Considering gold is outperforming the stocks here’s a strategy for the stock investors
Dave Erfle joins me to share how he is viewing the overall metals sector. We start with an overview of the recent performance in gold, gold stocks, and silver. Then it’s all about how Dave is managing his portfolio of gold stocks.

Interesting…….thanks for sharing……
Miklo – good call – Justin is a sharp dude and I hadn’t checked in on him in a while.
He’s a big fan of Stan Weinstein’s method of looking at the 30 week moving average to identify what stage a stock or asset class is in.
I first found out about him when my buddy Kerem interviewed him about Uranium investing a few years back.

Weinstein has a lot of useful trading methods and tips. It’s very informative.
EdwardGofsky on Twitter is a solid guy.
He have brought up USAS several times.
Thanks for the heads up on Edward Gofsky, I’ll check him out. Yeah, I’m a fan of USAS and believe they are doing all the right things to become a solid Mid-Tier Silver/Gold/Zinc/Lead producer to capitalize on the next run in the metals prices.
Thanks, Miklo, but I shall remain loyal to the kereport.
It’s OK to look at other sites, just don’t stare….. 😉

Price…….$18.25…..interesting comment……Dave…thanks
This sure is a funky business…….
Dave, I follow teranga gold and own it, actually bought it when you mentioned it on this show last year. Another stock you mention you like usas last year for solid silver play because they have high grade in ground they are holding off on until silver breaks out, you still like this stock long term? Thanks
Paul, I’m Not a Dave Erfle but I won both those stocks and bought TCGdf a long time ago and added a tad a few weeks ago. I also added a little usas about a week ago on this pullback. Both of these are long term plays for me if you believe the PMs are going to continue higher over time. The technicals still look solid for both of them.
Doc – speaking of USAS and their pullback (due to their illegal blockade at Cosala); check out these charts from Grady. He’s a good technician that just outlined why he believes Americas Gold & Silver is getting ready to break out to the upside:

Graddhy – Commodities TA+Cycles @graddhybpc on Twitter:
“$USA.TO – As said, it looked ready. This quality play is now moving up the right side of my green rounded bottom for pm that I have pointed out for several months is in the making. Bullish engulfing reversal after having BT EMA30 for weeks. $USAS”
Ex, I’m locked and loaded in this one!
Bring it on! 🙂
Haha! Sounds good to me Miklo. I’ve grown my position size somewhat recently and want to see Americas Silver stretch it’s legs into this next move higher in the PMs.
Looking forward to getting the union group in Cosala negotiated with and the Mexico operations moving forward. In addition, I’m really pleased to see that Eric Sprott’s investments up in Idaho at Galena will move the project forward by 2 years now that they can start investing in optimizing the mine, new equipment, staff changes, and more. They’ll be able to increase their Silver production from there now even at current prices, but will be much better off as Silver climbs to $20-$25.
Ex, Matt’s favorite BBB is a disappointment so far.
Can you give us som comforting words on it..
On another note, a Swedish gold bug has been pumping SVB like a madman. I bought but sold it since it’s been underperforming. I sold at 0,115 and now it’s at 0,065. I think they had a general strike at one of their biggest mines, that production was brought at a standstill, or something like that
Miklo, BBB is not my favorite but I do like it, obviously. Calling it a disappointment is premature in my opinion. As I’ve pointed out two other times, much of the selling pressure has come from private placement shares being sold by participants who prefer to limit their risk by holding only their warrants.
I am not worried about the company in the slightest since there is no reason it should perform well before silver breaks out.

Thanks Matt!
So unless silver takes off here we should anticipate further pressure on the stock?
Do you have a target to the downside?

I sold WDO at 9 before the downturn and wanted to buy it back cheaper.
Doc thought it could go lower than 8-ish.
I’ve been busy with other stuff and missed it’s nice rise. This seem to be a nice play and even a possible takeover.
Anyone here has it in their portfolio?
Yes, selling will persist as long as silver doesn’t break out but I think we have already seen the low. The lowest daily close so far is .15 cdn while the lowest weekly close has been .155 cdn. Markets are good at scaring out some players and wearing out others and this sector has done both lately but I think a breakout is coming very soon.

I’ve been in and out of Teranga a few times over the years. I first became a shareholder when they took over Gryphon Minerals, and then positioned in them for a few good trades but don’t currently have a position.
I’m hoping the work that Teranga is doing at Golden Hill has them buy up my little explorer/prospect generator (SWA) Sarama Resources that has many of the adjacent properties, and finally got out of their abusive relationship with Acacia so they are free to date another suitor now. Also, Semafo scooped up (SCA) Savary Gold last year who had a number of JV’s with Sarama all over that area of Burkina Faso, so now they are teamed up with Sarama on those. I could see both Teranga and Semafo moving all those projects forward, or maybe Endeavour Mining, B2Gold, or Resolute Mining could further expand into that area.
>> Check out this Map to see how Teranga’s Golden Hill property (their next development project into a mine) — and then look at Sarama’s Bondi, South Hounde’, and Karankasso surrounding it. Then also look at Endeavour and B2Gold’s proximity to those projects.

Thanks Doc. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on gold miners if we go lower in short term before breakout?
Guys!
I just would like to recommend visiting a site if you havent already.
The site nextbigtrade.com is great and it’s most about stage analysis.
It’s very interesting with different trading techniques in different stages of a stock.
Their Twitter feed is awesome.
Cheers!
