Miners getting sucked down with the general market yet again. Tails I win heads you lose.

Thanks for the lesson on technical charting you two. Appreciate the way you try new formats. Makes for a lively listen.
Our friend Zuck is taking it in the shorts again….FB off 8.5%. Tech stocks like MU hit hard today. Really believe we’ve seen a major turn in markets although many are not willing to go easily……they will eventually! JMO

Sage Gold Inc. (SGX) (SGGDF) Update & Review:

    > The Bottom Line

“After reviewing this story, I picked up some shares for my personal account because I’m convinced that management is on the right track, not only in moving toward production on a small scale but also with its exploration efforts to scale up longer term. Murphy’s Law at work, resulting in delays along with a weak gold market took Sage Gold’s shares to depressed levels that led to a pessimistic mood on my part, beyond what now seems justified upon review of this story. I do remain somewhat concerned, however, about scale of this operation and will be watching for indications of prospects for growing production. For now, however, with the stock down by less than half of its peak price last October, I think upside prospects from this level for a double or better are very good.”

Point of interest: Doc, Cory and anyone else who uses BBs ought to look at the 2-3 yr./weekly on JNUG. It’s about to start coughing because of the constriction!!!

    Mar 27, 2018 27:52 PM

Doc, what level do you think Avino and Mirasol will get to by May, what would be a good entry point?

Pardu, I hope to before May/June get ASM around $1.20 which will sit on the weekly lower BB. I then have a chance to exit it if it compromises the lower BB in an aggressive manner. MRZ.V—-I hope to add to my position between $1.50–$1.75—of course the lower the better. I’ll make a decision when I think the stock has bottomed again.

(KNT) (KNTNF) K92 Mining has really started to turn things around at their mine with the expansion of the recent exploration success at the Kora zone the share price is just starting to run. A contributing factor is that Clarus Securities just initiated coverage on them again, and they made the rounds at all the recent mining shows with a positive growing interest.

An interesting comment today from Bryan over at ceo.ca:

@bslusarchuk – “I read with interest the discussion this morning on financing availability. We are finding, over the past year, that there is abundant financing available for exploration. And that the most heated moments during financing discussions have been regarding allocations and cutbacks of allocations. If issuers are having a tough time financing right now, I would presume it is either because of project quality (in the view of investors) or a bad pricing decision in terms of the price the issuer is going to market with.”

“Issuers might not be getting financings off at the valuations they desire, but there is no shortage of capital for good projects (base metals, precious metals and of course electrification theme metals). Anecdotally, I’ve seen evidence of this strong environment via financings completed by $FCC (cobalt), $PERU (copper) and $KNT (gold).”

Ex, No doubt here KNT is way undervalued.

        Mar 27, 2018 27:46 PM

I’ve been acquiring it over the last year but really beefed up my position since tax loss season and it’s starting to payoff. Even though the move lately has been impressive compared to many gold Jrs, it is just getting started and has a long way to run from here.

The bulk of the buying in Irving Resources is done at the ask, there are so few shares tradable that it just keeps bumping it’s head on the ceiling. Maybe we should buy Irving a neck brace so it doesn’t get whiplash. LOL! DT

Looks like gold is going to find a daily cycle low on or just after the April employment report next week. That would put the DC at around 40 days, which has been the norm lately.

The question will be, is that going to also mark the intermediate cycle low. If yes, that will mean a short IC of about 16 or 17 weeks. Not unheard of, but certainly not the norm. One would expect the IC to run an additional 10-12 weeks, which would mean a final low in June.

If it does run until June, I worry about silver and the longer term implications near term damage will suggest.

    Mar 28, 2018 28:06 AM

Doc, this is one day after your report but wondering about EXN. The Bollinger Bands look like they are widening again which could imply that the recent drop could be related to the narrower of the bands that needed to be addressed. Would EXN now fall into the ASM and May timeframe.

      $EXN $EXLLF Excellon Resources – Mexico’s highest grade #Silver #Producer

“During 2017, we achieved ~dry mining conditions for the first time since the earliest days of Platosa,” stated Brendan Cahill, President and Chief Executive Officer.

“The stage is now set to ramp #production up to optimal levels and begin realizing Platosa’s full potential. During Q4 2017 and into Q1 2018, we resolved a few of the outstanding challenges to increased #production. Most importantly, we drove the 730 and 725 ramps below Rodilla and 623 mineralization to set up more productive cut-and-fill mining of those mantos in the coming weeks.”

DGHH, it appears there will be some downward pressure on EXN for awhile. I would say the odds are now for EXN to fall into that time frame. This last move below the 100 day SMA has been significant and that means there will be pressure on the stock for the foreseeable future. I wouldn’t be surprised if it sees 1.30 on the Toronto exchange. At that point I would look at the technicals again.

yen looks like it has topped. As it falls it should provide some upward pressure on the stock market and downward pressure on commodities, PMs and miners.

    Mar 28, 2018 28:23 AM

Yen rallied straight up for 4 months and the miners didn’t catch any lasting upside at all. Now that yen has top, you can expect PMs and the miners to get crushed.

GCC hasn’t gone anywhere in 3 years.

The commodity complex (looking at the CRB, which weighs oil more heavily) is basically the same level it was in 1973.

And yet all we hear is that inflation is right around the corner. Oh my.
