Far Too Many Question Marks To Hold Risk On Assets Into The Weekend
Chris Temple joins me to wrap up the markets for this week. US stocks started off strong today but have steadily sold off throughout the day. PMs have garnered a buy as investors look to more protection. Still not breakouts but they will come.
Chris also has a special report on Uranium coming out shortly. If you want a free copy please email Chris (chris@nationalinvestor.com) or I (Fleck@kereport.com).

Mueller covered up the U 1 deal…..according Corsi……sgt report
Mueller with net worth of $18 Million…….on a govt salary…..lol
To get to Mueller’s position in the gooberment you’ve got to be corrupt. If you’re not a criminal you would never get that far along in the gooberment.
The Uranium One deal never removed 20% of the uranium from the US or any such thing. https://nationalinvestor.com/1361/clinton-uranium-one-scandal/
Hello Chris, ….where did you find the information, …..thank Jerry
I gather you didn’t read the article I linked to
oops……I did not scroll down far enough……sorry…….thanks for the follow up…
From the article……
I can’t speak to what the Clintons did or did not do in the Uranium One deal. We all know politics is a dirty business. I don’t have a political dog in the fight. But to me, the real scandal is how over the past years, U.S. government officials allowed themselves to be played like a fiddle by Vladimir Putin.
They’ve handed him more control over the U.S. power supply than he ever should have had. They tossed him a free trump card. It’s just a matter of time before he plays it.
That was a GREAT ARTICLE………Thanks Chris
Well,……I guess we will have to go after the 33,000 emails…….. 🙂
Hot tip………..Kat says……
If you are a value-focused contrarian investor and you have the testicular fortitude and patience to make an “unpopular” trade that has the potential to make incredible gains in the future, you should look into the uranium sector
Now Anfield Resources holds many of the US assets that were sold to Uranium One and it is like nobody cares that they don’t even hold most of those deposits anymore….

“Anfield Energy Inc. (AEC) (ANLDF) is pleased to announce that is has engaged BRS Engineering to complete a mineral resource report for the Taylor Ranch uranium project in Wyoming. The Taylor Ranch project was purchased from Uranium One Americas Inc. in September 2016 and is one of the 25 uranium mining properties acquired in the Black Hills, Powder River Basin, Great Divide Basin, Laramie Basin, Shirley Basin and Wind River Basin areas of Wyoming. Why doesn’t FBI raid the CLinton Foundation………..
Come on now OOTB, we all know that will never happen. It would be like auditing the Fed or letting in tour groups to see all the gold in Fort Knox. 😉
You are correct, …..because if they did, …..they would all be in jail…….
Agreed. That is why it won’t happen. 1 set of rules for the deep state, and another for everyone else.

Frankie Goes To Hollywood – Relax (Don’t Do It) – Music Video
Speak for yourself there Shad.
Frankly I’ve heard enough already about what can you really do about it.
Those of us of faith know that each and every one of us is capable of making a difference in this world.
JohnK – I can only speak for myself, so not sure what you meant by that. (?)
Sure everyone is capable of making a difference in the world. That has nothing to do with whether YOU are going to get them to audit the Fed, raid the Clinton Foundation, or give group tours to see the gold in Fort Knox.
Relax….
No I’m not going to relax and no your not going to tell me to relax.
What I meant is if you want something to happen, quit denying that it can’t happen.
Start writing letters to your Congressmen and Women.Start doing something that will move the ball. You can make it happen.
Quit trying to assert your will on other people just because you don’t agree with what they are saying.
“Wise people are not afraid to have their thinking or behavior corrected.
They accept discipline as an opportunity to grow in wisdom”
Yeah I can tell you aren’t going to relax. Maybe rotate over to the pot stocks for a while 🙂
Johnk – I didn’t assert my will on anyone, and didn’t ask you to correct my thinking or behavior. (there’s the pot calling the kettle black for ya).
I agree that everyone and anyone CAN make a difference, but choose to spend my time on what is probable and is the best use of my time. Let’s deal in the real here, posting on a resource blog about politics and firing off letters to a Congressman and Women(?) won’t ultimately change much. Unless you are sending off letter to mail order brides. (lol).
Have a good night man and May The Force Be With You!
For your information there Shad two weeks before Senator Franken from from Minnesota was accused of sexual abuse I wrote him a letter.
I don’t know if he read it or not,but that doesn’t matter.
The force is with me and that force is Jesus Christ as my savior.
I know you don’t like it when I reference my faith, that my friend would be your problem, not mine.
JohnK you know nothing about what I like or don’t like and couldn’t care less if you want to reference your faith. Don’t be so presumptive that you have all the answers.
I also couldn’t give a flip that you wrote Al Franken and no it doesn’t really matter to anyone here if he read it or not.
Nighty night!
Here is the letter :
Dear Mr Franken:
I am writing you to ask you if it isn’t time to start conducting yourself as an American as apposed to a Democrat or Republican?
I am becoming very concerned about the future that lies ahead for my Children and Grandchildren.
Isn’t it about time to start being honest with the voting public?
University of Alaska researcher Dr Leroy Hulsey has released a study disputing the NIST’s
report during the collapse of building seven during the 9/11 event.
With this information, isn’t it about time for another investigation? Perhaps a real one this time?
Everybody loves a good joke and I’m sure you do to.
What is the difference between the Warren Commission Report and the 9/11 Commission Report?
What they had for lunch.
Sincerely
See there my friend, you can make it happen.
Thanks for sharing the letter JohnK – I’m sure Al Franken got right on that 9/11 investigation after getting your letter and worked on being a better American.
Let me return the favor with these children’s letters to Santa and the replies back from Santa.

Shad:
You can post all the links you want.
You can make light of things all you want.I’m not here to please you.
Yes I realize I can post all the links I want, and they were inspirational “Let’s do it links”.
I never said you were here to please me or anyone else. (good grief!!)
JohnK- Where you come up with these positions you take or responses back to prior posts are simply mind boggling. You must be a joy to deal with in day to day life. 😉
If you don’t want a direct or silly response from me then quit reaching out to me with confrontational posts after I say something. Pretty simple. Even flat-earthers could put that together.
Al Franken may not have gotten on it but Senator Bloomenthall-Conn and Brett Eagleson whose father died during the 9/11 event are.
Lawyers and Victims families have filed a petition for a Federal Grand Jury Investigation in New York.
The Jasta suit against the Saudi’s is also making headway.
I cannot do it all my self, but collectively I can be a part.
You can make a difference.
I do respect that and wish you luck getting the answers you seek.
No luck needed.
What is needed is dedication, perseverance and faith.
Answers are not what I seek. What I seek is a better tomorrow for my Kids and Grandkids.
I also know that if I don’t start doing something nothing will ever happen.
I wish you all h luck in the world with your letters John K.
I gotta say guys, I got a gigle or two outta that, havnt got as good a laff since Bird left.
John, Ex is not a “bad guy”.
He wants the leters to have an effect too.
(and I dont even gotta ask him)
Thanks b. Yes, just having a little fun, as sometimes people take themselves too seriously.
In all honesty, I do believe that every action creates a ripple and that letters, especially if they are pouring in from large numbers of constituents, can make a difference.
Here are some good thoughts as an olive branch of peace on the topic:

Does writing your congressman or senator really do any good, or is it merely a diversionary smokescreen to make the average citizen believe that they have some voice in the legislative process?
Shad:
You can post all the links you want.
You can make light of things.
I don’t answer to you.
Yes I realize I can post all the links I want, and they were inspirational “Let’s do it links”.
I never said you answered to me or anyone else. (good grief!!)
JohnK- Where you come up with these positions you take or responses back to prior posts are simply mind boggling. You must be a joy to deal with in day to day life.
b:
Go back and look at the start of this thread.
All I did was took exception to we.
John – you take exception to things people say most of the time.
The real issue was you took a lighthearted and general comment I made to OOTB and decided to insert yourself and make it a personal swipe. Then you went on to lecture me about how everyone can make a difference and got on your high horse about being a person of faith and how you had heard enough….blah blah blah.
Nobody asked to hear about your letters, and I think most reasonable people would agree that anyone can make a difference. Spare me the lectures and I’ll spare you the links.
Seriously, don’t take yourself or your view so seriously….
Once again Shad I don’t need you to tell me what to do.
Next time you might think twice when you use “we”
No I probably won’t think anything about it the next time I use “We”, because this time 1 person didn’t make a difference. Sorry pal.

We are the World
Shad:
Pretty touchy aren’t you?
Ha! You’re the one that got your panties in a bunch over the word “we”. 🙂
None of this conversation would have happened if it wasn’t you that got so touchy. (how’s that for irony).
I’m done with the conversation though as I’m sure WE have started to bore people.
Time to go and make a real difference in the world by doing something productive – not by blogging for action or sending letters. Peace be with you.
Shad:
You could have ignored me.
LOL – a hilarious piece of advice from the guy that “took exception to the word we”.
Goodmorning Shad:
You know I appreciate all you do. You also know that very few people can hold a torch to you when it comes to knowledge of the mining companies.
With that being said I will tell you what is going on here. The other day I read a post that said “Maybe I should be like Ex and stay out of it.” You have to realize the impact you carry here. When I hear people say they should stay out of things it bothers me.This is exactly why we are in the moral position we find ourselves today. When you called me out about NASA and the Moon landing what was your purpose? Does it bother you that much when someone questions the status quo? I’ve heard you say that you wish they would keep religion out of it. There are a lot of people that wish the same thing, fortunately or unfortunately I am not one of them.
For me it is interesting that I find myself here at the K.E Report. This site has some of the most intelligent people, something that is not easy to find these days.
You may think that things don’t make a difference but they do.Everything you do does make a difference.
Now let’s make some money so we can give it back to those less fortunate than ourselves.
Not to mention traveling and playing Golf.
Fair enough JohnK and as I’ve stated a few times up above, I agree with you that one person can make a difference, and that all actions have a reverberating effect on the world.
I’m not suggesting not to take action, but there are also fool’s errands, and I believe that posters that have wailed on and on for decades about auditing the FED, or if there is Gold in Fort Knox, or that the Clinton crime family should be raided, are deluding themselves that anything is going to get resolved about them. Their time and energy could be put to much better use doing something that will actually make the world a better place like volunteering at a homeless shelter, or habitat for humanity, soup kitchen, battered women shelter, etc…
As we discussed when dealing with the was the Moon landing real discussion or the 911 discussion or the JFK assignation, etc… I agree with you that the boilerplate narrative is garbage, and there are many questions that would be great to get answered, but let’s deal in the real here – they aren’t going to get answered. I went around discussing 911 with people, hosted seminars, and really tried to dig in deep for years after the event, and realized all that was happened was it was pissing off most of the sheeple. Most people don’t really care about the truth, and they’ve already made up the minds and even if the newspapers ran a big story laying out the whole sinister plot, many would just be oblivious to it and move on to the next Stormy Daniels story of the day.
If you want to keep digging into the Moon landing, 911, JFK, or whatever go ahead and knock yourself out. However, keep in mind you started tagging almost every conversation with anyone that disagreed with you with….. “Oh yeah, and I bet we landed on the moon right?” or “Oh right, and I bet 911 happened like they reported it in the main stream media”. It’s fine once in a while but you wouldn’t stop hounding everyone about every day and wasn’t relevant to resource stocks or even most of the political discourse on this site.
As for the religious debates or people having to constantly proclaim their spirituality, it gets old and tiresome and creates endless judgments, arguing, and people getting their features ruffled.
Think back to what the site used to be like with Heavy Hitter preaching at everyone about hellfire and the end the world every single day a dozen times a day. How did that go over? How about all of Birdman’s nasty comments about priest, pedophiles, and attacks on the Catholic church, and how many people got upset about that. How about Franky’s anti-Christian videos and how many vocally complained because it conflicted with their personal religious views and they banned him like 3 different times.
Is any of that helpful. Also, people are quick to defend Christian ideals here, but they aren’t very receptive to other religions like Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc… If people were constantly quoting from the Upanishads or Bhagavad Gita or Epic of Gilgamesh or Tripitaka every day, most here would complain, because it doesn’t conform with their religious world view. So how do they think other feel when they post Bible passages that may not conform with others world view.
There is also all the division & polarity thinking caused by such righteousness and confidence that one particular religion is right, truth, and justified. Here’s a clue, it is all a matter of opinion about their individual faith. Nobody has the truth for anyone else no matter how they trumpet on about it.
Heck, even most Christians can’t even find much common ground before getting into which particular sect is the most “right” or which version of the Bible is the right one. 🙂
Then there is the whole discussion around anyone that questions Zionist agendas and all the labeling as “anti-Semites” and misunderstanding that then get into the whole Zionist philosophy versus Jewish religion debate. It is so exhuasting and doesn’t have jack squat to do with all the show sponsors that are funding the KER.
Lastly, I’m all for being prosperous and giving back to those less fortunate, but don’t feel it needs to be broadcasted on a public internet forum about economics and the resource sector. I know your hearts in the right place though and it is clear that you care about others and making the world a better place.
JohnK – May you have prosperity in life in wealth, health, family, and happiness.
A couple of very astute comments Excelsior.
By the way, do your have a formal connection with http://www.ceo.ca?
Shad:
I will be the first to admit that I went overboard in the past.
Besides the volunteer work I do for 9/11 Truth,I also do volunteer work in my community.
I recently did a testimonial to over 50 Alcoholics and drug addicts.
I write letters to the President, Congressman and who ever else I think might listen.
I practice what I preach. I’m not looking for praise here.
I will say that I am a Religious person. I do believe in a higher power and have accepted Jesus as my savior. I also wear that on my sleeve. I am the last person to force Religion on someone. I try have respect for people and their beliefs. With that being said,I am not ignorant towards the dogma and delusive doctrines that are out there.
I have spent a fair amount of time educating myself as to history, I am not ready to acquiesce to those who require conscription to their scions.
I believe we have reached a point in history where it is “sine qua non” to stand up and exert your will to try and make this a better place against the despots that force their precepts on this world.
We have to be the ones that make the difference.
We cannot wait for someone else to do it.
We need your help.
thanks John K
JohnK – Well, I certainly respect your resolve to stand up, be involved, take action and make a difference. The world needs more people like you.
For the record I do take action physically, verbally, and by sending out funds to make a difference in a number of areas of life & community that I believe make a difference. I spent my youth in service through the scouts, my church, Key cllub/Kiwanis, and just volunteering wherever I could. My family got very involved for a time in Habitat for Humanity, spearheading local toys for tots campaigns, working at food pantries, and supporting mission work. I’ve never stopped trying to make a difference or the world a better place since then.
Later on life I decided to study in a general sense most of the world religions and have all the sacred texts on my bookshelves and have learned from each wisdom tradition. After multiple decades of study I realize the Carly Jung is correct and that I can’t escape growing up as a Westerner and the pervasive Judeo-Christian belief system, but like him found value/wisdom/perspective in studying Hinduism/Buddhism/Jainism/Zoroastrianism/Kabbalism/Sufism and other both orthodox religious systems, and the more interesting and universal “mystic” paths of each tradition. I even gave time to the splinter groups from some world religions like 7th Day Adventists / Mormonism / Scientology / Eckankar / Ishaya Foundation / Krishna Consciousness / Course of Miracles / the Urantia organization / Gnosticism / and many branches of the New Age Movement.
All these years later I would describe myself as a deeply spiritual person but not a religious person. In addition, I absolutely respect everyone’s views/vantage points/and beliefs (as long as they don’t start cramming them down everyone’s throats or assuming their perspective is the only one worth considering and being dismissive of everyone else’s beliefs).
In my experience there are certain religious zealots out there that have tunnel-vision, which is fine, but they steam-roll over anyone that doesn’t think the same way that they do and get really feisty and insulting towards others about things. We’ve seen that here on this blog over and over and over again. It does far more damage than good in most cases, causes huge disagreements where people go storming off never to return, and surely lacks the love, forgiveness, temperament, and unity that most religions claim to adhere to.
I turn a blind eye to it most times, but seriously does anyone think they are going to convert someone to their religious way of thinking or worldview on an online economics forum?
If not then leaving the constant preaching out of most posts seems to be the least confrontational and most respectful approach. If people want to quote a passage that they think is applicable then it is usually well placed (unless they are quoting out of context and all the time trying to put another person in their place with a religious sound byte).
As for Political discussions – they are just as polarizing . There dozens and dozens of people that have written to me privately over at ceo.ca that mention they won’t post here on the KER because of how right-wing wacked out most of the contributors are here. Some don’t like the “conspiracy theories” constantly trumpeted about, and just want to discuss investing, economics, and the resource sector.
Honestly, I can’t say I blame any of them, because if one pans back from their own views and considers how listeners/readers feel that come across some of the political/social topics raised on this site, it is about 2-3 dozen people with some of the more extreme views on politics and society on any forum. Personally, I love the group of folks here and find people very intelligent, mentally stimulating, and hilarious. However, I could see where the politics that Big Al likes to discuss on here is actually counterproductive with the economics and resource discussions that Cory works on day in and day out, which compliments the show sponsors. There are no religious or political show sponsors, but dozens of mining & energy companies that have been sponsors over the years. I always try to keep that in mind as to who the “target audience” really is the daily editorials and weekend shows. My personal belief is that the political/religious debates are best kept to different threads, and while they are wildly more popular with more comments, they are not helpful for growing a real base of interested resource investors to this site, and do more to run good people off than to attract new people. But hey, it’s Big Al’s site and he’ll do what he wants and discuss whatever he wants to and I respect that aspect of things.
JohnK – I’m actually far more interested than I may let on regarding the 911 truth movement, or moon landing / NASA corruption, or JFK assisignation, or false flag operations, or for that matter even wilder ideas on aliens/crop circles / HAARP /ancient astronaut theory/ MK Ultra / The Philadelphia Experiment/ etc… but I just don’t feel that this forum is the best venue to discuss those ideas. For most casual readers, they would just consider those ideas crazy, and dismiss anything said by those contributors or the site in general from that point forward.
My interest in posting here at the KER is mainly in resource and energy stocks, because there really aren’t that many outlets for quality discussions on Jr miners on the web. In contrast, there are already thousands of sites dedicated to religion/politics/alternative views/conspiracy theories on the web that cater to those kinds of topics & discussions.
My interest in posting here is to get a dialogue going around Jr miners that we can invest in and make money in, to do more good work in the world (and provide for our families without toiling for others in their companies). The other side of the economics discussion is also how to prepare for the coming turbulence in the financial system, how to protect ones assets, and how to navigate retirement and pass some on to the next generations.
I’d like to see the KER grow in the number of posters and comments and ideas around these comments, but if we are still debating Jews vs Zionists, 911, Moon Landings, Trump/Clinton/Obama/Russians/etc…. then most will just steer clear of this site, and I personally think that is a shame.
This is why I’ve spoken out against covering those topics so often here in the past because of all the people that contact me that mention the same thing over and over again. They are afraid to post here with a different view point politically or people will rip their heads off. They think political discussions here go way off the rails and they don’t want to be associated with it or hear it. They feel the resource discussion are great, but then the blog will be filled with insane political/religious comments and they decide to abstain from ever posting as a result. It’s a shame because as a result it is less of a forum attracting new contributors, and really more of a club of old guys (hardly any women) that just discuss the same topics day in and day out and block out any of the new growth.
I’ve honestly considered just moving all my posts over to ceo.ca and just popping in from time to time to say hi to everyone for these exact reasons.
Regardless, I respect your heart, your willingness to stand up, and your desire to make the world a better place and again wish the world had more people like you in it. God Speed.
thank you Excelsior.
Thank you for creating such an interesting platform Big Al, and you know I appreciate all that you and Cory do. I’ve just never been a fan of the political/religious debates on an economic forum sponsored by mining companies, but it is your site sir and clearly the political segments are the ones that get the most comments. Part of that is because of how emotional people get about those topics though, the arguing, and thus why people leave with their feathers ruffled, or choose not to post at all.
_______________________
No I don’t have any formal connection to ceo.ca, but I personally post there more often now, because my main focus for financial blogging is on investing in resource and energy stocks. They have a different layout where one can tag posts similar to Twitter with a hashtag # and it groups those topics, sectors, or company comments together in a thread. I like being able to dig a deep well on a specific company or commodity, without seeing a few dozen political comments mixed in with those discussions, so it is more conducive to learning/sharing on a specific topic IMO.
My comments up above about so many people reaching out to me on ceo.ca relates to the private message feature there, where people can reach out to one another and not be on the public forum. There are a significant number of people that write me to say they listen to the resource segments and scan through some of the comments, but are scared to death to post anything related to politics because of the extreme views many hold and how quickly some will take a swipe at others with a differing view.
That was the point I was trying to make to JohnK up above, but most people that are passionate on a topic or their belief lack self-awareness as to how that may be received by those that don’t share those beliefs.
My only point has been for years that if it’s an economic show with Jr resource companies as sponsors then that should be the target audience. If it is a political show with right-wing conservative and Christian bias, then maybe the show sponsors should more adequately reflect that focus.
Most of the resource investors I encounter over at ceo and strike up a conversation with privately ask me how I can stand posting about resource stocks over here at the KER when it is like a crazed political mob most of the time.
I let them know that I love the guys here and that it is a very intellectually stimulating group, full of energy & humor, and spirited discussions. Still they usually reply back that the politics is too over the top for them and they steer clear as a result. Keep in mind, ceo.ca is something like 75% Canadian posters, and they are more liberal /socialist / PC by default, and don’t jive with the conservative, individual liberties, libertarian, Austrian economics ideology as much as US listener/readers. Many of them also beat up on the USA all day in their political discourse and have a chip on their shoulders against Americans, so that rubs me the wrong way too. It’s difficult to find common ground these days in politics, and that is why sometimes I prefer focusing on the investing segments where it is less polarized and emotional.
I know people here love to debate the politics, but it runs a lot of newbies away, and has turned into a forum of the same 2-3 dozen posters for the last few years as a result. Maybe that is the destiny for the KER though to unite these few dozen people into a bizarre family. 🙂
Just my 2 cents.

Big Al = I should add that there are some people watching from afar that are just amused by the entire spectacle of the weekend shows, so the good news is that people are listening and reading.
Here’s a comment that was posted publicly at ceo.ca today so I feel OK sharing it:

Brother Nathaniel sure tells it like it is…
Agreed Ebolan.
At some point you have to question what is really happening here. Brother Nathaniel has a pretty good grasp of things when it comes to President Trump. At the same time one must remember H Clinton was the alternative.
We are being controlled by the Zionists,Communists. Our own Political system as you stated is going to have to pay the piper when the debts come due.

I switched to a trading mentality a few years back. I play the smaller scale waves so I will be on the right side of the larger scale ones. Hopefully.
The way I approach it, yes, I do have notions of the move I’m hoping for when I catch a reversal, based on technicals. But it’s also very much about constantly reevaluating based on the price action.
Commenting on this stuff is a bit tricky. I like to point out developments of interest, but I don’t want it to get mixed up with trading advice.
GH:
I always think back when I was first trading. Twice I rode crashes down with out a clue.
I always like to raise the caution flag, not for myself but in the hopes someone reading the post might be helped.
Maybe I’m just naive.
Bear in mind, Matthew is a far better technical analyst than I am 😉 . I’ve still got quite a ways to go.
But I guess I would be comfortable saying this:
I think we are near or at a major long-term buy. When a chart breaks out of a triangle like GDXJ has, it is not uncommon for it to make a nice initial move, but then to falter and backtest the triangle before launching in earnest. That scenario would be compatible with a mid-summer to fall major long-term buy point. However, there are no guarantees. Maybe there won’t be a backtest, and this latest low was the ideal buy point. Too early to say, still. That’s why I say I wouldn’t want to be out right now.
Once the next major move up begins, how to play it? For those who haven’t already learned to trade, that seems like a bad time to start. Probably best to focus on trying to ride the bull and focus on trying to get the next big move, a few years in the future, right. Could be a wild ride. I will be trying to time the major sub-waves.
Yes, caveat emptor. Don’t get in over your head. Do your learning with small money.
Riding crashes down is the worst. It’s very important to have a clear notion of what one is expecting, and what would invalidate that expectation, in order to cut losses short. It can be very hard to do, especially when you’ve been caught flat-footed and already have more of a paper loss than you want to accept. But better to cut off a hand than lose an arm.
GH:
Mathew has helped me bunches. I have a lot of respect for his abilities. I will also say that he took the time to explain concepts of value to me that has helped me immensley.
Here is a good comparison chart that is the inverse to your GDXJ chart.

I think the long term low for gold stocks versus the general markets has recently been confirmed with a higher low.
I always liked the example of the returns possible from just a few well-timed long-term trades. I forget the exact dates, but say, gold in 1974, switch to stocks in 1980, switch back to gold in 2000.
I think now is a good time to switch from stocks to gold/gold stocks, for those who want to think of their investments only every now and then.
But yes, good to be wary of what might happen in a crash, consider different options for protecting oneself–stoplosses, hedges, diversification, etc.
Could get a knee jerk pop in the metals on monday on the back of Trumps missile strike on Syria. Even if its shortlived fear driven type sentiment.
Oz:
Fear and unknowns are shorting opportunities.Even if the metals do pop, realistically how are you going to trade them.
When dealing with metals,I believe looking at them from an investment perspective is a better perspective. Think of a 10% position of your total net worth in Precious Metals.
Unfortunately there is never a direct correlation with the P.M’s and the P.M stocks.
Think back to the last time you started seeing swings in the conventional markets such as we have now.Anytime you start seeing 600 point swings in the market caution is required.
The comparison is like driving a large boat in the Ocean, when the water starts getting rough it’s time to slow down.
If your looking to trade I would suggest trading volitility.
Not a trader at all John, was just making an observation. I agree, investment perspective is safer than trading perspective.
Hi Oz:
I’ve been really burned in the past listening to the wrong people.
Gold and Silver feel like a coiled spring to me.Every time they start moving, selling comes in to thwart the rally.
Take notice of the decreasing demand at the U.S Treasury auctions. I think this will be a good indicator when we get the break out in the precious metals.
Cheers John, thanks for the pointer. Yes a coiled spring is a good analogy for the PMs at this time. Hopefully that coiled spring works in a positive manner and unloads a nice price breakout this year sometime.
If Russia cuts off uranium supply, is it not probable that the US would declare a national emergency and use force majeure to take back the Uranium One deal?
