What Catches Your Eye At The Sprott Conference?
Tomorrow the Sprott Natural Resource Symposium commences tomorrow in Vancouver. Below is a link to a breakdown of exhibiting companies at the conference. I will be attending Tuesday and Wednesday so please let me know what companies you would like me to chat with.
Although I spend the vast majority of my time at these conferences hunting out companies if there is a speaker you think is very interesting please share those thoughts as well. I can be reached at Fleck@kereport.com.
The last time you said that, AMZN fell over 5% and is probably going to fall more than that this time.
That’s why I am saying buy the dips and only the dips. That 5% drop was a buying opportunity.
I believe in buying low, selling high. Gold is oversold.
Keeping things simple.
Look at the amazon chart, 5 year, people could be doing alot worse.
That’s a useless “rear-view mirror” perspective that would have applied equally to gold in the summer of 2011.
Instead, why not focus on the negative technical divergences and overbought readings along with the frothy “priced for perfection” valuation?
Matthew, I would not buy Amazon before the next crash, and probably not then either.
What do you think of IMO and BTI and MO now? I bought some IMO@28 in March and just sold it@33.72
Now I have some cash to buy more tobacco stocks if I get the urge. Thanks.
Bonzo, you were right to sell IMO – it looks ready for a break. The other two look better but I would wait for significant weakness.
Matthew, Thanks. I’ll keep my powder dry. Would you also sell ERF and DVN if you owned them?
I would. DVN seems to have more imminent downside than ERF but I think you’ll be able to buy both of them at a worthwhile discount to the current price relatively soon.
Thanks again. I’ll ponder this tonight.
It’s headed to infinity, so hardly priced for perfection.
Its kinda scary that you could be right spanky.
You’re both funny.
But not as funny as you are.
Boy, you’re witty!

Thanks Ex!
Good luck at the Sprott show sir!
As for the Sprott show there are a number of interesting companies and I own a handful of them like First Majestic, Avino, Excellon, Kootenay, McEwen, Maverix, EMX, UEC, Nexgen, Orezone, Bonterra/Metanor, etc….
** It may be nice to get an update on the proposed merger of Metanor and Bonterra – especially because of how unique it is that the explorer (Bonterra) is taking over the producer (Metanor), mainly to consolidate the land near Osisko’s Windfall Lake area. Since that is a hot area play, it would be nice to get an update from either company on their strategy as a combined entity.

There are also a number I’ve owned in the past like Sandstorm, Sabina, Avesoro, Aredea, Equinox, Golden Arrow, and Ivanhoe that are solid companies, but larger than most of the companies interviewed on the KER.
As for the Prospect Generators – It would be nice to hear an update on Predictive Discoveries, Lara Exploration, Riverside Resources, Transistion metals, Midland, or Millrock. Maverix is technically a PG, but really is more focused on being a Royalty company like EMX is. Both would be great to hear from though.
Regulus is an interesting Copper/Gold developer, and a number of newsletters have been pumping Chanka Copper.
Most of the companies on the list are higher caliber, so really any of them would be good to get an update on.
Some of the speakers are friends of the KER like the bearded one, Brent Cook, Adrian Day, John Kaiser, Byron King, Brien Lundin, Lobbo Tigre, and Rick Rule of course.
It may be nice to see about speaking with some of the other speakers though like James Grant, Grant Williams, or Matt Badiali.
Teeka Tiwari is supposed to be a real Crypto “guru” so if people want an update on the market he’s the guy.
It would also be cool to hear from some of the streamers on their perceptions on the financing cycle with Juniors/Mid-tiers. Getting Sean Roosen, Nolan Watson, or Paul Smallwood on would be neat, because they are the other option for companies that don’t want traditional debt or to raise through private placements.
Good suggestions Ex. I will keep an eye our for all of them and see what I can set up for the next couple weeks.
You always do a great job Cory.
I’m looking forward to hearing how the show goes in the midst of the current market with lower sentiment in the resource sector.
At least most of the companies at the Sprott show have been vetted, in the sense that Sprott did their due diligence before lending them capital. Lot’s of great speakers as well.
Hi Cory – If Excelcior Mining is there it would be great to get an update from them also.
Cory, I would appreciate it if you manage to have a talk with GSV or SBB. Thanks!
NATH in AMZN today. Remember, to buy the dip. All of them.
