have passed away most likely regardless of the corona. The common flu would have taken them out. The numbers per year of death is far less than the annual number for the common flu that wipes out the same vulnerable seniors and at risk health compromised young ones.. Instead what we have here is a far greater issue that mainstream media is not addressing.
Here is the trade off..
1. Suicide rate is at an all time high but is being covered. I know first hand here in Canada and I can tell you many people are jumping off the balcony and onto coming subway trains and the clean up is fast and to leave no evidence behind. They have tactical teams for that. This source coming from an insider that works at the train station. He reckons a few a week.
2. Mental health rising at an alarming rate which leads to suicide and death. This is the early stage of the cycle of what is happening with lockdown.
3. Depression tied in with everything else leading to number 1.
4. Divided rate up the roof. Couples together in lock down that had social issues prior have escalated the problem with more time together and less money.
5. Bankruptcy and debt.. $2000 cerb or government help per month gets you an ice cream bar today.
The mounting pressure and bankruptcies that I continue to hear is far more worse than the total deaths that are occurring. The formula above will cause not only more death down the line when people can’t meet the financial obligations but drive them to insanity with risk loss of freedom and a created jail like system for all of us under your roof..
Folks we better hope that enough people will rise to stop this.
Ditto GLEN…………SPOT ON…….I have been pounding the table since Feb 22……
Only argument you will get out of me is the $2,000…… it’s enough to get a lot young people not to work….we were paying labourers anywhere from $20-$25/hr and have had none since march. Some have found odd cash jobs to cover the difference. I’m in the best shape I’ve been in years cuz of it so I’m not complaining too much. Just has meant most jobs are taking longer obviously.
I hope Kristi Noem runs for president in 4 years. Masks do more harm than good. See article at the top of 321gold.com today.
Matthew: This: “but there’s no evidence that forcing residents to wear masks would have helped in any way.” simply isn’t true. A great site that is science based is: https://medicalxpress.com/coronavirus/ Watch it for a few days and you will see that while masks aren’t perfect they do help a great deal. Right now masks, hand washing and social distancing are about all we can do. I know folks are expecting that covid-19 will disappear Nov 4th but don’t count on it.
The charts in the article I linked to make it pretty clear that any possible benefit is negligible/statistically insignificant. However, the efficacy, or lack of, has never been the center of my concern, it’s government force. Unless you believe that “might makes right”, there is no legitimacy to the powers wielded by the majority of governors. I know that’s generally a tough sell after a century of intense indoctrination but it is logically true.
Even if I were among those at greatest risk of catching and dying from the virus, I would never demand that others wear masks get get vaccinated for my benefit. The mask and vaccine would be MY choice for MY protection. Frankly, it’s hard to believe that so many millions of people are so morally degraded or bankrupt that they have no qualms essentially enslaving others rather than taking full responsibility for themselves.
As for the politics and economics of it all, it became crystal clear to me many years ago (after a lot of research and study) that 100% of the left and probably 90% of the right doesn’t know/understand history or economics and therefore do not have a clue how the world really works. Therefore, it is perfectly normal and expected that the people you send to this site are so taken aback by some of the alternative views of people who value truth and don’t assume that CNN or FOX is giving it to them.
Interesting final paragraph, Matthew!
Great summary Matt!
I would add that mask become a killer.. For the uniformed.
Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a gas the body naturally produces as waste. We breathe in oxygen (O2) to fuel organs and tissues and the end product is CO2. The balance between these two gases is required for a healthy body. However, when we rebreathe CO2 it can have harmful and sometimes dangerous effects on the body. When CO2 levels are elevated in the body it is known as hypercapnia. Hypercapnia can occur for a number of reasons, one of which is rebreathing our own exhaled CO2. Rebreathing CO2 can lead to increased blood pressure, headaches, muscle twitches, rapid heart rate, chest pain, confusion, and fatigue. In extreme cases, if left untreated, hypercapnia can lead to organ damage and even have long standing effects on the brain.
I posted this recently and I’d bet not one leftist watched it but they should. Tom Woods is motivated by truth, not politics.

Mr. Woods is a pretty smart guy!
Mike,
Now, how could any sane person ever believe that?
Novo Resources is yesterday’s news and I can’t get interested in this commentary about the small gold particles, the machines for finding them and the processes for actually making money from those particles.
SilverDollar: Thanks – I was thinking the same thing or worse but didn’t want to start a firestorm so said nothing. Joe Biden is no left wing fanatic. The fact that Vic implies that just shows how extreme he is and how far off the deep end he has gone.
I tend to ignore the political stuff at KE Reports but it hurts the popularity of the site. People often worry that young investors aren’t interested in gold. I fear that the political extremism we see here and at other gold/silver sites drives new investors away. I’ve sent a few folks to this site and most have come back asking about the craziness they see. I tell them to ignore the politics but it does freak folks out.
LIKE DUH…………..
I will have to admit,…..it does get a little retarded some times……But, this has been a long running show…..With a lot of great info. each week.
I must say…..like every section on the KER, you can just scroll on by anything you do not like, and you can give an opinion….Just like you freely did above….
Humm……….Pitt Trump fans wait in the cold……
https://www.zerohedge.com/political/pittsburgh-post-gazette-endorses-president-trump-marking-first-gop-endorsement-almost-50
Humm…..Check the picture out…….BIDEN FANS…then see Ron’s post of …..Sleepy Joe getting escorted out of TEXAS…
Not sure which picture you are referring to but if it was the incident on I-35 in Texas, neither Biden nor Harris were on the bus but a local Texas candidate. The Trump supporters were dispersed by police. That’s the only one I heard about.
Good Point David……..
David, check with Ron , on that one……as I said in one of the sections,…..I did not want to take any credit for Ron’s Post….
How many people attended the rally…………..45-65,000 THOUSAND…..????
Biden /obama….10(not thousands either) maybe , if, you include the staff…. 🙂
“Joe Biden is no left wing fanatic.” So what you’re saying is that Joe should be entrusted to implement his “experiment”. & put in left wing fanatics to run the show—
Ron……just posted a great tape…….SHOWING BIDEN BEING RAN OUT OF TEXAS…..
Look for it at the WALL STREET and BIDEN Blog area….
greetings to all…. Happy Halloween!
readers here are all on dot,
Vic is correct dollar index has to go down with so much stimulus, index from 70 is easy to see 80’s,,, economy has to strengthen by slowly … the treasury will knock it down ..gradually
gold will be at 2200 – in no time gold can strengthen to 1950’s in 2 weeks, after touching 1950 around then gold: goes back to 1780 1800 for fund managers to have a profit taking and bonus time I think the same pattern of 1919 in year 2011, fund managers gave a lot of dividends to gold stocks and gold funds on the run up in years: 2010 2011
gold has been quiet ,,, think same bitcoin traders took same positions to make gold rise,, it’s the bitcoin dealers which can spike gold quickly , the same quick flexible movement as bitcoin and cyptoes
the bitcoin has risen 40 percent from 8000 to 13000 in few months, think they are same position takers who can make a market and move a market and have guts and balls to sustain such a move up,, a move from 1400 to 2050 in gold is also a 40 percent rise, just having a devil advocate mind no real symptoms
Great show Al and Cory. Great comments and back and forth on the board too!
More people in Pennsylvania over the age of 100 have died from covid then those 45 and younger. One also wonders how many of those over the age of 100 actually died from the covid versus testing positive and dying from another cause. I also recently saw a study reported from a region of the country where the people that tested positive for covid, about 70% ALWAYS wore masks and about 15% almost always wore masks. There was a study months ago put out by the WHO and the study was from Hong Kong and it had to do with influenza and the wearing of masks. The study’s conclusion was that masks made no difference although they did admit the study was not statistically significant. It’s possible that masks may decrease the viral load one inhales or exhales but there is no study yet that shows masks may a significant difference. There are just studies that seem to infer that masks may make a difference. There is no prospective study (real science) that supports mask wearing as an effective countermeasure.
Exactly Doc! 100%
I have a question to ask everyone in here. I asked a good buddy of mine who is a family doctor and he stuttered somewhat in regards to me asking him if the testing kits for covid would blow positive if you had say the flu or common cold or fever and congestion. I got a very long answer.
I got a very good feeling these tests are blowing positive for everything and anything. Just saying….
You could almost depend on the test kits being corrupted…..
If, the govt is corrupt, the politicians are corrupt, the MICC is corrupt, the BIG PHARMA is corrupt, the AMA is corrupt by the education system…..hummm
Wellness, via natural herbs….hummm….takes care of a lot of healing.
Clean air, clean water, sunshine……natural ways of cure,…..and we are waiting for a test kit…..made by who, the corrupted system……
Virus was man made, and created in the USA, Ft. D…..and it back fired, but, not really,
Hi Doc. Glad to hear you back on the show. Was up in your neck of the woods this past September enjoying an autumn week in Traverse City visiting wineries and enjoying the bay. Great spot.
Charles, that’s great. I was talking with a neighbor yesterday and we agreed that Michigan is one of the best kept secrets as regards the spring, summer, and fall. It’s the winters that can destroy the pleasures of the other idyllic seasons.
Being from Buffalo NY area originally I totally get that. The winters there seemed like they were 8 months long!
let’s talk about how much it costs to try and fix a computer using the wrong method…and act serious about it…pure theatre….
