My discussion with Doc from earlier today was looking lonely, especially since two companies I’d planned to share profiles on today have had scheduling issues.
So going to a somewhat different subject I wanted to share with all of you a commentary I wrote earlier this month on the near-hysteria in some quarters over a major trade war, chiefly between the U.S. and China.
My take in a nut shell: Economically, the story is not dissimilar to the military “standoff” years back between the U.S. and the Soviet Union. . .and I believe that likewise, neither the U.S. nor China (but especially, as I argue, a MUCH weaker China) can afford to REALLY “fire the first shot”
