Click download link to listen on this device: Download Show
In the second hour we continue with KER Politics and interviews focusing on the upcoming Trump presidency. Optimism abounds with predictions on the future of the US economy and Trump’s relations internationally. Recently Russia has been in the news a lot and we definitely have some comments about what the main stream media is saying.
- Segment 5: Jeff Deist, President of the Mises Institute kicks off KER Politics discusses the upcoming Electoral Collage vote on Monday.
- Segment 6: We continue our chat with Jeff Deist focused on Trump running the Country vs running his business empire.
- Segment 7: We get opinions about the next four year under Trump from two successful capitalists Bill Howard and Jeff Pontius.
- Segment 8: Co-Founder of Peak Prosperity Chris Martenson discusses Russia and the optimism for the upcoming Trump Presidency.

I agree with Big Al (seg 7) that sentiment is important.
We certainly need infra-structure improvements at every level. Much of the transportation system has deteriorated to almost third world standards.
Most notably, for example, airports and ports. But even roads and bridges, more a state or local problem, are in serious decay.
I worry, however, if we can continue kicking the can down the road before the debt bomb explodes.
It also worries me that some of the people nominated by Trump are heavily supported by the Republican crony establishment; hardly draining the swamp! But maybe that is what is needed for a nomination to get approved.
Hillary Blames Huma Abedin for E-mail Scandal
Conclusion – The Democrats tried rigging the whole game by outspending Trump about 2 to 1. Additionally, 77% of the press on Trump was negative whereas about 99% endorsed Hillary. In her mind, she should have won. She had all the cards in order. She cannot accept that there is a civil uprising against corruption spanning across the world. This is not just a USA trend.
Armstrong says some good things, but he’s a disinformation agent when it counts.
http://www.jsmineset.com/2015/11/06/a-tool-a-fool-or-rewriting-history/
Sinclair/Bill Holder vs Armstrong…..
I pointed this out a couple of days ago…which since I follow both….some one is wrong
Armstrong is wrong about a lot but his devout followers don’t know enough to see that.
“If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit.” ― W.C. Fields.
Armstrong has legitimately dazzled them with past calls but people seem to conflate his technical expertise with expertise in all subjects. Worse, they also conflate that expertise with honesty.
Matthew , I thought you liked Armstrong
Honesty is in short supply these days
Not only that one of them is wrong, but Armstrong, before or now, is wrong. He ought to explain his change in views.
About gold being devalued in 1934, he is just plain wrong, and he’s too intelligent for it to be an error.
Was it the email scandal that caused Hillary to lose?
Or was it the fact that she sold favors to enrich herself and operated a FAKE charity to avoid paying taxes?
Hillary for Jail in 2017…….Drain the swamp.
I believe that Trump will have to follow through with Hillary for jail.
He has donated to her in the past, so I do not expect that he will push for any investigation. I hope I am wrong and the new Attorney General will act.
The people must demand it!!
Liberals will convince themselves it is just nasty republicans being vindictive.
But who knows how many cockroaches, D & R, will get caught up in scandal, once the facade cracks.
drain the swamp………….
Andrew, HC will never serve a day in jail. The certainty of that is right up there with death and taxes.
If Obama pardons Hillary Trumps hands will be tied but if she isn’t pardoned I believe Trump will assign a special prosecutor to look into her dealings and she will be made to pay the price. Her crimes are too big to be swept aside. DT
George Soros Is Funding Facebook’s “Third-Party Fact Checking” Organization Targeting “Fake News”
Yesterday, Facebook announced plans to use a “third-party fact checking organization” known as The Poynter Institute to flag “fake news.” Imagine our complete shock when we discovered that the funding sources behind Poynter included the who’s who of Billionaire leftists like George Soros.
On Trump having a business in a foreign country – you cannot detach the bureaucracy from unseen internal agendas. That’s been our government for the last century or two. Openness and impartiality is impossible. Transparency and bleach would be nice. But I would rather have a real-world businessman than an idealist politician or intellectual.
If Trump can “fire everybody” on Day One of his term, start auditing each and every black-ops department, and audit the Federal Reserve, we might get the real story, the real truth, in a year or two. His current State Dept lineup is not very encouraging on that front, especially with the included bankers.
The problem is that Trump cannot fire everyone at Day one and start an audit of black ops…..
Unless you believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone.
Haven’t listened to show yet, but if Oblahma and the dems are saying there’s proof the Russians hacked the elections, the real question is “Why can our elections be hacked in the first place?”
They clearly weren’t hacked by the Russians……Trump gained votes in 2 of the 3 states that were recounted.
On the other hand, Democrats are KNOWN for promoting improper voting.
E.g the Chicago Machine has always produced votes of “dead” people and ridiculous numbers from nursing and retirement homes.
There was clear evidence the Democrats managed to get JFK elected by such improper procedures.
This time some precincts of Detroit, not only had 100% democratic votes, but in two precincts it was reported the number of votes exceeded the number of registered voters.
It is curious how often Democrats are observed to accuse the opposition of exactly what they (Democrats) had been doing.
I finally found common ground with Jeff Deist’s assessment of Justin Trudeau. Our media is controlled by the left and most people here like Trudeau not because of his substance but rather his good lucks and pleasing personality which would make him a good salesman but little else.
Trump has his hands full when he enters office. This time wars have impoverished Americans and they are no longer economic masters of The World. He will have to show real signs at the very start that he can pump life into the economy and that the stock market is not gambling away business profits. He has a plan, he will implement it and if anyone can make America a success again I truly believe he is the right person at the right time for the job. If Trump can pull this off the rest of The World will also benefit, remember we still live in a global village.
I truly hope you’re right, DT, though I consider the odds poor.
BTW, I did eventually respond to you yesterday.
Thanks for the feedback GH, I was interested in what sparked your comment, I enjoyed reading your response(s). DT
NEW YORK (AP) — The Trump Organization has canceled a licensing deal for a hotel in Azerbaijan and is taking steps to do the same for a project in neighboring Georgia, part of recent efforts by the president-elect to extricate his business from thorny relationships five weeks before he takes office.
Both projects either involved or were associated with people tied to politics, partnerships that could have raised problems once Donald Trump becomes president.
United States: With an empty data calendar, attention will be focused on Janet
Yellen’s commencement address at the University of Baltimore. Yellen’s address
comes at 13:30 ET and will focus on “the state of the labor market,” but given that it is
a commencement speech it is likely to be light on substance. Another event that
warrants mention is the Electoral College vote to confirm Donald Trump as the
incoming US President. While 29 states require their electoral college voters to
nominate the candidate their state won, the remaining 21 allow “faithless electors” to
break that pledge. This is relatively rare and while there has been talk of faithless
electors in 2016, only 1 EC voter has publicly indicated he will break from the his
colleagues (36 would need to break away to force a tie). Therefore, it is a nearcertainty
that Donald Trump will be confirmed by the Electoral College, though we will
not know the official results until ballots are counted in Congress on January 6th.
You know real news is not fully reported in the US, Paul L!
Not that I totally trust the left-wing UK Guardian, but….

I enjoy Jeff Deist .. That said i wonder how he or anyone can still be calling for small government and less government — when all the other big countries [Russia ,China, Brazil] are increasing government activity and size. Running a vast , populated country like USA like its just Belgium is not practical. best of health and wealth to all S
There is a law of diminishing, or even negative, returns to government complexity.
As a starting place, the principle of subsidiarity ought to be taken seriously.

How Professors are Engaging in Undermining the Country in Collages
A student in California video taped what his professor was saying in class and how they are trying to create a revolution. He actually said that the people who voted for Trump were engaging in an act of TERRORISM because the socialist lost. He went on to say that the nation is divided as it was during the Civil War. Formal education is becoming indoctrination, not education. Children are being subjected to brainwashing and this video is just the tip of the iceberg.
Man’s inhumanity to man, backed by the scum in the White House….

Another example of Islam, the compassionate religion.

While the US does not have an accurate total for illegal immigrants, it does have a total for illegal immigrants that have committed other crimes than simple illegal entry into the US.
That total is known to be about 800,000, although many have not been deport, but just released and have failed to show up for court appearance.
It’s not PC to say it, but criminality is rampant in Latin America. I can say this with authority, having lived and worked in various places for 13 years. I can’t tell you how many times I have been told to ‘trust no one’. I consider it to be a cultural issue, the legacy of colonialism and neocolonialism.
BTW, it was Latina friends who enlightened me on this issue, removing the remainder of the PC blinders with which I arrived.
It may be a cultural issue, but is it a result of colonialism or heritage ? Is Anglo- different from latino-?
One could compare anglo-based colonialism…..e.g. Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Figi, even Hawaii with spanish-based colonialism…..?
oops Fiji
Big issue. But in brief, Anglos arrived with families to settle long-term, and exterminated natives. A horrible history. But what they established on that foundation of genocide was a society with some modicum of law, order, and justice. At least in the US, which is what I’m familiar with.
In Latin America, on the other hand, the conquistadores were criminal men in Spain who came to the Americas with the idea of looting and returning home wealthy. Few Spanish women came. The conquistadores didn’t exterminate the natives because they needed their labor. Instead, they mixed with the native population, and if a native woman wasn’t willing, rape was likely the norm. The Spanish crown set up a complex system of social control that pitted people against each other–spaniards, mestizos, and indigenous. The more privileged within that system could commit atrocities against the less priveleged with impunity. This went on for centuries, and left its stamp.
I’m no historian, but this is the gist of how it happened, to the best of my knowledge. John Hemming wrote a couple of interesting books, The Conquest of the Incas, and Tree of Rivers (on Amazonia). Tree of Rivers, as brutal as is the history it relates, understates the true brutality that occurred.
China Responds: Will Return Stolen Drone, “Regrets US Hype”
Shortly after president-elect Trump’s “unprecedented action” tweet, Chinese authorities responded via their mouthpiece The China People’s Daily:

Who would you trust? CIA or Putin. I think I would go with Putin.
Paul…………”PUTIN”
Ditto, IT!
Lies are the bread and butter of the CIA
But so far as I know, this is not even that!! It’s just an anonymous source, supposedly from the CIA. What a bunch of Malarkey.
As NSA whistleblower William Binney points out, if the allegation about the hacks being Russian are true, the NSA knows:
Obviously, the ‘fake news’ and ‘Russian hacks’ memes are a transparent effort to distract from all the malfeasance and outright crime revealed in wikileaks.
The current situation with in the current Governmental construct is literally a nightmare with in a nightmare. Both of these candidates of Trump/Clinton are deep NWO operatives that would and will change nothing and will do exactly as their told.
The current system is nothing more than a giant, powerful, well oiled nation state organized crime machine with unlimited power to bear upon the opposition and that machine works at the behest of the Military, Banking, Religious and Social Engineering system rulers. The system is buckling under massive pressure but the power players that put it in place will never relinquish power.
Donald Trump for all his bravado will turn out to be a huge nothing burger when its all said and done.
The writing is already on the wall as Washington DC’s well entrenched cast of political and banking characters will be plentiful in Trumps cabinet if he makes it that far. Nothing will change for the little people and nothing will truly be resolved.
The demonic rulers that reside in most every powerful country of worth will stop at nothing to remain in power and they will achieve those goals by consent or conquest. The point to have cared and attempted to reel in the out of control Leviathan in a peaceful process has already passed.
Trump is nothing more than a band-aid on a gaping gushing bleeding wound. The deep state is adrift in a vast ocean of darkness and paralysis by design.
Well at least the British can recognize propaganda:
Meanwhile in Germany the compassionate religion continues…

Anyone here care to know what Gary Savage has been doing this weekend? He has been eliminating all subscribers who ridicule him about his bad trades including myself and about ten others or more that I’m aware of. He’s running a complete dictatorship within his compound with a Napoleon syndrome attitude. He is also deleting negative comments on his free blog and then banning the posters! What a creep.

Trump: China should keep seized US drone
http://www.thehill.com/policy/international/310913-trump-china-should-keep-us-drone
Jeez, if somebody would hack his Twitte-account there would be war within hours. Hedgefunds are already developing algos to short any stock/company he mentions.
The daily Reckoning published a figure containing the Federal Reserve interest rates, projected and actual over the last few years:
https://dailyreckoning.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/fedsmisleadingstatements.png
If you look at this figure or diagram, one can reach a conclusion:
The Federal Reserve is EITHER TOTALLY INCOMPETENT or is
COMPOSED OF A BUNCH OF LIARS.
I defy anyone to look at the figure and reach a different conclusion.
I was just told something by someone inside the London banking system, for which I do NOT have corroboration, but is interesting.
He says, one should not focus on gold being shipped to China, but on the amount of silver being shipped there.
I have not been able to find verifiable data on the volume of silver being shipped from London to China.
It does make sense, however:
For gold: London price: $1134.59, SGE price: $1179.51
Premium = 3.17%
For Silver: London price: $16.06, SGE price: $17.81
Premium = 10.90%
The Chinese are paying about three times a higher premium for silver compared to gold.
A comment on Obama’s talk of Russian hacking:
The theft of an American drone in the South China Seas has been reported in the MSM, but it seems to me China is a much greater threat than Russia for other reasons, e.g. listen to :

One of the biggest upsides to a Trump victory is the demise of the neoconservative movement, which is neither new nor conservative. These brainiacs have reaped untold destruction and need to be put out to pasture.
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/2016/12/16/bye-bye_neocons_398018.html
We can hope! But if that’s the case, why did Trump tap Michael Flynn as National Security Advisor? Flynn co-authored a book with notable neoconservative Michael Ledeen, so one assumes they’re on the same page.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out, but I was primarily referring to chicken-hawk policy makers who had this grand idea to reshape the Middle East in our image. Sheer insanity! LTG (ret) Flynn knows better. However, the knew administration will likely be more aggressive against ISIS. But, just how are they going to do that?
The good news is that the President-elect has surrounded himself with competent, experienced people who actually know what they’re doing.
http://victorhanson.com/wordpress/has-trump-nominated-too-many-military-leaders-or-not-enough/
ISIS. They could stop supporting the Saudis, Turks, etc. in supporting ISIS…
The Turks, I’m not clear on the reality of the ostensible coup attempt recently. But how is it that the US allowed the huge caravans of oil tankers from Syria to Turkey? The Russians accomplished more in their first 6 weeks than the the US did in the prior 18 months. One must assume this wasn’t due to incompetence on the part of the US.
We know from wikileaks that Sec. State Hillary Clinton knew the Saudis and Qataris were funding and arming ISIS, while the US was funding the Saudis, and while the Clinton Foundation was receiving millions from the Saudis.

Sorry here’s the top page:

I read his free blog fairly often and find it useful. I do find his ‘everyone but me always gets it wrong’ rhetoric to be irritating.
But this SMT exposed site looks over the top to me. There’s been this strange feud between he and Avi Gilburt for quite some time now. Avi was quite a provocative jerk to Gary when Gary was still participating at KER. And Gary wasn’t big enough to refuse to rise to the bait. Or so I saw it. I haven’t picked through his trading record. But as I say, I see plenty of useful insight on his free blog.
Anyway, that’s about all the time I have for this kind of thing. I glean insights where I can, do my own analysis, and take full responsibility for my trades.
Read the latest mishap towards the bottom of the page.
He’s kicking all that critique his losing trades on his paid site and free site.
He’s been dead wrong on gold, energy, USD, and the stock market for the last 6 months!
Caught On Tape: China’s Currency Rigging
With the Yuan at its weakest against the Dollar since May 2008, it’s becoming harder and harder (and more and more expensive) for China to hide/defend its devaluation strategy (CNH down over 13% since the ‘one-off’ Aug 2015 devaluation).
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-12-18/caught-tape-chinas-currency-rigging
Not sure just what the big deal is with China devaluing.
We have been in a currency war for years now.
I forget, was it Sweden or Switzerland that devalued 20% in 1 day?
A currency war really is ridiculous, the winner being the guy that kills himself first.
Ya, people are geniuses.
The issue of course is after a currency war we should get trade wars, then of course bullets fly.
Hope Trump can stop it.
