Good presentation, Mr. Fleck!
– relevant slides
– actual financial advice, not bland generalities
– excellent speaking voice (no technical issues)
– you definitely knew about the companies you were talking about
– do watch your voice tone, as you bordered on monotonous in the middle, and at the end
Good one on artificial intelligence, from Henry Kissinger of all people:
The UNAbomber was saying the same thing decades ago.
Kissinger and Kaczynski, sittin’ in a tree…
I understand what jhpace said. However, don’t take it to heart. I used to read the news for the BBC and Independent radio stations in the UK. And I wasn’t great at the beginning. I was a bit flat because I just wanted to get it over with without making mistakes. Then in year three, I kind off chilled out and started enjoying it, it was like, they are still paying me so I must be doing something right. The best piece of advice I ever had was an old hand who said, everyone hates their own voice because your brain detunes it so you can listen to what someone else is saying i.e it always sounds flat to you. Anyway, Mr. Fleck your voice is absolutely fine, I think you’re just a little bit tense but only time can cure that – blimey it took me 2,000 news bulletins

That was really good Cory !
Nice to see you, for a change too π
Thanks Tad!
Well, GDX’s 200 dma crossed below its 600 dma, following in the steps of $HUI which did it a couple of months ago. The $XAU is days away from making this cross too. Although not exactly a hallmark of a bear market, the 200 dma is probably going to be extremely difficult to punch through now without a sharp drop first. Does anyone really see a smooth ramp upwards from here?
I don’t think the metals are going to do anything until early 2019 at the soonest. And it’s looking pretty grim for silver miners too as far as breaching the 2016 highs any time soon (as in this year). The possibility for a breakdown is obviously still there.
Also, $HUI:$INDU is close to making another multi-month low and will soon be close to the 2016 low if we break down just a bit. So much for the Dow doomsayers.
Nasty looking reversal candle in AXU so far today. Down she goes. Since gold’s drop I have been expecting AXU to test the 144 WMA at 1.28 first and then possibly the 233 WMA at 1.07.
sorry, 233 WMA is at 1.12.
I expect today’s little breakout in slv:gld ratio to be nothing more than a headfake, as always. While I am not sure if the april low get taken out any time soon, the ratio has probably peaked for a couple of months.
