A dive into the O3 Mining PEA for the Marban Project
On last weekend’s show I was joined by Jose Vizquerra, President and CEO of O3 Mining. We discussed the just released PEA on the Marban Property.
Today Brian Leni joins me to share his thoughts on the PEA. We also look at the other proprieties that the stock is not getting any value in. On top of the recent PEA the Company has a large drill program that is ongoing.

(TIG) (TIGCF) Triumph Gold Announces Completion of the 2020 Field Campaign at Freegold Mountain Project, Yukon
17 Sep 2020
“The Triumph Gold exploration team conducted a productive and successful field program in 2020 despite the unprecedented challenges faced,” commented John Anderson, CEO and Chairman. “The program focused on greenfield, near-surface gold targets which coupled with a strong gold market should unlock additional value for our shareholders.”
Jesse Halle, VP Exploration added, “The Freegold Mountain Project continues to show its exploration up-side with every drill hole and new surface exposure, even in the greenfield locations, displaying eye-opening alteration and mineralization. I’m looking forward to the assay results and to an expanded exploration program in 2021.”

Excellon moving things right along for their US listing. I’m excited that they are going to be able to attract the larger capital flows from the much larger pool of American investors, as mentioned earlier in the week when discussing reverse splits for the purpose of getting the dual listing.
Also, I’m curious to see how they did this quarter at Platosa in Mexico with Silver in the $20-$29 range for the quarter (likely around $25 average). In addition, they are doing their initial drilling at the historic Silver City district over in Saxony, Germany, so that should be interesting to watch.
Kodiak keeps on rocking….for anyone into area plays GSP Resources has an even tighter share structure than kodiak and has commenced drilling.
Northern Shield showing -53% US on my account. In checking, I noted there was one small paint the tape sale yesterday which jumped it up +125% or so. As a result, todays price drop is misleading.
I hold a small position in NRN but unfortunately their drill results from 2 weeks back were not what the market was looking for as they didn’t high the high-grade gold targeted. They hit some of the right mineralization and some disseminated gold, but they are still earlier on with this target.

“Although the assays from drill-hole SR20-11 did not yield high gold grades, we remain very encouraged by indications of the presence of a large LSE gold system at depth. We know from our first phase of drilling that gold grades can increase significantly over short distances, both laterally and vertically. Now that we are able to identify areas prospective for larger veins from airborne magnetic data, we have to hone in on the boiling zone where we expect to encounter higher gold grades. Recently, Dr. Quinton Hennigh with investor Crescat Capital, has advised us on the merits of using controlled-source audiomagnetotellurics (“CSAMT”) to better differentiate areas that may host feeders for the hot spring system. CSAMT data collection will start imminently and will greatly augment vectoring of future drilling. We continue to improve our understanding of this exciting new gold system while recognizing that persistence leads to discovery.”

It is early for NRN but everyone was hoping for a big start that didn’t happen. Part of the expectation was QH as an advisor. There are more holes coming but I think their location is in the cold zone and can’t do year around drilling. They claimed seeing visible gold in some of the drill samples, so maybe those that come in before the winter layoff will be more in line with investor hopes. I have some but limited dollar value.
One I forgot to mention after the MIF conference presentations was Scottie Resources. They are at the Southern End of the Golden Triangle and started with a small property that they have expanded. Historically it is an area of good drill results. What attracted me was the indication they could drill year round and supposedly there has been a lot of money spent on infrastructure in the area by other owners or nearby mines. The kicker is that there is a tunnel that runs several kilometers through the property which already gives them ready access to some difficult areas to drill. I picked some up and then heard an interview of Jamie Keach by someone…(sorry) that liked Scottie. I didn’t write it in my notes but I think Keach said he had been to the property. I guess you would have to say it was endorsed by Greg McCoach as it was one of his 5 presenters at MIF. The CEO mentioned during MIF that he had some drill samples at the analyst and he is hoping for some results similar to “bonanza” grades they had sampled. His words that I wrote down. Price around .35 US which is a little higher than most without a significant drill history. For what it is worth information. I own some but not a lot.
Good thoughts David. I believe with Northern Shield that Q.H. has only recently given them that advice about the utilizing the controlled-source audiomagnetotellurics (CSAMT), so that will apply to future drill holes and not the one’s they just released a few weeks back. Yes, NRN is pretty far north, so their drilling will be wrapping up soon, but they still have assays that are yet to report and some of those may still hold some promising results, before things get quiet over the winter months. Thank goodness I decided to lighten up on Northern Shield in late July when I started trimming back my winners, as I made a nice profit on it this year, and the remaining position I have is very small and just speculative in nature. I considered averaging down, but think I’m just going to hold to see if the other drill results are more promising and take it from there.
As for Scottie Resources, yes, I’ve heard Brien Lundin and Stateside discuss them in the Golden Triangle, and they had quite a run this year, like most of the Golden Triangle stocks did. However, they are mostly in the same boat where the drilling will be wrapping up over the next month or two for the winter months, so the last sets of assays from the explorers need to move the needle further, or else many stocks may weaken in the months to come. For now, all my exploration bets have been placed in many different area plays and jurisdictions, and I’ve got many more in the Red Lake, Abitibi, Kirkland Lake, Detour Lake, areas in Canada than in the Golden Triangle at this point.
Come on Juniors…. drill, drill, drill and let’s see the results over the next month or two.
I think I am pretty much out of the Triangle except for Scottie and Brixton (which has some out of the area projects also). I do have some in the Yukon/Alaska area and Erdene in Mongolia, which I hear gets cold.
I picked up a starter position on NSR on the route
Russell Hamilton had his subscribers play the last upswing on Scottie
Woops, that was supposed to be Morris Hubbert!
Sprott mentioned Freegold today in his conversation with Craig Hemke and I think that is making it “recover” some of their previous drop.
I just got in Freegold quite recently on the big pullback, and sold today on the Sprott pop for a quick scalp. I had already made a little more than 20% on the position, and wanted to raise a little dry powder for next week, but still like the story. Often times those pops on Sprott discussing a stock on Fridays are 1 day affairs, and if FVL sees more weakness next week again, then I may buy the position back.
Great buy and sell. Your timing was about perfect on both moves. I have a lower basis but hardly any profit. You are going to “learn me something” one of these days.
Got to give it to you Ex, I really think that you’ve had a good run this past while with your in and out of stocks approach. You’ve been sharing that model consistently here on Ker, and by all accounts, it appears that it’s done well for you. Like they say, peeling a bit off when things move up never hurts, because any day of realized profit is a good day. Congrats!
Ditto. Been trading around a core position on Freegold. Sold some today, buying dips and selling spikes
