A Bad Close For Stocks, A Worse Day For L-T Yields

Cory
March 27, 2018

The Last hour was bad for the US markets but the whole day was horrible for the 10 year yield. Closing below 2.8% brings 2.6% into play and makes everyone reconsider the US growth and global growth story. Chris Temple joins me to wrap up the markets with comments on how concerning the breakdown was.

I am a doubter, some may say a serious doubter. This bull market is not destined for a longer life. Inflation and the budget that was just passed is serious trouble. It is madness out there. The stock market is registering the change of uncertainty, down two days up one. Most investors care little for worth, they know little about their investments. If the market goes up it’s a good time to buy and when it really starts to tank can you get out fast enough. No, say’s the investor, I am bullish on America. People are crazy who think that they can figure out who owns what in this world of derivatives. Even the companies involved in selling securities don’t have a clue about which company can be trusted. 200 day test and failure this time should be next for the s&p and then the bottom could fall out. 200 week is at 2204. Vix could easily get to 50. I went back in heavy to energy from 100% cashand sold xop with minor gains yesterday as it did not follow the market up and sold my last big position in BP today for a significant gain while the market was still up and oil was having trouble with the breakout I expected.

Thanks for your perspective, Paul L.

I went long JNUG from 13.37 last week. The bounce hasn’t followed through, but my stop hasn’t been triggered yet. Charts still haven’t taken on a negative posture, to my eye, so I’ll be interested to see what the next bounce on the 10 minute charts brings.

Europe closed on a high when US was still rising. Should be a slam-dunk tomorrow on European markets.

      Mar 27, 2018 27:28 PM

What you mean to say is volatility will be a slam dunk tomorrow on European markets. You can’t have an era of prolonged prosperity when the markets ride a roller coaster of uncertainty.DT

Expert Jennetta on the Real Truth of the Global Uranium Market

    March 27, 2018 – InvestorIntel

“The current truth of the uranium market is, it is an incredibly tough space. It is incredibly misunderstood. For the average investor trying to find out exactly what is going on is like a needle in a haystack. It is hard.” states Andrea Jennetta, President and Founder of International Nuclear Associates Inc., in an interview with InvestorIntel’s Peter Clausi.”

Monthly chart shows that a normal.382 contraction from 2009 low puts /ES mini only back at 2033…That would be healthy and allows for a continued run vs. a parabolic failure end pattern…This is bullish, yet…

Jim Comey: We need you to intervene in the 2016 election again.”

Newly released text messages between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page just made a disturbing correlation between James Comey’s re-opening of Hillary’s email investigation and the FBI’s probe into Trump/Russia collusion.

    From The Daily Wire

Newly-revealed text messages between anti-Trump FBI agents show that the agents talked about former FBI Director James Comey intervening in the 2016 presidential election.

The texts between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, two high-level FBI agents, appear to show they were discussing and laughing about Comey getting involved in the election just days after the FBI opened a counterintelligence investigation spying on members of the Trump campaign.

Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) highlighted that the text from Lisa Page to Peter Strzok on July 28, 2016, said “Ha. First line made me smile.” The text cited an article where the first line in the article was “Potentially unpleasant news for Jim Comey: We need you to intervene in the 2016 election again.”

Meadows notes that the timeline involving this new text message makes this latest revelation particularly disturbing as it came just days after Strzok opened an FBI counterintelligence investigation into the Trump campaign in late July 2016.

Meadows says that this latest revelation is just the latest example of why there needs to be a second special counsel appointed to investigate the people who are doing the investigating in the Trump-Russia investigation, which, by the way, is supposedly no longer focused on collusion, according to a report from Axios.
