Novo Resources – A broad update answering your questions on exploration, ore storing, and potential partners
Quinton Hennigh, President and Chairman of Novo Resources (TSX-V: NVO & OTCQX: NSRPF) joins me for a wide ranging discussion on recent news and to address all the questions sent in over the past week. We discuss the use of ore sorting at Egina and when we could see some larger sorting trials underway. Also insights on Commet Wells and Beaton’s Creek as well as the relationship with Kirkland Lake.
Please keep the questions coming through email to Fleck@kereport.com.

NVO is up close to 30% since the 14th when I said that it “WILL rise” (green arrow on following chart).
Once the current pause is over (and it might be already), the odds are good that it will hit the top resistance of that fork around roughly 4.55 before it has a more significant pullback. If only owned some…

Good call Matthew. I remember.
Thanks David. Per Weinstein’s stage analysis, the picture is shaping up well. Price is above the upward pointing 30 week MA and volume has been expanding for the last four weeks, each of which finished higher. I think it will really get going with a move above the 3.96 (C$) December high:

Called on 4 / 29 based on two indicators. Verify. Twitter
You were spot on Matthew!!

Looks like a nice pattern bullish formation on the hourly on gold. Hopefully I bring good luck charm to all. Expecting it to break out very soon or within an hour or two with a bullish green candle straight to 1750 ish area. Volume should be higher today. I believe you should get a buying opportunity at the open but then you never know we could come out flying out of the gates. A move Lower negates everything I said.
Cheers to all..
$41 oil is coming soon…

A significantly higher Canadian dollar is also coming soon…

But first it must deal with double fork resistance just above…

Matt,
The CND is going to rip even though we are in a housing crash and are printing loads of currency too? I guess banks will have to start buying real things again..instead of baling out underwater housing.
The lows of 2016 and 2020 happened in the area of the 1999 and 2000 highs and most likely marked a very long term low but any “ripping” the C$ does might be reserved for the short term as it mean reverts to “undo” the March crash. I expect it to continue higher from there long term vs the USD (not gold) and think it can get over 80 this year.
It gained as much as 17% in 2016 and 14% in 2017 and has more reason to rise this year or next year than in either of those years.
That should be good for my SU, DVN, XOM, RDS, and CVX. Good for Houston too. Go oil!

Nice to get regular news flow. Would love to see it in the .40’s
Good drill results on Kootenay. Never got to add because of USAA transfer to Schwab, but had a decent share count already. For what it is worth info: when the Mako CEO said he was thinking about a reverse split, I moved some Mako to Metallic. Good drill results by Metallic today. Some times luck works.
Agreed David. Sometimes being forced to sit on one’s hands allows a better opportunity to present itself. I also exited most of my Mako, but still have the Sailfish Royalties position in place to capitalize on San Albino going into production in the not so distant future.
Yeah, I saw the move higher today in Metallic Minerals which led me to their presser today:

Metallic Minerals Announces High-Grade Silver Samples and 3D Modelling at its West Keno Targets on the Keno Silver Project including Formo, Silver Queen and Duncan Creek
26 May 2020
> Underground channel samples from the Formo target area show three high-grade mineralized shoots grading more than 1,000 g/t silver equivalent (Ag Eq) grade that remain open to expansion
> Grades from the main Formo deposit returned an average of 7,459 g/t Ag Eq over 45 m lateral width on the 2800 level, 33 m lateral width grading 1,795 Ag Eq on the 2700 level and 44 m lateral width grading 2,258 Ag Eq on the 2600 level with mineralization open to expansion
> Definition of two new untested surface target zones have also been identified along the main Formo structure.
> Refinement of two priority drill targets at the Silver Queen target area down dip of Alexco Resources’ high-grade Silver King deposit and trend extension of the Bermingham systems.
> Discovery of two new multi-kilometer soil anomalies at the early stage Duncan target area.
> Receipt of permits for drilling at Formo and Silver Queen in place with planning underway for the next phase of exploration activities.
Wowzers – Metallic Minerals is hitting the kinds of Bonanza grade Silver intercepts that Alexco has been, with such extraordinary co-credits that surely this starts to swivel a few heads.
> 7,459 g/t $Silver Equivalent over 45 m
> 33 m lateral width grading 1,795 Ag Eq
> 44 m lateral width grading 2,258 Ag Eq
Swiveled my head. But didn’t help it.
How many Mondays in a row have we had similar miner action? Rhetorical. Forgot that over the weekend the US paid all its debt with the help of contributions from Disney characters.
I kept about 40% of my Mako because I rolled my sailfish back into Ely. I was going to go with my Mako shares. The Ely part worked.
Yeah, Ely Gold has been on a tear for sure.
I haven’t touched my Sailfish much, have trimmed off my Mako, and have a solid position in Maverix and Golden Valley for other Royalties exposure. I’d like to pick up some Metalla and EMX as well.
Nice. More solid high-grade intercepts for Kootenay Silver. They’ve been delivering lately with the drill bit and will have nice optionality to a rising silver price.
Reduced some Jaguar and Minaurum And added to Metallic.
I trimmed off 15% of my Jaguar last week with 85% on to ride, but moved that to cash, and plan to buy that 15% stake back if the PM stocks pull back over the next month or so.
I’ve looked at Minaurum a few times but never pulled the trigger, so I’ll check it out again, as several people over at ceo.ca wrote me privately over there recommending it. I’m just stretched a bit thin over too many companies at present and am working on consolidating down the number of positions and beefing up existing holdings.
I am considering adding in some Monarch Gold and Gold Resource Corp soon. Also considering Golden Minerals, Riverside Resources, Compass Gold, Bluestone Resources, and Regulus Resources.
Recently I sold off my K92 Mining and McEwen Mining positions, and started a position in the small Aussie gold producer Superior Gold with some of the proceeds. I may go into Gold Resource corp to pick up a Nevada/Mexico gold producer next.
Cory, what more can I say, another great interview. The kerport.com is the place to go for timely informative interviews on the mining industry for the lay investor. Specifically with Quinton Hennigh on Novo Resources and I also recommend the Egina for Dummies part 2 report found on thehedgelesshorseman.com.
Azimut up but not sure if there is a reason… yet. May want to keep an eye on it.
Azimut announced today that they resumed drilling on their Elmer project, hence the increased price on double the average volume.
Forgot: gold option expiration manipulation day.
I have gotten to the point that I would like things to either start moving or not. Some of mine have done well and some have not started like minaurum. Rather than keep swapping out completely, I am just reweighting and waiting. Good drill results triggered heavier weighting to metallic today and I am riding out Ely, Great Bear, and several others. Discovery is driving me nuts but I am holding. It is having trouble getting back to where it was in February. Oh well.
I lime GORO but haven’t owned it for awhile. It did well in the 2016 runup before the smash.
