We all have to admit that there is a lot of confusion out there as to the number of COVID deaths. The only thing I know for sure is that it is somewhere between 9000 and 250 million. Somewhere between 0.002% and 60%. This is a monumental testament to our fake news media system.
250 million is a quote from a speech by Joe Biden who has Alzheimer’s and should be discounted.
The 9000 number is from the CDC after backing out all of the cases with co-morbidity. (95%) There has been a lot of miss classification of people that died with COVID as dying from COVID because of the lucrative payments to the medical system. For example, if a patient died on a ventilator with COVID it could be worth up to 50,000 per death to the hospital. This is a pretty good incentive to classify all deaths as COVID deaths. You can hire a pretty good hit man for 50K. COVID is a genetically engineered virus with nano tech which makes it extremely communicable. The nano size particles easily flow through mask and float on air currents for a long time and distance. For this reason, we can assume that everyone has it. Most people that have it have no symptoms. The test only detects 95% of the people that have it. For me I tend to believe the .002% number. It is very simple to statistically verify this hypothesis. Simply compare the total deaths between 2019 and 2020 which are amazing very close to the same.

What about the factor of pre-existing complications among the elderly? The mortality rate among the elderly seems to be decreasing significantly Wayne. Very confusing situation and, for some people, very difficult to understand the real truth. This fact is making the current environment difficult to understand and it is important to realize this. Don’t you agree?

The majority of people who died of the flu were 65 and over and many of them I am sure also had pre-existing health conditions. It seems people are comparing COVID deaths and factoring in pre-existing health conditions to the total flu deaths and not factoring in pre-existing health conditions for the flu when they should. I have no doubt more people have died of COVID-19 than of the seasonal flu (annually). I have read a number of times where several members of a family died the same week due to COVID, I do not remember hearing such things about the season flu. And also there seems to be lingering health problems that lasted weeks or even months for some that had COVID which may include permanent damage to organs. I can’t recall ever hearing the flu doing that. COVID sure seems to be worse than just the season flu.
And just to add. The U.S. has taken extra steps for COVID-19 that we do not really do for the seasonal flu and still we had more deaths. That also needs to be taken into account when comparing COVID-19 to the seasonal flu.

Wayne, interim statistics have been showing a decrease in flu deaths below average.
While, obviously, flu feaths do fluctuate above and below average over time, I suspect many “flu deaths” are actually being recorded as “covid deaths”.
We will know after the year’s end, when full data is published in several countries.
Flu season in the U.S. runs from October to May and peaks between December to March sometimes in October or November. Most of the cases and deaths happened after flu season peaked. Four nursing homes in my county had 25% of the resident die due to COVID in three months. Most from the end of April to the early part of May. People are still getting sick and even dying. It was not from the the seasonal flu that is for sure. I know of no one who even had the flu this past winter. Most people I know have told me that they never had the flu in there life. I only had it once in 58 years when I was 12.

I play a Taylor 810 dreadnaught since 1999, and love it. So far I have no arthritis and I’ll turn 72 in October.
